This is the one product that has gotten rid of 95% of my hormonal acne. It is nothing short of fantastic! I had read so many acne success stories about African black soap, so I got the true African black soap. It was way too harsh for my skin, and my skin isn't overly sensitive to begin with. So, I thought I'd give this soap a shot since it has an African black soap base but also skin soothing ingredients like shea butter, aloe, vitamin E, and rosemary extract. It removes every bit of makeup on my face, and it leaves it squeaky clean without being drying. I still use moisturizer afterward, because I have drier, aging skin, but the soap doesn't strip my skin like many other soaps have done. It smells so yummy, too. The color of the soap creates a gray lather, so it looks dirty and is a bit messy, but it all rinses away easily and is a small price to pay for a fantastic product. I've also taken to using this on my body. It's clearing my body acne and has cleared my keratosis pilaris completely. Completely! Anyone who deals with KP knows that it is difficult to control let alone get rid of. This stuff works. And at $3 a bar, you can't go wrong.
I bought this along with a few other Lush skincare products, and this is the only one I would not repurchase. I don't have severe acne, but I do deal with hormonal breakouts. With the first few applications I thought this was helping, but after the 4th or 5th application, my small acne turned into raging cystic acne in the places I applied this product. I discontinued usage, and my acne cleared up. Just to be sure, I applied it once more, and yes, there was the bad acne again. The ingredients in this are lovely, and I see that it works well for many people. However, it clogged my pores terribly and created the worst acne I've ever had.
Liquid -Unlisted Brand - Gabriel Cosmetics- Moisturizing Liquid Foundation

I love this foundation. I've have tried so many natural foundations with little success. I've stuck by MyChelle cream foundation, and I still love it and will continue to use it when I need less coverage, but Gabriel is the perfect liquid foundation. It's velvety smooth and creamy, and it provides great coverage without looking cakey and unnatural. It's moisturizing and yet doesn't leave my skin looking oily, so it's perfect for my slightly aging skin. It has been so difficult finding a non-toxic foundation that wasn't oily or drying and that provided a decent amount of coverage. Upon trying this foundation, I practically shouted, "FINALLY!"
Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Zuzu Luxe Oil-Free Liquid Foundation

This "foundation" provides less coverage than a tinted moisturizer would. I tried three different colors in the new formula, and although I was expecting light coverage, this did nothing for my skin. It soaked right into my skin and didn't even even-out my skin tone. This definitely isn't worth the money, especially since I'm hard pressed to find any value whatsoever in this so-called foundation. If you're looking for a natural foundation that actually provides coverage, try Gabriel Moisturizing Liquid Foundation.
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Bubble & Bee Organic Karma Apple Lip Balm
KelBel77 10/2/2010 2:08:00 AM
This lip balm is the best. I have both the Rootbeer and the Coconut & Lime lip balms, and they both feel, smell, and taste wonderful. They feel buttery on the lips, and leave a slight sheen. And you can't beat the price for such a great product. I'm tempted to throw out my Badger and Burt's Bees lip balm, because I don't see ever using anything other than Bubble & Bee's lip balms.
I love this stick. It is so moisturizing and works wonders on my tough, dry heels, my elbows, the backs of my hands, and any other rough spots. And it smells divine!
I've had this foundation for a month and have tried *everything* to make it work. It just doesn't. No matter the application process, the amount of product used, moisturizer, primer, etc., it still ends up so dry and cakey on my skin. I could have gone a shade up, since it dries much lighter and makes my face look like it's been dusted in flour *ick*. But even if I tried a darker shade, the texture is still way too cakey, even in my oily spots! I guess with my aging skin, this stuff just doesn't cut it.
Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - Bubble & Bee Organic Squeezed Lime Shower Gel
KelBel77 8/27/2010 1:14:00 PM
Bubble & Bee Organic has fantastic natural products, and this shower gel is one of them. My first reaction to the smell was, "YUM!" It smells exactly like a freshly cut lime, and I usually don't care for lime scents because they remind me of bathroom cleaners. This is an actual fresh lime smell, because they use real lime. This gel is 100% natural, no chemicals, no SLS, no parabens, and the kicker, absolutely no water. It foams up nicely using my soft bath pouf, it left my skin feeling clean (not stripped), and you could smell the lime for hours after my shower.
Conditioner -LUSH - R&B Revive & Balance Hair Moisturizer
KelBel77 8/27/2010 12:49:00 PM
This stuff is awesome. Just a tiny amount worked through the ends up into my hair leaves it touchably soft and frizz free. And the smell is divine. It contains jasmine, orange flower, and bay leaf that combined smells just like stargazer lilies, in my opinion. I've recently started to shy away from LUSH products because so many contain SLS, and I'm trying to steer clear of harmful chemicals. But this product is SLS-free! So it's a definite keeper.
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Bubble & Bee Organic Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser
KelBel77 8/27/2010 12:34:00 PM
Bubble & Bee Organics is a fabulous company that's putting out some quality products with "No Bad Stuff" in them. This facial cleanser is 80% organic, free from synthetic detergents, preservatives, fragrance, and fillers. And I love it! Firstly, it smells like sweet pineapple. It comes in pump form, and only a small pump (and I mean small) is needed, because a little goes a long way. It has a rich lather and glides across your face easily. It washes clean, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed without feeling tight, dry, and stripped. I'm also using B&B's Pit Putty and shower gel, and so far I am in love with their products.
This is a really nice, gentle peel. It made my skin feel really great. I prefer the Fiesta Fruit Peel over the pumpkin peel only because it is a little more potent, which my skin needs. However I would buy this peel again to use in between the fruit peel uses, because it is so gentle and refreshing. I think this peel is perfect for those with sensitive skin.
I really like this product. Used in conjunction with other MyChelle products, my skin has transformed. My one and only complaint is how expensive it is for such a small amount. I would purchase this product again and again, but unfortunately I can not always afford to do so.
I really like this cleanser. I have combination and acne prone skin. This removes all my makeup easily and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. I would have loved to have tried the original formula, because I've heard such great things about it. But this formula is nice. It smells like grapefruit, and you only have to use a small amount to get the job done. I'm currently testing out another cleanser but will probably always have this on hand.
Makeup Brushes -100 Percent Pure - CRUELTY FREE EYE SHADOW BRUSH
KelBel77 8/27/2010 11:45:00 AM
I got this brush in a set I purchased. The blush brush included in the set works like a charm, but I do not like this eyeshadow brush. I couldn't get it to pick up any product, which I thought was odd. I used my regular eyeshadow brush, and it picked up the eyeshadow color easily, so it isn't the shadow. I've just started using it as a blending brush since it's soft.
Makeup Brushes -100 Percent Pure - CRUELTY FREE BLUSH BRUSH
KelBel77 8/27/2010 11:42:00 AM
I got this brush with a set, and it works great. I only need a tap on my blush and it picks up a lot of color, which can be easily seen since it's white.
