Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
Juicy_TNA 11/19/2012 11:58:00 AM
My mom gave me this as a gift and I finished it within 5 months. I really enjoy using this during the day because it preps my skin for makeup REALLY WELL. It creates a very smooth canvas, esp around the under eye where I need it. Not sure if it brightens a lot since my skin is already quite pale but it think it does help reduce pores and helps to create a smooth canvas. No need for makeup primer with this serum. Fantastic! But price not so much..... Still on look out for a cheaper alternative! But til then, I continue with this for day use.
Dislike having to dip my finger into the jar. Smells ok, feels ok....everything about this cream is OKAY. As a day cream, it works FINE. The product just didin't wow me.
Fantastic day time moisturizer! My only complaint is it comes in 50ml which I use up easily in less then 6 months and it is not that cheap.... Good job moisturizing my combo skin and prepping for makeup. I have also caught my DH using it numerous times now so he enjoys it too... will definitely repurchase.
Initially liked how it felt on my hands when testing in the drug store. Purchased and have been using for last 6 months as a night cream since I feel it is too heavy for day time use. I wake up the following morning with really greasy skin and I don't feel it does a good job of sinking into and moisturizing my skin. This just did not work for me.
It looks beautiful on my bathroom counter and smells divine of florals/fruits...the product itself is not bad but it's definitely not that best that I've tried in terms of makeup removal. If you are makeup heavy, I would recommend sticking to Shu Uemura's formula. Otherwise, this will do fine.
Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes - Chocolate Lustre
Juicy_TNA 8/14/2010 1:04:00 AM
I have 3 cream shapers: Egyptian, Black Diamond, and Chocolate Lustre. This is my 2nd favorite out of the 3, the 1st being Egyptian. Chocolate Lustre is a beeeeautiful brown that makes me look gorgeous! I have experienced very little smudging and it lasts all day. I find this color really compliments my brown hair/eyes and med-light skin. Cream shapers apply flawlessly smooth and is totally worth the $17CDN price tag since with regular use and sharpening they'll last me 1-1.5 years. However, I do rotate amongst other liners so use your judgement :)
Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream shaper for eyes black diamond
Juicy_TNA 8/14/2010 12:58:00 AM
I have 3 cream shapers: Egyptian, Chocolate Lustre, and Black Diamond. Black diamond is my least favorite of the three since I prefer my black eye liners to be very black. This liner has some shimmer in it and is decent... I just wouldn't repurchase. As with all cream shapers, it applies flawlessly smooth. Clinque has got the formula down :)
I purchased this because I Loved the original formula of Voluminous waterproof. I figured Black Carbon would just be blacker and better but instead I found that this just smudged EVERYWHERE. Horrrible...ill never buy it again. Go for the original formula.
HG MLBB lipstick...gives my med-light complexion a fresh look...and a great pout. LOVES~! Will re-buy forever.
Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
Juicy_TNA 1/2/2010 3:50:00 AM
My HG brown pencil liner - for when I'm rushed and dont have time to use my pot liners or want a more natural look. It's got great staying power for a pencil. This is the most perfect dark rich brown. Totally worth the price and it lasts a long time...my last purchase of this was in Aug and I still have half a pencil to go and I'd say I use this 3-4 times out of the week.
Foundations -Yves Saint Laurent - Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation
Juicy_TNA 1/2/2010 3:42:00 AM
Got a sample of this in #5 and it matched my skin flawlessly! This evens out my complexion and takes away red-tones without looking overdone and cakey. It gives a good medium coverage which can be built up. I wore this out on NYE and I looked awesome in the photos. This foundation is worth the hype - SANS the built-in brush which I'd rip off as soon as I get it. Not only would it be more sanitary, you'd also be saving on a lot of product for use. Make sure you shake before you use as the properties in the foundation tends to separate. PArtied from till 4am and found some oilies in the t-zone but a lil powder would take care of it.
Got this as a xmas gift and I LOVE IT. It's very black, defines each and every lash.. I can use it comfortably for both top and bottom lashes. It gives a wet winged out effect... hands down best mascara I've ever used. And even though it isn't waterproof, it holds up extremely well for hours and hours with minimum smudging...HG material. Great packaging as its comfortable to hold and looks nice. This is my department store choice... Drug store choice, I'd go with Loreal Voluminous.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - All-in-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion
Juicy_TNA 12/10/2009 10:32:00 AM
I mix one pump of this and one pump of Cetiphil gentle skin cleanser and the result is a really good makeup removing cleanser that is extremely gentle on this skin! I stumbled upon this when I sleep over at my bf's and I dont have any beauty products around. He has sisters that has long moved out but they left behind these cleansers and so with time I came to mix the two and found great results. Give it a try :)
Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Brick and Lip Kit - Rose
Juicy_TNA 11/15/2009 5:40:00 PM
A wonderful product. The rose shimmer brick is extremely flattering. Its a light soft pink with just the right amount of shimmer to highlight your cheeks. The lip quad is also extremely universal - my favorite is the bottom right lippie which is a rose color. Soooo flattering on my med-light skin!! Great purchase :) FYI: NC25
Treatments (Eye) -Merle Norman - LUXIVA® Wrinkle Smoother Eye
Juicy_TNA 3/26/2009 9:57:00 AM
I can't really tell if this has improved my undereye circles/bags...I will say that it is very rich and feels nice going on. However, like the majority of the ladies who have tried it, this makes my eyes water/sting like MAD!! I keep using it because I feel like it will help in the long run and I don't want to give up on it so fast. However, it would be nice to know what causes that reaction and if it is at all harmful in someway? For the time being, I'm still unsure about this product and will probably try another eye cream when I'm done with this...if I can finish it. EDIT: After a couple months, the cream hardened and is no longer smooth upon application. This is not worth the stinging your eyes over! Will not repurchase.
