Liquid -Cover Girl - TRUblend Liquid Makeup (12/2007 reformulation)

This is a decent product, but its not the finish I am looking for. Its quite natural looking. I had a friend say they other day that she didn't realize i wore foundation! She just thought my skin was perfect lol. Anyway, its got a bit of shimmer in it but it doesnt really show up when dry. It reminds me of MAC's mineralize liquid foundation, with a less "wet" looking finish. The pump is great in the sanitary sense i guess, but air keep s getting trapped in it and my foundation sprays out in spurts rather than in a steady stream.. What I like most about cover girl is that their foundations are pale enough and pink enough for my complexion and NEVER go orange, when so many other foundations do. If you have problems with your foundation going orange, try this stuff. I have it in 410 - Classic Ivory. My Mac diagnosis is NW 15/20 depending on the foundation. I am still looking for that perfect semi matte air brushed finish that doesnt go orange! Until i find it this will suffice I guess.
Shampoo -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Rosemary Shampoo

This stuff was a good " normal" shampoo for me. My hair is straight, fine and hilighted and it made my hair feel clean and moisturized, but not coated. However, this shampoo is supposed to be volumizing and did nothing of the sort. The thing that made me decide not to touch this again was that it made my back break out in systic acne. This has *never* happened before in my life. I've used far more moisturizing hair products and they did nothing to me. There is some ingredient in this that simply makes the skin on my back react. It felt awful and looked even worse.
I've been trying a sample of this from SDM. I have been having issues with my skin flaking now that the weather has changed. The fist thing I dislike about this is that it has no level of spf, which is absolutely necessary these days. This moisturizer is nice and rich, but it absorbs very slowly. I wash my face at about 8pm and apply it. I can still feel it sitting on my skin when I go to bed at 10 30 pm. However, when i wake up in the morning my skin is as dry as it was before. It feels like I have not applied moisturizer at all. Worst of all, this moisturizer is marketed to be very gentle. When I apply it it makes my skin burn. Not badly, but enough to turn me off. My previous moisturizer, Avene hydrance optimal riche, seems to be much better. No burning at all. Its not HG though. Essentially, this is garbage. Save your money. Btw, i rated the price of this as dirt cheap because it was a sample.
Price: $29 dollars CDN at Shopper's Drug Mart. I went to the drug store looking for a powder compact. I had already bought a liquid foundation but I had red the reviews of this and thought I would try it. I fell in love with it. Now I regret buying that foundation! I mean, this is a high quality product and 29 dollars for powder and foundation is a bargain... 16 dollars for mediocre liquid foundation from l'oreal seems like a rip off. My Shade: Sesame. Its the palest shade I believe. There is a spectrum on their web site. It is slightly yellow for my taste, but when it blends in it is unnoticable. What it does: This is a lovely pressed powder compact that can be applied dry as a powder, or you can wet the sponge it comes with and apply it as a foundation, with heavier coverage. When applied as a foundation it dries to a smooth and silky semi-matte finish. My skin feels so soft all day. I haven't noticed much transfer since I've been using it and it does not seem to cling to dry skin, which is nice. I cannot say much about how it settles into creases. I am 21 and it hasn't settled into what creases I have. In addition, it has not broken me out and I really don't even notice it on my face, just the softness of the powder finish. I t covers well. I have red marks on my skin left by acne. I use this with a concealer and it looks just fine. All in all, I like this product a lot. It could possibly be my HG. It is pricey, but when you get two excellent products in one its really quite a bargain. I said no on buying this again because its LE. Like all MAC Lipglasses/Lustreglasses this has great guality, texture and staying power. This looks white in the tube. It goes on clear with a bit of glittler and shimmer. I find it enhances the natural lip colour of whoever is wearing it. Nice natural/casual lip gloss.
I am on the fence about this. Its OK, but all in all it looks a bit orange on me... I even had help from a MAC artist in choosing it.... 16.50 is way too much money to spend on a single eye shadow you are not crazy about.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

I was given samples of the clinique mild cleansing gel, clarifying lotion # 2, and the dramatically different moisturizer. I've been using all three for over a week and my skin has remained clear until now... I have a few *tiny* pimples that are barely noticable. At least they are right now, we will see how fast they go away with my salysilic gel. Anyhow, I was tolerating the DD lotion for a while but I've had enough. It does not absorb well into my skin. They say I have dry combination skin because it flakes around the nose... We'' the clarifying lotion and the DD lotion have done nothing for it and my cheeks are shinier than before and oily as hell. Its even worse in the morning. There is still a layer of the moisturizer sitting on my skin! Anyway, the three step program isn't bad in that I haven't broken out in a week. I normally have at least one pimple. But, It has left my skin shinier than before and hasnt improved the quality (i.e. unevenness in tone, flakes, glow).
Nice base colour... though not that noticeable... I will be getting bare canvas next. Over priced
This is on the expensive side ($22.50 cdn) but you get what you pay for. It doesn't really plump my lips but they look smoother. What I love most is the colour. Its perfect for my lips. Its not too shiny, and the right amount of pink/rose and brown. Its not too sheer either. Great classy day to day colour... Actually I'd wear it anytime, day or night.
I bought it and then realized about a month later (how embarrassing) that it was orange on me. I have now been tanning quite a bit and it actually matches me. Its an NW 20.. I was in the mac shop and tried other shade son the paler areas of my skin and nothing would match. Anyway , when I get paler i iwll have to find something else.
This lipstick is ok... I have had it recommended to me twice now by MAC artists.... Its not really what I am looking for. It looks too brown on my and all together too dark. I also dont like a lot of shimmer in my lipsticks. If I want shimmer or shine ( mostly a bit of dewy shine) I will use a gloss.
Other -Tom's of Maine - Gingermint & Cinnamon Toothpaste

For those of you who think you're so clever by saving everyone from the toxins of fluoride, think again. Our water has been fluoridated for decades. It is an approved practice by health and dental professionals so that everyone can have a fighting chance at tooth decay, which is seen as a disease, no matter how much money you have. If you think the fluoride in your toothpaste is harmful, what did you tell your child's dentist when they proceeded to give them the highly concentrated fluoride treatment at each tooth cleaning visit? Children have this treatment until they are 12. If it is so harmful children, who are quite vulnerable, would die from the fluoride in the water, their toothpaste, and in the dentist.
This stuff is fantastic! A definitely HG. I have the lightest versiona nd it matches and blends perfectly. Of all of concealers I have used this is by far the best, hands down.
I love this stuff. The moisturizing component is great. It is very sheer but I use concealer with it anyway to make my skin look flawless. It looks very natural and dewy. The colour is great too. Not too orangey or pink. I was originally looking to buy Vichy's TM because of the reviews on MUA, but the botttle was TINY and they were asking $27 plus tax - In a drug store! Definitely not worth it.
All in all not bad. The colours are lovely. This is my first bunch of MAC eyeshadows and I was pleasantly surprised. I heard that their quality of shadow wasnt that great, but these are the most pigmented eyeshadows I own. The others I have are from the D/S, but on the boards they say that the quality is sometimes not even as good as drugstore brands. Anyway, I am happy with this. The colours look very nice together.
