Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Lip Junkie

I definitely thought I wouldn't really care for this gloss but I was SO wrong! I have this in Peroxide which is a baby pink-y color. It doesn't really have any color payoff but it's very slick and feels sooo nice on the lips. Lasts a decently long time and it has a tingly menthol feeling to it! It smells nice too. The packaging is so adorable, and the tip of the squeeze tube is SMALL so you don't accidentally squeeze out a butt load of the product onto your lips. Packaging is most definitely an A+. The product itself is an A+! Love!

Lipstick -Too Faced - La Creme Lipstick - Naked Dolly
rated 4 of 5
KandyKisses 3/30/2013 9:41:00 PM

Pretty nice lipstick! It's a calm nude-y color, though not much color payout on my lips since they are naturally a dark pink-y mauve-y color. Looks a tad strange on me sometimes, but usually I can pull it off. It feels more like a gloss than a lipstick - it's very slick and glossy rather than drying. Because of this, it hardly has a lot of staying power but lasts at least an hour for me. Some days it will settle into cracks while other days it will lay on top of my lips. It does look HORRIBLE when it settles into the cracks, so exfoliation is a must before you apply this stuff! It doesn't really feel "creme"-y, but it is very smooth. It's pricey, but I would probably buy it again! The tube is very nice and sleek, as well!

Lip Gloss -Tarte - Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Gloss in Tipsy
rated 3 of 5
KandyKisses 3/30/2013 9:37:00 PM

I don't have this in Tipsy, but I have it in Dollface. It's a nice pinky color. It doesn't give off any color, but it does make lips sort of shiny. Perfect for those who don't want a slippery lip gloss! It's slightly sticky but the perfect amount as to where your lips won't need to be re-applied often. Tastes like nothing so you won't lick your lips. The packaging of the push-pen-like stick had me a little confused, but I figured it out. Overall, a nice gloss but pretty pricey when it can compare to some much cheaper glosses out there.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Model in a Bottle
rated 2 of 5
KandyKisses 3/30/2013 1:40:00 PM

I wanted to love Model in a Bottle so much. SO MUCH. I ordered it from Amazon, and the screw-top was busted so I only received about half of a bottle. The package was so sticky and smelled to the high heavens of this product, ick! It reminded me of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea perfume. Anyway, I ended up pouring the remaining half of the bottle into a dollar-store travel spray bottle. I never used the glass bottle and its nozzle since the bottle was so sticky. I've heard that Model in a Bottle is similar to unscented aerosol hairspray... which I supposed makes up for its kind of tacky texture. It didn't smell as bad when I let it sit for a few days and finally decided to use it. I used it yesterday when I decided to put this product to the test on a mini shopping trip. I left at 12:30pm and came home five hours later. My face looked pretty flawless after the first hour. However, no sooner after the first hour did my face start getting the shinies, even though Model in the Bottle claims to be a mattifier! I was so mad, since everyone claims this product to be an all-day miracle and I left my blotting sheets and powders behind after putting my trust into this stuff. So, for the remainder of my trip, I looked horrible. I tried blending the make-up in, but the product is sticky and holds the make-up in place to the point where my streaky foundation did NOT budge. It looked like my make-up was almost bleeding. I wasn't sweating nor did I get wet. So, needless to say, I am super disappointed after spending a good $15 on this stuff.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Taylor Swift Wonderstruck
rated 5 of 5
KandyKisses 3/24/2013 5:53:00 PM

To be fair, I have this in the lotion but I think it deserves some hype! The lotion was definitely pricey, but oh so worth it. OMG, this stuff smells amazing. The smell lasts ALL DAY LONG. I have never come across a lotion with this much staying power. The Taylor Swift perfume actually smells very nice. It's like a hint of maturity and clean, but smells a little sweet and playful. I often wear this on job interviews or when I'm trying to impress. I always get compliments! Amazing!

Foundations -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals Ready Foundation
rated 2 of 5
KandyKisses 3/24/2013 5:50:00 PM

I am writing this review about the powder compact. Personally, I've never been a fan of BM or BE since mineral make-up tends to break me out - especially BM. I've only used the loose powders, so I thought maybe the compact would be much more friendly. WRONG! Oh man, this stuff sucks. I don't really know what's good about it. The compact is nice I guess. The product itself, though... It leaves a lot to be desired. It feels kind of cheap on my face. It gets so cakey and chalky. The color looks nice in the compact, but blends to an awkward color on my face that looks unhealthy. This is the hardest make-up I have ever had to wash off of my face! The staying power seems very meh, yet when I'm ready to wash it off of my face, it does not want to budge. It smears and smudges and streaks all over the place. It requires some tough scrubbing to remove. Overall, this powder foundation may be for some people but... it was not what I expected at its price. Thumbs down!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Oatmeal
rated 5 of 5
KandyKisses 3/24/2013 5:44:00 PM

Just started using this and OMG... sorta fell in love! I am on a super tight budget and often have oatmeal on hand to make breakfast foods. I had a lot of extra oats hanging around and saw this mask... it's amazing! I've only used it twice but it makes my skin feel really smooth. I don't know what it's actually doing to my skin, but it feels nice. I take a handful of the oats in one hand after wetting my face and I run it under hot water until it gets sort of "milky" and "oatmeal-y". Then, I "sponge" the blob all over my face. It's hard to get the oats to stick, but the residue from the wet oatmeal sticks pretty well. I throw the wet blob out and wash my hands, then wait and do some stuff for about twenty minutes to a half an hour. The mask isn't annoying and smells like oatmeal, which is kind of nice! When it is fully dry, I wash it off with hot water and pat my face dry. Smooth smooth smooth! I will continue using this!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Milk of Magnesia
rated 3 of 5
KandyKisses 3/24/2013 5:40:00 PM

This product is... OK. I dunno, it didn't really work miracles for me like everyone else. Before I used this (for the first time), I washed my face with oatmeal. Oatmeal makes my face feel smooth and with the MoM over it, my skin feels really smooth! But, it hardly controls my oil. I've had it on for a half an hour and my nose is already oily and I can see my forehead beginning to slowly become shiny. Maybe this is better for people with hardly oily skin, but I have to blot constantly and thought that the MoM would help. Guess not - but I only paid $1.85 for it so there's not much room to complain. I'll probably use it again here and there for soaking oil up on my cheeks and chin, but it doesn't have any awesome abilities. Also, the white streaking is pretty annoying. I haven't worn it under make-up yet, but after applying it (very lightly, I barely used anything) I had major blobs all over my face. I thought it was going to severely dry my skin, but I still feel smooth. Overall, I'd probably buy again if I needed minimal oil control but I'll still be searching unfortunately!

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Dessert Treats Deliciously Kissable Plumping Lip Candy in Lollipop
rated 5 of 5
KandyKisses 1/11/2013 6:30:00 PM

I have always wanted to try the Dessert Beauty brand since it was in the drug stores years ago! I thought it was an adorable idea and almost all of the products were edible in some form. Well, I recently snagged a small lot on eBay with some sample-sized items. I got four of these glosses in the small sizes: banana split, cotton candy, bubble gum, and lollipop. I didn't care for the others but lollipop tastes and smells amazing! Not exactly like a lollipop but fruity. It gives a nice hint of color and does NOT feel gritty despite the glitters. It goes on really smooth and makes my lips feel so soft. It lasts quite a while for me even though I lick at it a lot since it has a nice taste! They don't plump my lips but they do have a nice tingly sensation that is not at all overwhelming. If I could find these again somewhere, I would definitely pick up more.

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Spiced Vanilla Chai Latte
rated 5 of 5
KandyKisses 10/27/2012 3:08:00 PM

I love this gloss! I bought this last year around the holidays along with the three others: gingerbread, apple cider, and peppermint mocha - it's from the Merry Mentha line. This definitely my favorite! It's very "cakey" smelling with a strong vanilla scent. I have never tried chai before, so I can't vouch on how realistic it smells, but it smells like a spicy but sweet vanilla yumminess. It tastes great, too and I love the menthol and shea butter! It gives lips a cool sensation while making your lips irresistible. The amount of shine and sparkles is perfect for a neutral look and it lasts for hours! I put this on before bed and wake up with it still on, and I put it on before I start my day and it lasts for at least half of the day, with only one or two more applications. Love it, this was one of my first C.O. Bigelow products and I think I'm hooked now!

Lip Treatments -eos - Limited Edition Alice in Wonderland 3-Pack Lip Balm Collection
rated 3 of 5
KandyKisses 9/29/2012 9:12:00 PM

I was so excited when I heard these were on the shelves at Target, so I ran to my local store to check them out. I must have been wandering around for two hours until I found ONE package of this shoved at the bottom of a random shelf far away from the make-up/lotions! Talk about lucky. I paid $7.99 for the three-pack, which is a deal since they're usually $3 each. Unfortunately, they don't rock as much as the single-flavor eos sphere balms. The watermelon is subtle and sweet, but I also bought The Body Shop's Born Lippy Watermelon in the same day and the eos fails compared to the other product. Anyway, the vanilla may be the best of the trio. It's a faint and sweet smell. The blueberry is very nice as well, just too faint. The watermelon seemed to have the best texture - it was smoother than the others. I like all of them and I am definitely glad I bought them - definitely will be using them - but they're weak compared to the other eos balms!

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick in Circe #522
rated 4 of 5
KandyKisses 9/29/2012 6:40:00 PM

I've been using bubble-gum pink lipsticks for a few years now and decided to finally try a nude/natural shade. NYX's Gala really discouraged me from buying any more of their round lippies, but this was on sale for less than $3 so I gave it a go. I opened it right as I left Ulta and applied it - wow! The formula doesn't have shimmers like Gala, and it applied much, much more smoothly. Didn't crack or settle like Gala either. It's a really nice natural color - if it was a little more pinkish I'd be super happy!

Lipstick -NYX - Gala
rated 2 of 5
KandyKisses 9/23/2012 8:52:00 AM

I love everything NYX - it's usually quality make-up at lower or average prices. However, this lipstick made me want to chuck it out the window. The color is gorgeous - a little lighter and brighter than the picture shows but it's a beautiful milky light pink with a minimal amount of shimmers. So it looks beautiful in the tube, but when applied, UCK! Even after exfoliating my lips and applying a lipbalm, this lipstick still came out looking awful. It was washed out my lips too much and settled into every single line in my lips - despite them having just been exfoliated. I've tried wearing this plenty of times, and once without exfoliating. That was a nightmare. If the formula was more creamy and opaque, this might be a winner for it's color though the glitters need to be toned down - they make the lips feel totally gritty and unsexy. I'm a little weary of NYX normal lippies now, but maybe I'll try the matte colors. The matte lipcream is amazing! EDIT: After making a few trips to Ulta after my experience with this crappy lipstick, I think I may have gotten one from a bad batch. I checked out another Gala lipstick that appeared much more creamy and dark with less glitters.

Cleansers -Clearasil - Ultra Acne + Marks Wash and Mask
rated 3 of 5
KandyKisses 7/20/2012 12:18:00 PM

I just bought this mask/cleanser and just finished using it. My skin feels okay now. It's softer. However, it didn't do anything to my acne marks or acne in general yet, unlike Queen Helene's mask that makes them feel invisible! It does smell good though - like fresh and fruity. I don't think it's fair to complain about the burning of this product if you don't use it properly! The bottle specifically states that you should leave the product on for one minute, and then wash off if you're using as a mask. I left it on longer and it stung a little but I expected that. I'll keep using it to see what it does, but as of now it doesn't do much!

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler
rated 5 of 5
KandyKisses 7/19/2012 5:48:00 PM

This was my very first eyelash curler and I love it. It came in a cute box, it was a dollar, and it works. The handles are like scissors in a way, very easy to grip. I had a little trouble at first getting my lashes fixed in between but I figured it out. Comfortable and easy!
