Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eye Studio Master Drama Kohl Liner
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 10/13/2012 12:48:00 PM

I love black eyeliner and this one is pretty decent. very creamy, glides on without pulling or anything. doesn't smudge -big plus here! my mother has watery eyes and all the other kohls I got her end up under the waterline after 10 minutes!!!- I use this mainly on the waterline and it's a matte dramatic black that I love. it lost one lippy with me because it irritates my eyes just a bit. they are very sensitive though so the fact that they are only mildly irritated rather then blood red and watery tells you alot. won't repurchase as I'm still looking for a brand more suitable to my sensitive eyes

Palettes -Too Faced - Summer Eye
rated 3 of 5
Kidlike 10/6/2012 1:45:00 PM

this is the first time I try too faced eyeshadows. I love all their other products though so I thought they could do no wrong really. to me this palate is more of a 'work in progress' rather then a stand alone palate. as most commented the packaging is lovely with all the see seashells and lovely eye look but it follows the new too faced packaging where there is only a silly pocket in the upper lid with three -make up look- cheat cards. honestly the palate is arranged in such a way that makes it obvious which colours to pair and I would rather have the old packaging with the little drawer for the sponge/brush below the shadows to hide my eye pencil or brush in it when traveling. the colours themselves are lovely and diverse BUT the first line with the light colours are more of a shimmer add on then a stand alone, they go on too glittery and require a base. also because of the glitter you get alot of fall out if used without a base/primer. the second line I like but the very first colour (Plumeria) I felt was a bit chalky compared to the others. not happy with the third lines (the browns) the first two were too shimmery for my outer V and oddly the colour toasted chocolate sun tended to mud up mermaid when I tried them together as the card suggested . I like toasted coconut since it's a matte colour but it requires a touch of black to give it more depth when applied in the outer corner. overall it's a lovely palate but it raises your expectations and you get tricked into thinking that it can be a good stand alone. I would not re-purchase it as I think too faced could do better. to me it's more of a 3.5 star palate

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
rated 5 of 5
Kidlike 10/2/2012 5:23:00 PM

lovely shimmery colour, smooth on application and photographs nicely. I love that I can use it as an eyeshadow rather then just a base, it stayed put for the 6 hours I used it when I went to a few weddings. it looks so sophisticated with a little black in the inner and outer corners of my eyelid PLUS it doesn't crease or slid from it's place even on it's on without any powder on top of it. the packaging is a fancy glass jar that looks and feels like a high end item not a drug store item. CONS:- the colour itself is very fancy and shimmery so more of an evening colour and not something I'd wear for work or something.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 9/27/2012 3:39:00 PM

this is my first time trying this range so I decided to go with the bronze and the taupe to test them out. compared to the bronze one this has a matte finish and a very strange colour! in the pot it looks like two shades a brighter brown then the bronze (minus the sheer) but on the eyelids it's very unusual, between brown and gray I'd say and very flattering. I don't have any colours similar to it so what I usually do is apply a creamy almost bright neutral beige in the inner corners of my eyes, taupe on the rest of my eye lid and then a touch of matte black in the outer corner to add depth to it. I'd recommend using a concealer brush for this one cause I noticed it applies it much much better then my eye shadow one, I prefer matte and satin finishes so I prefer it over the bronze one. it lost a lippy because it doesn't photo as well as the others, also because the colour is dark you can't really brighten it otherwise it'll mud the colour, only darken it.

Eyeliner -MAC - Heirloom eye kohl
rated 5 of 5
Kidlike 8/16/2012 5:57:00 AM

I visited MAC a few days back to get a white kohl pencil, I wanted something with a more a frosty / iridescent finish then the usual matted one they had so the MA pulled out Heirloom. it was the very last piece they had from a previous collection (currently DC) and advised me to try it. I still don't know why I got this, it's a cross between lilac and silver, very frosty but not in an EWWW over kill way, a very very sophisticated colour. and I'm the type that prefers vibrant to sophisticated honestly but i gave it a shot. it really brightens the eyes, especially with a smoky eye look and adds a lovely flare to them. I'm NC15 with deep brown eyes and heirloom adds even more drama and flare to my eyes. I looked everywhere for an extra one to keep as back but so far I can't find anything to replace it so it's me "special occasions only" colour D=

Lipstick -MAC - Dear Diary
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 8/14/2012 6:24:00 AM

this is from MACs new Beth Ditto collection. MAC calls the lipsticks in this collection "Pro longwear lip creme" and claims they last up to twelve hours, super light weight, none transferable creamy and moisturizing. so a reality check was in order. the colour is a lovely medium to full coverage fuchsia magenta pink, very neon. it starts with a satin finish but then ends up looking "almost" matte. colour is similar to candy yum yum that is more cool toned. unlike other creme lipsticks the coverage is great! the texture is nice and smooth and there is a hint of vanilla scent in it but no taste. it's on the cremey side but not to sticky or uncomfortable, it does transfer when I drink something and with me lasted the same as a normal lipstick so I don't see why it's called long wear other then for marketing purposes. the shape of the lipstick makes precision difficult for me since I have small lips so I have to use a brush to apply it properly the reason it lost a lippy with me but otherwise worth checking! will upload a picture of it soon

Lipstick -Graftobian - hot pink
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 8/5/2012 4:38:00 AM

as the name suggests this colour is PINK! but it's not a neon screaming pink like Anime from OCC. it's still a bold colour, the texture is nice and creamy, excellent coverage, long lasting and high quality with no feathering and it didn't dry out my lips so a bonus point for that. with me it lost one lippy because of the smell. there is a rather strong chemical smell to this lipstick but it doesn't last after application and the lipstick is tasteless. the smell did put me off the thing though so won't be buying more lipsticks from this company

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 3 of 5
Kidlike 7/25/2012 1:16:00 PM

Pros :- - nice slick packaging - wide range of tones both NC & NW Cons:- - the NC is too yellow - it WILL make you look dry if your skin is anything but flawless. - thick thick and THICK texture. gross!!! - coverage is light to medium which is surprising with such a thick texture... I'm going back to my bare minerals, what a waste of good money. also DO NOT depend on the MU in the MAC counter to match your foundations, mine gave me an NW six months back even though I'm a crystal clear cool toned person -which is why I only wear silver jewelry- anyway most of the Tech line is either too yellow or too pink that you need to mix it which I never had to do with my other foundations including studio sculpt.

Misc Beauty Tools -Make Up For Ever - Brush Cleanser
rated 2 of 5
Kidlike 7/25/2012 9:15:00 AM

disappointed. that's the only way to describe this product. normally I'd use a a home made cleanser (thank you enKore) for a quick clean and wash my brushes on the weekend. I decided to try this since it was $18 at sephora over here and 230ml of product plus the fact that it was in the spray bottle so I thought why not. this is a really BAD product!!! it takes a few sprays to clean my eye brushes and alot more for my face one. plus no matter what you do the gel and cream based products WILL REMAIN ON THE BRUSH!!!!! I have to wash them which defeats the purpose of getting this thing anyway! don't be fooled by the size of the bottle, you'll go through it in a snap and your brushes will still need to be washed anyway D= stick to MAC or the home made recipe and away from this thing...

Blush -MAC - Harmony
rated 5 of 5
Kidlike 7/25/2012 7:07:00 AM

this colour is perfect! I'm an NC 15 and have a hard time finding a decent contouring colour. most look either too dark and unnatural or orange. harmony however is just right. it's a matte brown with no hint of orange or red, pigmentation is super good as you would expect from a high end brand like MAC. personally I find that alot of MAC's blushes are too light subtle and very few would give you that dramatic look so I haven't repurchased any of the ones I got yet however this one I'd highly recommend! one thing though, my sis is an NC35-40 and this blush doesn't work on her so well so I wouldn't recommend it if you have darker skin tones then 30.

Lipstick -MAC - Sail La Vie
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 6/24/2012 5:37:00 AM

love the packaging of the new Hey sailor! collection!!!! it's down right adorable!!!! but now to the actual lipstick. I feel I got tricked into buying this to be honest. when I tried it on in the store I had applied it rather thickly and it was blood ORANGE!!!! this caused three of the SA to approach me and complement the colour heavily. I'm a NW15 with pink warm undertones so orange generally suits me and the texture of the lipstick is rather nice. it says satin but gives a more matted finish without being too dry. applied heavily it's really loud and eyecatching but never clownish like some other bold colours tend to be so I now wear it for occasions only. I would not buy this again as I'm not getting much use out of it as it is. but for special occasions it makes a lovely colour for the summer. be sure to try it out first before purchasing as I've noticed it looked better on me when I tan a bit.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Cleanse- Tea Tree Special Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
Kidlike 5/20/2012 9:15:00 PM

I hate it... I've decided to try it out because the smell was so nice but it irritates my scalp BADLY afterwards. I guess it's the sulfate in it. also I read below that this is a deep cleansing shampoo and I can honestly say I've had better then this, it doesn't lather which at first I thought was a good thing but I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or something. it requires at least 2 washes to properly clean your hair, it leaves it with an odd sensation. like there is still some off it you haven't rinsed properly, also it drys it out badly even with the use of conditioner. my hair is dry as it is and I thought this thing would give it more volume, instead all it did was make my scalp angry and my hair dry and brittle. the only good thing I can say about it is that mint smell is nice :(

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Miracle Cure
rated 4 of 5
Kidlike 5/13/2012 5:48:00 AM

my nails are generally on the weak side but recently I went over-kill with nail polish and this caused them to become brittle and peel. anyway I picked up a bottle of this stuff hoping for a quick fix, my nails were in a pretty bad shape after I tried a new type of polish on them. as the box instructed I applied a coat every alternative day and I noticed the difference on day 3. the peeling stopped, my nails seem to harden a bit. I've used it for a week so far and pretty pleased with the results, this one delivers :)

Fragrances -Paco Rabanne - Black XS for Her
rated 5 of 5
Kidlike 5/11/2012 2:27:00 PM

the best way I could describe this scent is a man's perfume with a touch of femininity in the undertone. I suppose this is a horrible way to describe a scent I love but it is what it is , the scent is strong and very fierce in the beginning however in time it the smell doesn't even soften but rather takes on a sweet almost acidic tone. unlike my previous perfume this one doesn't break down easily, you can splash some one and know for sure it'll be there hours later :) I love this perfume, I really do and it seems to grab the attention of most of my co-workers (the female ones sadly, men can't tell something is different about you unless you suddenly walk in with your hair on fire!!!!). however it is more of an evening scent, way too strong for me in the morning. I would advise you to try it on before purchasing, it's not for the timid!!!

Fragrances -Givenchy - Ange ou Demon
rated 3 of 5
Kidlike 5/9/2012 9:17:00 AM

I want to give it a 3.5 to be honest since it was one of my favorites. the scent is more of a winter/fall smell with a mix of oriental spices and a touch of floral to it, a very sophisticated scent. the perfume is odd. when you put it on it seems to be too strong but withen one hour the smell starts to break down. it doesn't last with me =/ also the bottle is not travel friendly, the cap isn't secured at all so I can never carry it with me... it seems to make an impression on people though, last year I wore it to a family gathering and got asked about it alot. that same year on my birthday I received a grand total of 6 bottles (all full size) of the stuff. do I really need that much of it X3
