Primer/ Corrector -Philosophy - The Present Clear Makeup
Kdids520 3/29/2013 5:05:00 AM
I bought this years ago and absolutely loved it. I bought a new one recently and they must have changed the formula because it's gross. My foundation wouldn't sink in at all. I tried with my fingers, a sponge, a brush and beauty blender. I ended up washing my face and starting over without it. I will not repurchase again and will likely just throw this one out. Boo!
Moisturizers -Ole Henriksen - Truth Creme Advanced Hydration

I'm shocked that people don't like the smell of this stuff. It has a light orangey smell to it, but to me, it's nothing overpowering. I actually like it quite a bit. Performance wise, I really like it. It's light, non-greasy and leaves my skin looking really nice. I got this in my QVC quarterly beauty tube, but I'd purchase it on its own.
I'm on my second tube of this. It's the perfect berry/wine without being too red or too vampy. Looks amazing on my NC15, dark hair, blue eyes... I was wearing this when DF proposed lol...
Concealers -Bare Escentuals - Correcting Concealer

This is just meh for me. The color match was nice and consistency was smooth and blendable, but coverage was less than fabulous. I don't like to layer my concealer on as it ends up looking cakey, so this is a pass for me in the future.
Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Illuminating
Kdids520 8/6/2012 11:34:00 PM
This is my go to product for when I want to look pulled together without looking made up. My skin is normally very clear with some redness around my nose and on my chin. I spot conceal and then just use my fingers to apply this. It looks amazing. Will definitely be repurchasing this
Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
Kdids520 7/18/2012 9:35:00 AM
I walked past the Jordana display at walgreens and decided to try a few things because of the great reviews I've always seen here. This $2 mascara didn't disappoint. It gives me full, dark, non-clumpy lashes without that cheap-mascara crunch. It lasts all day, doesn't flake, and is easy to remove with any 'ol makeup removed. I absolutely will buy this again. For the price, it absolutely can't be beat.
Love this. It's in the same family as Nars Orgasm, but is much less orange and far more flattering on my NC15 skin. There is glitter in it, but I can't see it when it's applied to my cheeks. This will make it into heavy rotation in my collection---dare I say HG status.
Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick Eye Color - Khaki
Kdids520 5/24/2012 5:14:00 PM
I love the greenish-brown color of this stick and it's durability. I throw it on my entire lid when I'm running late and it makes for a slightly smokey, dramatic eye with minimal effort. Doesn't budge at all for me and you need a hearty amount of makeup remover to get it off. I'd def repurchase though.
I paid $1.68 for a sample size bottle of this at Target and thought I'd give it a shot. I usually alternate between Almay rounds (in the purple container) or Clinique eye makeup remover. I was pleasantly surprised by this stuff though. It was cooling, didn't irritate my eyes or sting at all, and it did good job removing everything. I'll definitely be repurchasing as you really can't beat the price. To be 100% fair though, I don't wear waterproof anything...
I have the most un-sensitive skin ever. I rarely break out, I can use any soap in the world and have no problem...you get the point. This looks lovely on, but actually makes my face burn. I'm literally shocked. Will be returning.
This is prefect for a no-makeup look on fair skin. I'm about NC-15, MUFE MatteVelvet #20 and this was pretty on me. It's not as highly pigmented as other Nars blushes, but if that's the look you're going for, this is a good choice. I used my fingers to apply and it blended smoothly. It's a really nice alternative to pinks for those who already have some natural flush to their cheeks.
Pressed Powders -Lancome - Translucence Mattifying Silky Pressed Powder
Kdids520 3/27/2012 4:26:00 PM
This was recommended to me by the SA and I'm really happy with my purchase. It's a fine, non-chalky powder that just leaves my skin looking flawless. I use it over foundation, over tinted moisturizer or just over regular moisturizer. Regardless of which way I use it, it's awesome. Definitely a re-purchase for me!
I got this in a swap a few weeks back and I have to admit, I wasn't excited when I saw it in person. I didn't even try it on until last night---I was in a hurry to get out the door to make a movie so that was that was the first one I grabbed. I have to say now, that I totally love it. It's a bronzy pink that didn't look muddy, yellowy or too dark on my NC15 skin. It made me look like I had a great, healthy glow. I'll be reaching for this a lot more now.
I loved the clean, fresh, almost citrusy scent of this but was really disappointed with the longevity. It wore off way sooner than I think it should have. I won't be repurchasing.
Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Duo Eyeshadow Shamrock Chic
Kdids520 3/17/2012 1:10:00 AM
I bought this during TooFace's 85% off sale. It's not a color that I would normally purchase/wear but since it was so cheap, I decided to give it a go. I am so happy that I did. It's not a showy green---but more of a silvery green. It the brown is sort of coppery. I sounds so ugly, but on my NW 15, blue eyes, it's really pretty and wearable. Awesome find.
