Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 6/18/2013 10:32:00 AM

I put off buying this for a long time, despite the hype. The name "bronze" just didn't appeal to me. However, once I bought it and swatched it myself, I was hooked. The color isn't really a bronze--there are no coppery tones in it at all. It's actually more of a shimmery taupe with a bit of golden undertones. I absolutely love it! I often wear it alone for a simple shimmery eye look, and on my green eyes it looks really stunning. Sometimes, when I'm feeling fancy, I layer over the top of it the taupe shade from the ELF "Day 2 Night" quad just to enhance the color. On its own, though, it's seriously gorgeous. And they're not kidding about the color "tattoo" tagline. This stuff lasts all day on me without creasing! I highly recommend getting it if you want to save time on your eyeshadow look.

Polishes -Essie - snap happy
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 5/29/2013 10:53:00 AM

This polish was such a treat to use. It came out in the Winter 2012 collection, but I think this color could work in warmer months too (not that I always follow the rules for nail polish seasons). The formula was buttery and incredibly smooth--it could definitely be a one-coater, but I rarely ever do one coat of any polish. Very nice polish, and I love the color too. It's a beautiful creamy orange-red. I would repurchase!

Cleansers -Noxzema - Original Skin Cream
rated 5 of 5

I really love this stuff. It removes makeup really well, and it makes my skin feel very soft and refreshed. With other cleansers, they feel really good for a few days, and then my skin starts to develop a tolerance of them and the effects go away. That doesn't happen with Noxzema! My skin consistently feels great after washing with it. Definitely a staple product for me. Also, I've used the Equate brand of this. They have the same ingredients, as far as I can tell, but the original just feels creamier to me, and it leaves my skin feeling more refreshed.

Polishes -Essie - Fiji
rated 2 of 5
KellynElise 4/28/2013 10:54:00 AM

This polish, though a really pretty classic color, is such a pain to work with. It takes quite a few coats to get it opaque, which I wouldn't mind if the formula wasn't so bad. It gets kind of streaky, and it can be thick too. I wouldn't mind this too much if the product was cheaper, but Essie polishes go for $8, and I think for that price the formula ought to be better. I'll continue to use it while I still have it, but when I run out I won't be repurchasing Fiji.

Polishes -China Glaze - Sky High-Top
rated 5 of 5

This is such a nice quality polish. In the bottle it's a bright medium blue with subtle blue shimmer; however on my nails the shimmer doesn't transfer. That's just as well because I prefer a creamy finish. The formula is pretty flawless too. It basically paints itself on the nails. Dried pretty quickly, too. Very nice!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri in Lightening
rated 4 of 5
KellynElise 4/26/2013 12:10:00 PM

I know most reviewers of this product don't really like it because it's a pretty thick formula. I agree that it's thick, but in my opinion it's better to have a thick yellow polish than a thin and streaky one. The latter formula is what drugstore yellows usually have. Lightening is a bright, slightly golden yellow that is opaque on me in two coats. I really prefer pastel yellows, but I do like this one pretty well. It does take a little bit of special attention to get a nice look with this polish--like I said, it's thick, and it also has a flat, wide brush. For the price, though, I think it's an okay polish. If it was more expensive, though, I wouldn't be able to overlook the less-than-perfect formula. If you want a golden-yellow for summer, maybe try this one out.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush - Mellow Wine 833D
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 4/23/2013 8:39:00 PM

Before I bought it, I barely gave this blush a second glance at the store. However, now that I own it, I'm in love. Mellow Wine is a totally matte rose color with a hint of peach. I love to wear this when I don't want all the attention to be on my cheeks. Beautiful for a natural look. It's so soft and buttery, and like all Wet 'n' Wild blushes, very pigmented. I use a light hand when I apply it--literally just a tap into the pan--and it looks very natural and pretty on me. I'm really liking this blush!

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Cherry Me
rated 4 of 5
KellynElise 4/18/2013 4:45:00 PM

I bought this mainly for the sheer red tint it gives, rather than for the moisture factor. It's the perfect Popsicle red stain; really nice for a natural look. It's pretty moisturizing, too, but nothing spectacular. If you're shy about a full-on red lip and want to edge your way into that look, try this. I paid about $3 for it and I plan to try more colors. Oh, and it smells yummy! EDIT: I've been wearing this a ton lately, and my gentleman friend commented that my lips feel really soft. I guess that's the ultimate test for "baby lips." ;)

Concealers -Neutrogena - 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 4/17/2013 7:56:00 AM

I've been using this for years, and I really like it. My skin is pretty oily and some products tend to fade. With this, I only need a small amount for both eyes, and if I set it with a powder, it won't crease or fade. It also covers pretty nicely. It also has SPF. Very nice product; will repurchase.

Brows -Cover Girl - Brow and Eye Makers
rated 4 of 5
KellynElise 4/16/2013 3:21:00 PM

I never hear people talking about these, but I really like these pencils for filling in my brows! I use Soft Brown, and I've literally had both pencils for years and continue to use them. Apparently they're meant to be eyeliners too, but I wouldn't use it on my eyelids. They're really soft and waxy, and they're really quick for filling in my brows. I always go over my brows with a brow comb to blend in the color and it always looks really good! They're dirt cheap too; can't beat it! I took off a lippie because you have to sharpen them, and I prefer automatic pencils, but I still love these pencils!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 4/16/2013 7:26:00 AM

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said about this product. This is the most buildable mascara I've ever tried; I could layer this stuff all day long and it would look great. Beautiful volume, pretty good length. Don't notice any smudges/flaking with this, but it's easy to take off. Love love love!

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Long Last Glosswear SPF 15 in Goldspun 01
rated 2 of 5
KellynElise 4/16/2013 7:24:00 AM

Sheer gold lipgloss. I really like the color; it would look good on the center of the lower lip for a little fullness and shine. However, like most other Clinique lip products, it tickles my throat when it's on my lips. The color's really pretty, but I could find it elsewhere for a cheaper price, and I hate wearing it because it makes me cough. :/

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick - Mega Melon
rated 4 of 5
KellynElise 4/9/2013 3:53:00 PM

I got a mini version of Mega Melon in a gift-with-purchase kit. It's a warm peachy-rosy color in a cute little crayon-shape. It's decently moisturizing when it's freshly applied, but after the color wears off, my lips feel drier than before. Not a fan of that. The color's nice for when you wanna look fresh and natural, but I wouldn't pay $14 for a full-size once the sample runs out.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Dark Kiss
rated 2 of 5
KellynElise 4/6/2013 12:23:00 PM

This is a really sexy deep fruity scent that I really do like--however, it breaks me out pretty badly on my body, so I will not be repurchasing. Stronger scents like this one tend to disagree with my skin. If you don't have a problem with body acne from strong scents, though, you might like this.

Eye Shadow -Essence - Cappuccino Please
rated 5 of 5
KellynElise 4/2/2013 9:37:00 AM

This is a beautiful shimmery cream color. Very pigmented for the price. The texture is VERY soft--soft enough that I generally just use my fingers to apply it. If I were to compare it to something more high-end, I'd say Cappuccino Please is a bit more warm-toned than, say, Urban Decay Virgin. I use it as a highlight color on my browbone and in the inner corner of my eye, and I also like to pat it on my cheekbones for a quick highlight. It's a very nice quality shadow for a very low price. Pick it up!
