Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover
Kat0r 11/4/2012 2:38:00 PM
Truly adore this makeup remover, and don't think I would want another brand again! It removes eye makeup easily without pulling out my eyelashes, as well as being gentle on the eyes. It also gets rid of the makeup in minutes compared to spending 5+ minutes trying to get it off. Don't let the oily-like mixture put you off, as when you use it your eyes it will not feel oily, but instead feel clean and free of makeup. Price is reasonable for a makeup remover and mess is non-existant when using. Highly recommended product!

Treatments -LUSH - Grease Lightning Spot Cleanser
Kat0r 11/4/2012 1:59:00 PM
My first spot treatment gel, and so glad I gave it a go! I have always suffered from spots on my jawline and forehead (even though good facial cleaning regime, exercise ect) and when I saw this I thought it would not help me. Was eventually persuaded to buy within LUSH and used it at night time before heading off to bed and the next morning. Over the course of a few weeks, my spots were significantly smaller and most had dried out. My face was also a lot smoother and spots were greatly reduced. I do feel this product is not so fab on more tougher spots, but that shouldn't stop you from trying this product out. Highly recommended!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Kat0r 11/4/2012 1:44:00 PM
Possibly the best facial moisturiser I have ever used. A pea sized amount goes a long way (in fact, I used the same bottle for about 6 months), and glides easily on my skin. It doesn't take long before it has sunk into my skin, and leaves my face soft and supple after using the facial soap and toner (from the Clinique 3-Step System). I also use this on my neck after cleansing and toning, so that part of the body also feels the benefits. Only annoyance is the price tag of the pump version, but for me it is worth every penny and has never let me down. I highly recommend this to any woman suffering from combination oily/ oily skin.

Toners -Clinique - Clarifying Lotion #3
Kat0r 11/4/2012 1:33:00 PM
I use this alongside the cleanser for oily skin in bar form and the moisterising gel. As a product, I would say it doe's what it says on the tin: getting rid all of the dead skin cells/dirt which the cleanser failed to pick up. When using the product on my skin, I do feel that it 'wipes' my skin clean, because when I finish using it, my skin feels quite tight (not in a bad way) and when seeing the cotton wool ball I can visibly see the dirt which was left on my face. I do feel as though it has reduced the amount of spots I have, but I will say it is a harsh product to use, due to the ingredients used, and say use with care if you have sensitive skin. I recommend it for normal/oily skin, but for sensitive skins you may be best looking into another product.

Cleansers -Clinique - Facial Soap for Oily Skin
Kat0r 11/4/2012 1:14:00 PM
I have been on the Clinique 3-step for almost a year now, and used to use their liquid version of this soap before transferring over to the bar form. One of my favourite points about this bar is that it lasts. With the liquid version I had to get a new one approx every 2 months, the bar however lasts more then that making it much more economical and cheaper for your wallet. When I use it I really do feel my face is much cleaner (my face is literally 'squeaky-clean'!) and does remove the excess oil, without making me breakout even more. The dish is an extra bonus, as it drains the water from the soap, preventing it from becoming waterlogged and keeps the soap in one place. However, this soap is not without it's faults, and that's mostly to do with the dish it came in. This could be just me but basically it would not close properly after using it a few times, and even though I washed it it will still not close properly, making it liable to fall out of the dish. It is also pretty foamy, so it can go up my nose and mouth which is a tad bit irritating, but after continually washing my face, it decreases lather, making it more pleasurable in washing. Lastly, If travelling around a lot, it can be a bit of a pain to take around, unlike the liquid soap where you can put it in travel size bottles to save money. I have only used this for about a month and is still early days, but so far I am enjoying using it and would possibly recommend.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes
Kat0r 1/13/2012 2:52:00 PM
I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now, and I have definably seen a change to the dark circles around my eyes. They have appeared much lighter and is an ideal base for making my eyeshadow stay on for longer. The cream itself is quite thick so you really do not need to use a lot as it spreads pretty well and gets to the areas you want. It is a little greasy however but this isn't really a problem as it absorbs into the skin easily. I am using the trail size version currently so I will see the full results after I have used them up, but if I were to buy the product I am leaning towards a yes.

Brows -BeneFit Cosmetics - NEW BrowZings
Kat0r 1/13/2012 2:33:00 PM
I am pretty pleased with this product. The wax fills out your eyebrow really well and the powder helps set the wax in, giving the eyebrow more filling/shape. I then use a old mascara brush to brush it out, getting the perfect eyebrow for me. It stays on for hours and so I don't need to worry about them during the day, no matter how busy I am. However, It did take me some time to get it right (I had a session on my eyebrows) as sometimes I put too much wax on or brushed it to far. Eventually I got it right, and now I can't live without it! The only thing I don't like about this product is that the inside gets covered in wax and powder easily, making it messy. Overall worth buying and recommended for some great eyebrows!

Fragrances -Yves Saint Laurent - Parisienne
Kat0r 1/13/2012 2:18:00 PM
One of my personal favourites, this perfume is just right. It's not overbearing yet it's not so suttle that you can hardly smell it. The smell itself is just the right balance and has a really pretty bottle to go with it. I have not smelled another perfume like it. It is expensive but is worth the price, Recommended!

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
Kat0r 1/13/2012 1:51:00 PM
I was recommended this by my own mother, who has been using their cosmetics for many years. My mum is rarely wrong when it come's to cosmetics so when we saw this on sale in our local department store I had to buy it. It is easy to apply on your skin and although you may be worried about the colour (I have olive skin and was using their 'universal' colour) it blends really well into your skin and skin tone. It also made my eyes more appealing at hiding my dark circles. As I got this on sale the price was pretty reasonable but as it will go back to RRP I may buy this again if I have the money. Recommended for sure!

Shampoo -Redken - Extreme Shampoo (new formula)
Kat0r 1/13/2012 1:13:00 PM
I;ve been using this shampoo for about 2 years now, and it's never let me down. I was originally recommended this by my hairdresser as I had damaged hair. This shampoo smells lovely and when combined with the conditioner really doe's it's job to repair and to prevent breakage as well making your hair feel soft and clean. I recommend this shampoo, and will forever keep buying it!

Scrubs -LUSH - Buffy the Backside Slayer
Kat0r 1/12/2012 11:00:00 AM
In all honesty, I would say buffy is one of my favourite scrubs. First of all, it come's as a solid bar meaning that it is easy to apply onto your wet skin during showering/bathing. I would say it is quite abrasive when applying but then just generally rubbing over with a hand soon afterwards it is not so bad. Also, it moisterises which makes the skin lovely and soft, specially when skin is rinsed. It is also useful if you are travelling a lot as it can just go in a small sandwich bag or other small container. It doe's the job in exfoliating while leaving really smooth skin.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
Kat0r 1/12/2012 10:39:00 AM
Onto my second pot, and I must say even though it is pretty expensive (£15 a pot) It's pretty damn good as a moisturiser! The small is heavenly (Reminds me of honey yogurt, makes me wanna eat it!) and when applied onto wet skin is pretty thick. You only need a small amount for each body part because it is so rich and how it easily it spreads on your skin. It's easy to rinse off and at first, you may feel a little sticky after patting yourself dry but don't worry, that feeling soon disappears and you are left with beautiful smooth skin. It's usually lasts a good month and a bit and if you using a moisterising scrub (such as buffy from LUSH) you would not need to use it along with buffy making it last even longer. (One day with buffy, one with Ro's Argan). The only off-putting is the price. Overall a very good product which definably delivers.

Masks -LUSH - Catastrophe Cosmetic
Kat0r 1/12/2012 10:04:00 AM
I first came to contact with this when I brought my 5 pots into the shop and was given a free face mask. Having combination/oily skin I was recommended to try this to help combat the problems I currently have (mainly spotty skin). When opened I was greeted with a very nice fresh scent (sweet smell, kinda earthy) and although doesn't look like much when you open the pot it really doe's do the job when applied. Application is not troublesome at all, it literally glides onto my face while covering the areas that need treating and dries quickly. I always leave mine for 10 minutes so it really doe's what it says on the pot. When removing rinsing is simple and comes off like a charm. I felt my face is definably a lot cleaner and softer and has made change to my face overall. Less spots come up now and I know that if I keep using my other facial cleansing products along with this face mask I think it would banish spots altogether (making sure the face is washed every morning and night however). Depending how much you want to use on your face it has a fair amount of uses. However, the only problem I found is that it MUST always be chilled. Don't think using it, leaving it outside for a bit and then putting it back in the fridge make's it alright, it changes the mask to make it more like you are applying thick clay and isn't as nice. As soon as you are finished with it, put it in the fridge. The short shelf life is also a annoyance, but if you use it regularly then it shouldn't be a problem. A great little face mask, Highly recommended.

Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - Silky-Finish Lipstick
Kat0r 1/12/2012 9:42:00 AM
I've never been a huge fan of lipsticks or lipglosses, but I thought I would give this lippy a go considering family and friends use benefit products. It glides onto your lips really well and is definably silky to the touch. What I like about this is that it's not terribly sticky when applied and the colour that I had (Jing-a-Ling) was not in your face like other lipsticks. However, I really hoped it had strong staying power but this product was terrible staying on my lips. Give it 15-20 minutes and it starts to come off at a fast rate. You'd have to keep applying for the colour to stay. Overall good for people who like to keep applying lipstick and the colours are nice, but not ideal for the girls who like staying power.

Liquid -Clinique - Even Better Makeup SPF 15
Kat0r 1/12/2012 8:51:00 AM
I have used this since october last year, and really like this product. You only need a tiny amount to cover one part of the face (I say approx 1 pea size amount for one cheek) and when used with a foundation brush, covers the area and spreads really well. I suffer from spots quite often and due to me keep popping them caused scarring on my face (I have uneven skin tone basically). This product hides these scars pretty well and blends very well with my natural skin tone. I wouldnt use too much of it as using small amounts doe's the job better then piling the same product over and over giving a fake look. Also, because of the small amount you use each time, it lasts for months. I am still using the same bottle I started off with back in october and I feel it has at least one more month left! The only criticism I have is that it doesn't really hide the really dark areas of my uneven skin tone, but then yet again its not meant to give a completely even skin tone, it just helps to make the face more even with your natural skin, nothing more. Really do recommend this product, it may be expensive but it is worth every penny.
