Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Schick - Hydro 5
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:35:00 AM
This is my absolute favorite razor, and I have tried a lot of them! I went through a phase where I HAD TO HAVE female razors, because I was a female, and that phase was crushed when my campus was giving away these razors like candy (I actually went home with 4). I started using it as soon as I ran out of razors in my Schick intuition and I fell in love. I have never gotten as good of a shave as this razor gave me, and I almost ALWAYS got razor burn before I got the Schick Hydro 5. I actually recently upgraded to the Power Select version of this razor (the electric one) and I love it even more. I even have converted several of my friends and family members over to this razor! The best part about this razor? How dirt cheap the blades are. I don't think I'll ever want to change razors.

Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:29:00 AM
I bought this makeup because I am prone to Acne and I really enjoyed the skin-clearing pressed powder. I mix this product with a little bit of my favorite moisturizer because otherwise it is horrible and doesn't "blend" into my skin. If you don't mix it with moisturizer, it leaves a weird powder-y look to your makeup and just sits strange. It also was heavier than I expected, and I definitely knew I was wearing makeup. The packaging is nothing to write home about either, it is exactly like any other drug store run-of-the-mill packaging. Just a glass pour-out jar with a lid. The thing that set me over the edge with this product was the fact that it actually broke me out. This "skin-clearing" makeup made my skin breakout far worse than it usually did. I have recently discovered that my skin doesn't like salic acid, which is why this product did this to me, which is why I am not giving it a 0 rating. It would probably work for someone that does not have problems with salic acid, and if you work with the product (mix it a little bit and apply sparingly) it can look nice. Or you could just buy a different foundation that looks good without mixing it with other products...

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Deep Cleansing Cream with Soap Bark and Chamomile
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:21:00 AM
I wouldn't say that I adore this product, because I feel that there is a product of better value out there that I could get. However, it makes my skin feel wonderful after I use it. I wish that I didn't have to carefully remove my makeup before I used it, or that I could use it on my eyes (because they get oily too!) I do like how it makes my combination skin look and feel. I am prone to breakouts, and this tends to make my skin clearer and softer looking. It also smells absolutely lovely, and doesn't dry out my skin or make it oilier. For now, it is my go-to face wash, but I am still on the lookout, because I am SURE there is something better out there. Note: I also use this with one of the scrublets from the Loreal 360 clean facewashes.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Pomegranate Raspberry
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:16:00 AM
This is my absolute favorite lip balm ever. The packaging is a little bit awkward, but it makes it easy to find in your bag. I have these in several flavors, but this particular one is my favorite. It doesn't have a very strong flavor, and it doesn't have a super overwhelming scent. It is just soft and very pom-rasp. It is one of the only products besides a lip butter treatment at night that doesn't leave my lips desperate for more as soon as it wears off. I really do love this product, even if it DOES feel weird putting it in my pocket.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Sun Protecting Lip Balm SPF 8 with Passionfruit
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:13:00 AM
Once again, Burt's Bees let me down with lip balms. I always assume that their products are going to feel wonderful on my lips, and when the original did nothing, I thought maybe it was the peppermint oil in it that made it bad. This product did the same thing, making my lips dependent on the product and not helping to improve my lips unless it was currently applied (aka my lips felt like crap the moment it wore off) Plus this particular lip balm left a disgusting residue on my lips that made my lips look sickly white/blue.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:09:00 AM
I used to love this product and think that I was treating my lips when I used it. I noticed that if I didn't use it for even a few hours though, my lips seemed to get very upset and dry, and then if I used the balm again, my lips would burn for a few moments and then start to feel "better". I started to use lip butters from B&BW and from Sally's, and I realized that my lips were feeling better whether I constantly applied or not. I stopped using Burt's Bees after that and switched to EOS and Lipbutter, and my lips feel healthier. I wouldn't rank this lip balm any better than the 98 cent crap at the registers in quality. At least those lip balms are priced appropriately.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Hand Salve
Kellitor 2/6/2013 10:01:00 AM
I got a sample of this as a gift from a friend, and I fell in love with it. I like the smell, it is tangy and herbal (though people around me can't stand it. They call it an old man smell). However, I enjoyed it more because of how wonderful it made my hands feel. I work at a fast food restaurant, so between drive-thru windows and submerging my hands in water all day, my hands get very dry. This stuff really works to make my hands feel more back to normal. I stopped using it during the day because it bothered other people, so I only use it at work and at night anymore. I took off points because the packaging is absolutely awful and the smell is offensive to other people. If you wanted to carry it around, I recommend putting it in a plastic bag, because it WILL come open and get all over your stuff, as well as little particles will get into the product.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
Kellitor 2/6/2013 9:55:00 AM
I adore this eyeshadow primer. It is the first one I had ever used, and I chose it over urban decay's primer potion simply because I knew that I would be able to get the last bits of the primer out of the tube more easily than the hard plastic of the primer potion. My friend swears by the Primer Potion, and having tried it, I really see no big difference between the two besides the packaging. Using Shadow Insurance makes my makeup last hours longer than it usually would, and completely eliminates any creasing I normally get within 2-3 hours of wearing my makeup. I have very very oily lids, so I cannot get away without using anything. Sometimes I like to wear just the primer because my eyelids get shiny throughout the day, and wearing the primer mattifys them. I've been using the Shadow Insurance now for two or three years, and the only annoyance I've had with it is that I recently discovered if you have a tube for a long time (one tube lasts me about a year), the product starts to separate and you have to shake it to get it to mix or you'll get an oil-y substance coming out of the tube first (kind of like ketchup water before the ketchup comes out). I would recommend this product to anyone who wears eye makeup at all, it absolutely is a staple. UD Primer Potion is also excellent, but I would always Shadow Insurance over it simply because it is easier to get all of the product out of the container. S.I is more economical than P.P for that reason alone.

Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - INM -- Northern Lights - Hologram Top Coat
Kellitor 2/6/2013 9:42:00 AM
I have been drooling over this top coat for several years before I actually bought it. Once I did, I wasn't disappointed at all! I love the way it looks, both by itself and as a top coat to pretty much any color. It dries unbelievably fast and it lasts decently long. My only complaint is that it peels, not like the snapping off kind of peeling either, but rather the once-it-gets-one-snag-the-entire-nailcolor-comes-off peeling. That is why I took off a point on this. I adore it, I really do, but as a topcoat alone it is a total fail. If you want a nice, fine-grained holographic sparkle though (which is what I wanted it for) it is stunning.

Skincare - Face -Beyond Belief - ABH Oil Free Moisturizer
Kellitor 1/24/2013 12:40:00 AM
This is going to be in two parts, the old formula and the new formula. The Old Formula: I made this purchase the first time when I saw it on the Sally's Clearance rack while searching for a new moisturizer. It was dirt cheap and I decided "why not?!" and picked it up and took it home. When I finally used it, It was much thicker than I was used to for a facial moisturizer and it took a long time to settle into my skin. I was nervous about break-outs and became reluctant to use it anymore. I kept using it however, when I realized that no breakouts were happening. I actually noticed less breakouts and more glowing skin, as well as a significant decrease in flake-y skin around my chin, cheeks and jawline. I decided to go back to Sally's in hopes of finding the product again. When I went to Sally's, I found out that the reason the product was on sale was because Beyond Belief released new packaging. The Lady at Sally's gave me a "cheat sheet" to find the new release of the product I had previously used. She swore up and down that the products were the same, just in different packaging. So I went out on a limb and trusted her, bought the product and went home. New Formula: I opened up the package and decided to swatch them side by side to see if there were any visual differences, and wow-ee. These products could not be visually and more different unless one was colored. The original formula is thick, creamy and an opaque white. The new formula is almost like a white cream-gel and is semi-opaque. As soon as I saw this, I was nervous, but I tried it anyways. The newer formula absorbs significantly faster into your skin, almost leaving the feeling of "I need more" to my face. It also gives a more tight feeling to my skin once it finally absorbs than the previous formula did. Once a little more time passes, my skin feels exactly the same as it did with the previous formula. So over all, I feel that the "two" products still do exactly the same thing, they just do it in different ways. Now that I have gotten used to the creamy texture of the old formula, I miss it. But I feel I can get used to the new formula just as well.

Scrubs -Beyond Belief - Vita C+ Exfoliating Apricot Citrus Scrub
Kellitor 1/24/2013 12:26:00 AM
So, I bought this product on a whim because I saw it on sale at Sally's Beauty. I went home and started using it and the very next day my skin was breaking out worse than usual. I kept using it thinking it was just something else, and then my skin got even worse. Without giving it another thought, I put it on my shelf and never really looked back until winter rolled around and my legs were really dry. I started using it as an exfoliation treatment before I shaved, and started to fall in love with the product. Gradually, I started to use the product on my face, and I broke out again. This time I didn't quit using the product, mostly out of curiosity. Two weeks later, my skin was suddenly looking the best it had ever looked. I was blown away with the product after that and I HAD to buy more (because at this point I had almost run out. I had been using it on my legs and whatnot.) I went to Sally's and found it hiding underneath some stuff, still in the clearance rack and bought two more bottles and went home with my loot. I decided to read some reviews on the products, and found that this particular product is "discontinued". I put that in quotes because of the fact that it is not discontinued, but the product that I am using is not the same as the product on the shelves in the new packaging. Beyond Belief changed the formulas of their products as well as the packaging, so beware if you love the original as much as I do!
