Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Colossal Cat Eyes

At first this was wonderful. It was really easy to apply, made my lashes long and curly with no clumps. However, after a couple of weeks I seemed to need to apply more and more of this. Then I realised that this was because I had hardly any eyelashes left! Those I had left were all broken and brittle. This mascara totally wrecked my eyelashes! As soon as I chucked this in the bin and moved to the Revlon Grow Luscious mascara my lashes recovered within a month. My advice would be to avoid the Maybelline mascara if you want to keep your own lashes.

Primer/ Corrector -Illamasqua - Matt Primer
rated 1 of 5

I am very disappointed with this product. . The worst thing about it though is that it makes my makeup oxidize within seconds. I tried this under my MAC Studio Fix Fluid NW20. Normally this is the perfect shade for me but when I apply this makeup over the Illamasqua primer it oxidizes almost immediately and changes from fresh and flawless looking to muddy and orange. It seems to highlight any areas of pigmentation too. It does, however, maintain a matte finish throughout the day and really helps control oil. This would be ok if you don't mind being orange. I might try this one more time under my Illamasqua Skinbase foundation, which is a bit light for me, before chucking it in the bin!

Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free

After seeing all the good reviews about Cliniques Anti Blemish Solutions/Acne Solutions line I was desperate to try it, hoping it might sort out my long term adult acne. But I soon realised that the european version of this line (Anti Blemish as opposed to Acne Solutions) does not contain the same ingredients. I really wanted to try the Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer, which contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide but this is not available in the UK - the UK equivaltent contains Salicylic acid instead. Nevertheless, I'd seen that the Anti Blemish Solutions 3 step (UK version) has some great reviews at Boots.com and Debenhams, so I decided to purchase the foaming cleanser, clarifying lotion, clearing moisturizer, mask and emergency gel. I wasn't disappointed! I could see a difference after one night and after a week of using the 3 step twice a day, my skin has really cleard up and healed. I haven't had a single new blemish appear. I always used Differin at night and Oxy 10 under my moisturiser during the day but since starting the Clinique system I've been able to discontinue the Oxy 10 and I'm planning to cut out the Differin as well. I would thoroughly recommend everything in this line. It's made my skin so much less oily, but not too dry either. None of the peeling that you can get from benzoyl peroxide. I don't need to wear anything like as much make up, which is a bonus!

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Minerals
rated 5 of 5

Although not all the ingredients are natural, this gives the best coverage and loveliest healthy looking finish of all the mineral make ups I’ve tried (including Inika, The Body Shop, Lily Lolo, Revlon). It must be applied correctly though, otherwise it will cake. I find it best to let my moisturiser soak in well first. Then I apply a very light dusting of L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder as a base before applying the Mineral Foundation. I find that this prevents any caking. Then I use a good quality Kabuki to apply the mineral foundation all over my face. I then go over any problem areas/blemishes with a smaller kabuki or the one provided with the product. This stays in place all day without touch ups and it never oxidizes. I don't usually need concealer with this either. Good range of shades. I use C2.

Love the sifter packaging but a poor choice of shades. 03. is too dark for me, 02 is too yellow and 01 is too light and makes me look ill. Also oxidizes after a couple of hours and looks embarrassing.
