Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Herbaceuticals Inc. - Naturcolor - all shades

I have been a level 8 strawberry blonde for almost two years now usually using Miss Clairol Pro 8R. A week ago I ran across Naturcolor at Wholefoods and figured it might be a nice natural alternative, WRONG, the color I chose, Light Tumeric Blonde (8R), came out more like a muddy level 4 neutral red. I'm now trying every trick in the book to get it to fade. I would imagine that if you are wanting to achieve a darker color this line is worth it, but for a bright strawberry blonde it stinks.

Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Larenim Mineralash
KellyBag 1/29/2010 5:22:00 PM
I absolutely hated this mascara when I first started using it. It seemed to me that the brush and the formula weren't suitable for one another, it was messy to apply and it smudged way too easily. So I gave it several second chances because the formula truly is all natural, the smell is almost comforting (reminds me of chai) and my lashes did feel softer and not so dried out after using it. Update: If I could give this mascara zero stars I would, it's got to be the worst wearing mascara there has ever been, believe me I have been racking my brain trying to find a way to make this stuff work. It smudges from the time you put it on until you wash it off of your entire eye area, I say that because within a few hours that's where it ends up.. ALL OVER YOUR EYE AREA. As I sit here writing this, I am absolutely bummed because the ingredients are wonderful, the smell is wonderful, and the finished effect is stunning; but it takes an army of cotton swabs and alot of patience to get to that final result, and within an hour it's a mess again. Larenim powders and shadows cannot be beat, but this mascara just plain sucks.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Pure Ice nail color in 'Electric'
KellyBag 12/15/2008 4:50:00 PM
I've always been a big fan of Dior's color line, but a few nights ago I was in WalMart and found a spot-on knockoff of Black Sequins. It's by 'ICE', and it's called 'Electric', I also use there knockoff of the original 'Vamp' and have never had a problem with chipping. So far so good, it's been on my toes for a week and a half and not a single chip, the true test will be my finger nails, as very few polishes stick to them. Wear, and color wise it's a perfect match.

Since I started using this, my skin has never looked better. It's soft, and has a nice healthy glow. I also like that this has camellia oil in it, which has been the beauty secret of Geishas for centuries.

Cleansers -California Baby - Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash
KellyBag 12/4/2008 4:07:00 PM
I have been looking for a new shampoo to replace my Giovanni 'Smooth as Silk' since they changed the formula considerably to a much less natural formula. I have to say, I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO. As mentioned earlier, it doesn't lather much, but it leaves my hair clean, shiny, and very soft, and though it's a bit pricey, It cleans so well and rinses completely, so I can go a couple of days without shampooing and my hair still looks clean. It has become my HG shampoo.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
KellyBag 7/17/2008 8:26:00 PM
I love this eyeliner, better than my former hg liner, the Lancome Artliner. I was a bit put off at first because I had never used a cream liner, but after wearing it the first time I'm hooked, I love it. And thanks to previous reviewers for the heads-up on the included brush, it is better suited for eyebrow powder, probably the best brow brush I've used.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Andrea Eye Q Daily Intensive Eye Creme

I have never had a problem with this eye cream separating or anything else like that, for many years it was my hg eye cream, unfortunately it has become very difficult to find, Rite Aid used to carry it but I haven't seen it for sometime now. If you see it on the shelves buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Fragrances -Robert Piguet Fragrances - Fracas
KellyBag 6/9/2008 3:15:00 PM
I just love to read the reviews about how overbearing a fragrance like Fracas is and if you've read any of my reviews you also know I despise the term "old lady"; well today I was surprised to find a reviewer calling the Fracas bottle boring, so apparently there is this slumber party of girls out there who would complain, even if there were a perfect fragrance that made boys look at you like you were a goddess, because there's no disco ball on the cap.. I have visions of these same girls picking up a bottle of Fracas and spraying it on them like it were a Hollister or Abercrombie spritz then walking away with a bad first impression because they aren't of the 'dab on the pulse point' generation. Fracas is one of those goddess fragrances, so all you nay sayers, get a map of your pulse points and start practicing your dab, then come back here and let us know your opinion.

Pressed Powders -New York Color - Pressed Translucent Powder
KellyBag 2/28/2008 6:02:00 AM
First let me say I love this powder, it's cheap and it does the job, also has a fairly simple list of ingredients; as for the packaging, well that's another story. Thank goodness it's easy to pop out of it's flimsy plastic compact because it fits perfectly in my old T Leclerc compact. Go ahead, try it yourself, I assume it'll fit in any high end compact, providing of course it's a round one.

I love this because it reminds me of the original Gio, a fragrance I wore many years ago. Very soft and sophisticated, the fabric sheathed bottle is a very nice touch.

Fragrances -Revlon - Jean Nate After Bath Splash original scent
KellyBag 2/17/2008 4:16:00 AM
I think this is clean, crisp, and light; exactly what an after bath splash should be. Cheap? No. But I suppose you'd have to be cheap to know what cheap smells like.

Fragrances -Emilio Pucci - Vivara EDP
KellyBag 2/17/2008 4:11:00 AM
Just picked up a bottle at Sephora, I love this fragrance. The bottle is just lovely, topped with the fragrances namesake, the Pucci Vivara print that appeared on garments and accessories in the sixties.

Treatments (Eye) -La Vitton - Rejuvenating Eye Oil
KellyBag 1/19/2008 9:47:00 PM
I love this in the winter, does wonders around the eyes, it really is a nice product, my only complaint, is how poorly it is packaged, twice now I have received it only to find that a good third of the oil has leaked during shipping. I would repurchase if they'd use better packaging; instead of cheap plastic bottles that don't travel well.

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Eudermine
KellyBag 1/17/2008 4:51:00 PM
Okay, I have my opinions when it comes to nature verses science, but I have to draw the line when the first ingredient in a product is Butylene Glycol, aka 1,4-Butanediol, which is a chemical solvent used in the manufacturing of plastics, most recently the Bindeez toys which were essentially becoming the date rape drug when ingested. no wonder it softens skin if it's used to soften industrial plastics. I say buy a gallon of peony hydrosol for 50 bucks and use that instead. I did however give this a five for packaging because the bottle is gorgeous. Good presentation get's me everytime.
