This is just a gimmic that doesn't at all work for me. The brush is huge and twisty and just makes a huge mess. Good thing I only had a sample and hadn't paid for a full tube. I tossed it out after trying it twice and getting it all over my eyelids. I do much better just going with drugstore mascara.
Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios Xl SPF 50+ Fluide Extreme (for face)

I find this to be almost greasy and not worth the extra money. I'll use it up but won't buy it again.
Love this color for my toes. It is really almost a crayon red so I am not sure where the 'tang' (as in, I assume, tangerine) comes from. I would certainly not call it an orange shade. Anyway, I like it regardless and it wears really well with top coat.
Blush -Unlisted Brand - Buxom True Hue Blush Swept Away

This is such a pretty blush. I am pale and find that many blushes are just too pigmented. This one is just right - not too pink, not too peach and gives me a natural looking flush with no sparkles. I am loving it this summer with a bit of bronzer and this on top of my cheekbones.
Really good pink. I love it.
Well, this is a pretty good neutral color except that every time I look at my nails I think that they are the exact same color as Silly Putty - a color reference for those of you who have kids or have played with the stuff yourselves. Do they even still sell the stuff? I am not in love with it nor do I hate it but I wouldn't buy it again if I ran out (which I probably won't because of the Silly Putty thing - I just don't wear it much). But, as far as the formula goes, I like it and have purchased other Essie colors. I think there are probably better nude colors out there and I will keep looking.
This is just not my cup of tea. It is just too grey and has no warmth in it as the name might suggest - certainly not a sandy beige.
Great red-orange color and looks especially good on my toes.
Tinted Moisturizer -E.L.F. - Studio Tinted Moisturizer

I think that for a tinted moisturizer this is a very good deal. I have used higher end brands like Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier TM and I think that really there is little difference between them and this product. I have pale skin with yellow undertones and Porcelain is a very good match for me. I like the package and it is good for putting into your bag or for travel. It is dirt cheap and has sunscreen. I like that it has a bit of coverage as well. I will continue to buy and save my HE purchases for things that are more fun to buy like eye makeup or nail polish.
I have never been able to wear a pale/nude lip until I got this lipstick. Usually when I try to do that I look half dead but this has enough pink in it to let me do it. I wear this over lip balm so it doesn't look too matte - a look that just doesn't flatter me. It doesn't really last a long time on me though but is easy to reapply without a mirror. I really like this. It is perfect for running about town while not looking too made up. Definite re-purchase.
This is just not worth the $65 price tag. The size of the palette is tiny and the colors are uninspiring. I returned this even though I am a devoted BB fan. Save your money.
Mascara -Shiseido - Perfect Mascara Defining Volume

Yes, this is hard to get off. It is tenacious stuff, BUT, this is HG mascara. I have lived on sample mascara tubes from GWP and freebies - haven't we all - and have tried all of the national drugstore brands as well as most of the HE ones through samples. This however is very special. I got a tube of this as a sample and let me tell you I will, from now on, be buying it in full sized tubes. It lengthens and thickens and keeps the curl perfectly (I use their curler too, BTW). I never thought my lashes could look like this. Mascara is the one cosmetic I don't leave the house without. I never thought it was worth it to buy HE but now I do. It is expensive but totally worth every penny. They have a lifelong buyer in me.
Styling Products -Schwarzkopf - Osis+ Dust it mattifying powder

I, too, as other reviewers have stated, have baby-fine, very soft, thin, shoulder-length, extremely straight hair that never has any ability to hold volume for longer than it takes me to walk from the salon to my car. Mary, my beloved stylist, tried this on my roots last time I had my hair done. It is magic. What I really love about this product is that it allows me to go a day or two without washing and my hair still has volume, stays un-greasy, and finally has some texture. Mary showed me how to sprinkle some on the roots and rub it in a little then finger comb into place. I have to admit that it makes my hair feel a bit like that foam that florists use to push stems into, but that is a very small price to pay for hair that looks so much thicker than it actually is and holds some shape without teasing. It does make my scalp itch just a little at first but again, totally worth the little bit of irritation. Very happy with this and will buy it again and again. Very innovative product.
Lipstick -Maybelline - color sensational summer sunset

I like this one. It is reddish but not red in the classic sense. It is toned down enough so those of us who wish they could carry off red can wear it for a bit of brighter color. I got it super cheap at Walmart and have tried two other colors - Warm Me Up and Tinted Taupe. I like them all and have them in duplicates. I have pretty much stopped buying HE lipstick - there seem to be plenty of cheap alternatives out there.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational in Tinted Taupe

I really like this. I bought it on a whim and now it is my favorite. I like it because isn't too much of anything - not too dark, light, brown, pink, glittery, matte, expensive, etc. Just a good everyday shade to add a bit of color to your face. I will buy a few more to back up the one I have. I am not that picky about the texture of lipstick so I can't comment on that. Don't mind the smell either....
