Great professional nail dryer. I recently got onto the gel nails bandwagon and was looking for a good UV lamp. I use the Shellac line and this worked well. It takes a little longer for darker opaque colors but with base/top coats and sheers don't take as long. It takes about 10 seconds for the base and 2 minutes with an opaque color. Also in between each curing process, I would wipe off the excess gel with some rubbing alcohol. This is a very important step or it will feel like your nails didn't cure all the way. I've had this for about a month and so far it hasn't broken on me. This nail lamp comes with a nicely packaged box and nail file. Not too thrilled of the brand name however, but the pink is super cute. I hear people are also worried about the side effects UV lamps give and I think it's just people blowing this worry out of proportion. If you do your research, experts say using these lamps is as "deadly" as going outside and exposing yourself to the sun.
This is my go-to body cream for those days I really want something thick to lock in moisture. I usually use this in conjunction with my coconut oil after showers for my legs and arms and it works great at leaving my skin soft. Well it better because it's so thick! I also love that there is no fragrance which is the main reason why I picked it up. Price is cheap too and you get a lot.

I love multi purpose items and this is a great one. On top of it being muli purpose, it's gives off amazing benefits to the body when taken orally too. It moisturizes everything for me from head to toe. Even using this on my face doesn't break me out however I have a different cream for my face so I only use this when there's nothing else. What's even better is that you can eat this too which gives off amazing benefits. I take this by the spoonful and have noticed my skin and energy improving. It's great on toast instead of butter and with stir fried veggies. Only downside to this is that it changes its consistency depending on the temperature. It's sold under 70 degrees so it gets a bit tough to use when it becomes a solid. Here's what one article said about coconut oil "Studies have shown that intake of coconut oil can help our bodies mount resistance to both viruses and bacteria that can cause illness. Even more, it also can help to fight off yeast, fungus, and candida. Coconut oil can also positively affect our hormones for thyroid and blood sugar control. People who take coconut oil also tend to have improvements in how they handle blood sugar, for coconut can help improve insulin use within the body. Coconut oil can boost thyroid function helping to increase metabolism, energy and endurance. It increases digestion and helps to absorb fat-soluble vitamins." Meaning it's an antibiotic and antiviral and since it balances blood sugar control, it may help you to lose weight. Miranda Kerr is also known to take this as one of her daily supplements. Google for more info if you're not convinced. You can get a large tub of this at Costco or smaller versions at Walmart or Target or any health section or health food store.
Why is this marked as limited edition? I really hope they decide to place this in their permanent line otherwise, I'll need to stock up because I think it's that good! I've been looking far and wide for a decently priced foundation (ok not cheap but I can personally justify it) that matches my skin tone, that gives decent coverage, not heavy, not sparkly (why people like sparkle in their foundation is beyond me), not greasy, and makes my skin look like skin and not a chalky cakey sparkly mess. I believe this is it. Not only does it cover all my specifications, but the packaging is nice and hygienic as well. I just use a pump and a half onto the back of my hand and use my foundation brush and my skin looks wonderful. It has a sheer to medium coverage. I think this is a really good foundation and anyone who hasn't found their perfect foundation should try this. I even got compliments from my boyfriend's aunts who have never complimented my skin before.

I got this for free as a birthday gift from Sephora. Nice little balm that makes you feel luxurious every time you put it on. Smooth creamy texture and scent is yummy and the look and feel of the packaging is wonderful with its screw on cap. But I believe this is one of those items that looks great, but not practical. I notice how fragile it is because of how the cream sits in the tube. There is no reinforcement to hold the cream in place. There's a gap around the cream while in the tube so whenever you press this against your lips, it will slightly bend in high temperatures. And on a hot day? Oh say hello to a broken balm. hmmm no. I don't want to deal with that mess. I'm sticking to my Shiseido Water in Lip balm. Texture is about the same and for half the price.

I've been using this cream for about a year. This is the only cream that has kept my skin feeling soft. I have extremely combination skin. Skin that is super oily yet super dry (makes no sense right? but sadly it's true) and with this cream, it has helped a lot with the dry flakiness. My skin actually feels smoother while using this product and no other lotions were able to accomplish that for me. This also has never broke me out. Some people say they had some purging, but that did not happen to me, and I'm also very acne prone (yeah, you don't want my skin). Actually, the opposite happened. I haven't had clusters of acne since using this. I use this at night usually and sometimes I follow up with a moisturizer. It has kind of a nasty sour scent to it but it goes away after a while. In the morning, I'm left with softer skin. Love this product and I will continue to purchase.
Scents are very individualistic so I won't say too much about the scent, however I do love it. On me it's light, floraly and has a crispness to it. I think any lady who's 25+ can really enjoy this scent if their body chemistry allows it. I also got the roller ball version since I'm just beginning to get interested into fragrances and I don't want to invest in a bottle just yet. I'm not sure if the formula is different between the roller ball and the bottle but the roller ball has no lasting power. By mid day, I can no longer smell it on me and on my wrist it's practically gone. It does disappoint me a bit since this is a "perfume" and not a "toilette", but I still give it 4 stars since I love the scent so much.

I bought this model in addition to "3 Tone Brown" and "Fresh Brown". 3 Tone Brown and Fresh Brown look the most natural, however they are are all super uncomfortable! If you wear real prescription contacts such as Acuvue, the comfort level of these do not compare. As for looks, Angel Brown is not natural at all. It also kind of makes my eyes look weird. They do look great in photos though. But if you're looking for something natural, this isn't it.
Love that it's all natural and all, but this gave my boyfriend and I horrible dandruff. The texture of the shampoo is way too watery; barley any moisture at all. And my hair is super dry after.
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Eye booster eyeliner + serum

I finally found my HG eyeliner! I am in looooove with this liner and will seriously never go back to gels, powder, felt tip liquid, or pencils again! I have the Black (actually it should be named Charcoal) and I love that it's not an intense black. Great for day-wear. There's also an Ultra Black for the ones who are looking for a true black, and Brown for an even lighter shade. I've used this for a little over a month, almost everyday now and it has impressed me much better than my MAC Blacktrack Fluidline. Blacktrack still smudges on me if I forget to set it, but this does not! What makes this tip so unique is that it's a brush tip and not felt tip. I notice with felt tips that they tend to lose its pointed shape fast, but with this brush tip, I always get a clean and precise flick at the end of my line. I haven't had any problems with this drying up on me during mid application either. This liner also does not smudge and is water resistant like it claims. I swam with this on in the ocean and it didn't run off. As for the lash growth, it isn't drastic, but I do notice my lashes being a little bit longer than before.
Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
Kamee 5/13/2011 8:44:00 PM
I really love this duo and if I ever run out, I'd buy it again. I don't really use the blush since the color goes on light for me. I'm a NC 30. I would have to really pack it on for me to get some pigmentation. I think if you are fair skinned, the blush would be perfect for you. However, I really do love the bronzer. I use it everyday for contouring and it's perfect. Doesn't look orange or muddy, and I can hardly see the shimmer. I can't say this is a dupe for the more expensive Nars version, but I've seen and tested the blush. If anything, the ELF version is much lighter on the shimmer, which is perfect. First time I saw the Nars, I really wondered why so many people enjoy it since it looks like a disco ball in the pan and pink/gold aluminum on my finger. ELF's version however is perfect for my taste. And it seems to be paraben free so that's a plus too....
Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Oil with Aloe Vera & Vitamin E
Kamee 2/27/2011 8:45:00 PM
Love this stuff! Been using it in replacement of my body lotion and I'm never going back to lotions again. Unlike lotions, this stuff does not make your skin feel sticky or filmy after it has been on your skin for a while. My skin is left smooth, soft, and silky and it lasts until my next shower. I use this right after i dry myself a little after my shower (it feels weird not drying myself first). Your skin is still damp even after you towel off so the baby oil still holds onto that moisture. Since it's a thin consistency, i put this in a spray bottle with 1/3 water (shake it up before you spray) so it makes it a lot easier to apply.
This is an ok liner, but I expected more from a high end eye liner. This is very compatible to some of the potted drugstore liners such as the Jane one that was on the market a few years back. It stays on fairly well on my top lash line, but after several hrs on my waterline, it smudges and comes right off. However, I do have watery eyes and I have yet to find a liner that will stay on. My next try will be the mac fluidline. If you have watery eyes and you've found your HG liner for your waterline, please let me know.
I got this practically for free during their 2010 black friday gift set promotion. I'm so glad I didn't purchase this on my own because this stuff smells horrible. I wouldn't mind if it was a faint scent, but it's just too over powering for me. This moisturizer does gives off that "old lady" scent. Other than the strong scent, it does moisturize pretty well. It is super thick so it's good for super dry skin. But the scent is a big deterrent for me and I think i'm going to be tossing this in the trash :(
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector

I love this hand lotion and so does my boyfriend. It moisturizes VERY well. My boyfriend has super dry hands. His hands are so dry, it literally cracks to the point where it blisters and bleeds all year round if he doesn't lotion them up frequently. After maybe 2-3 days of usage, his blisters closed up and his hands look much more moisturized. He also loves the scent, but I don't really like the scent when I'm out in public. It smells like this herbal stomach medicine my mom use to give me as a kid whenever I get stomach aches (bo jia yeun in Cantonese). The packaging is horrible. I love how it looks, but it's not practical. The product constantly squirts out so you have to cap the product quickly, and capping the tube is a challenge itself because the lid is a screw on, so if you're not quick, the lotion can make a huge mess. But all in all, I will repurchase as well as try some other items from this line. I love The Body Shop :D
