Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation

I really wanted this foundation to work, but I have to say it's horrible for me. It does nothing to control my oily areas, it actually worsens the oil production. Within three hours the foundation was literally melting off my face and it turned chalky and with a weird grayish tone. Maybe it's because I live in a tropical climate and work indoors and outdoors, so the temperature changes could wreck havoc on the makeup. I also found that the coverage was too sheer for me and I don't have too many problems, just redness and light discoloration. I tried every method of application -brush, sponge, fingers- and with and without primer to see if i would make a difference, but nothing helped. I have since found a better foundation (surprisingly enough, a DS brand, Revlon Colorstay) so this will be another foundation that will be staying at the back of my medicine cabinet...

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I picked up this foundation a couple of weeks ago at a drugstore on a whim, I was at my parents house without my makeup bag and I needed a quick fix. I NEVER thought it would be the best foundation I have ever tried. I have really oily skin in my T-zone and my face basically looked like a frying pan within two or three hours after applying makeup. I think I own every other drugstore brand foundation, department store and high end foundations and none had been able to hold my oilyness at bay like Colorstay. Those who have oliy skin know that no makeup can completely mattify your face all day, but with this I only have to blot and powder like once a day. It stays on for hours and hours and it doesn't transfer on things, like my cell phone, the way other products do. The smell everyone talks about doesn't bother me, it goes away as soons as the liquid dries, which is really fast. I use a primer underneath (MUFE All Mat) and it doesn't sink into my pores like other foundations. Definetely a must try for anyone with oily/ combination skin.
