Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
Judifruit 12/27/2012 12:38:00 PM
WORST waterproof eyeliner I've ever tried. I read the other reviews and I *wish* mine was remotely difficult to take off...my experience with it is like night/day! Within minutes of application it smudged (I thought maybe I just didn't let it dry enough) and continued to smear, transfer, rub off and smudge throughout the morning. It's 9:30am and my eyelids are raw from all the "clean up" I've had to do with a tissue :P Horrible. What a waste of $3 because this is going straight to the trash.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
Judifruit 1/3/2011 11:39:00 AM
This mascara is good. Not the worst. It's lengthening but not as volumizing as I'd like - the formula feels thin (I guess that's how it keeps the non-clumping claim). I always drift from Voluminous and Lash Blast because I like to experiement, but haven't found anything to permanently replace those. If you find this on sale, it's worth a try (this many raves can't be dead wrong), but for me it's not a "run and get this now!" product.

Primer/ Corrector -Mally Beauty - Poreless Face Defender
Judifruit 1/1/2011 6:03:00 PM
You'd think something that looks like wax would be horrible for any skin - much less supermega oily skin - but it's more like a solidified gel so don't be scared. It mattifies my skin immediately and while it doesn't always last ALL day for me, reapplying this at 5pm isn't bad because it's not cakey or powdery at all. My face looks perfected when I apply this, and I feel like my makeup doesn't smear and my foundation doesn't "pool up" in my creases. My only cons: they made a travel version which is more like a regular compact, the sponge fitting into the case, and I wish the full size had this too instead of the humongoid separate sponge. Also, the way the gel's surface gets a little dirty after several uses is a little ick. One thing, just be sure you always pat this on - NEVER wipe or spread it onto your face...this will turn into a mess. Otherwise, I like this product and will probably purchase again in lieu of any other setting powders or compacts.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Abyssine Eye Cream
Judifruit 10/20/2009 12:12:00 PM
Not greasy, which is a huge plus for my oily skin. It's creamy but light, absorbs quickly and there's no stinging. I guess I just wouldn't buy again this time because there are so many eye creams out there now, I want to give them a shot. However, if I find that they fall short for whatever reason, this is one I'd definitely come back to.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam'eyes lash flirt
Judifruit 10/20/2009 12:03:00 PM
I have this in Kohl Black, which is a very dark black. I don't like the brush, it's like a comb. Although I assume that helps seperate, I guess I'm a brush kinda girl after all. The formula claims "Volume and Lift mascara" so I didn't expect lengthening (which it doesn't do much), but it was also meh on the volume and lifting. It's not the worst. I'm a mascara junkie so I couldn't NOT try it :) , but I won't repurchase.

Primer/ Corrector -Avon - MagiX Face Perfector
Judifruit 10/20/2009 11:49:00 AM
I'm not an avid Avon shopper, but once every few years I'll try a product and discover something good. I believe this is one of those gems. After trying products like Philosophy Never Let Them See You Shine (many, many moons ago) and mineral primers with no success, I cut out this step as an unnecessary expense. However, this goes on very smoothly, helps makeup apply evenly (I use mineral powder) and stay put longer, SPF 20 and about $10 for 1oz. For everyday sun protection I love the fact that I'm knocking out the additional sunscreen step with this primer. FYI: I'm acne prone with VERY oily skin. It doesn't completely control oil all day but it helps, and I've used this about 2-3 wks now with no breakouts.

Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Waterproof Evercolor Starlight eyeliners
Judifruit 5/5/2009 12:10:00 AM
Got the trio on QVC.com (black, copper and teal). I was sucked in by the presentation, the claims of "won't budge, smear or move until YOU take it off!!"...so exclaimed Mally, repeatedly. Eyeliners are one item in my search for holy grails. I have very oily skin and even with UDPP, even the toughest eyeliners are never 100% budgeproof. NEVER. So even as wary as I am about home shopping, this was worth a try. Especially at $26 (incl. s/h) for 3 pencils, some drugstore liners are just as expensive. I tried this on upper lashline and upper waterline. While the color doesn't disappear completely, there's still transfer and fading. By mid-morning, the liner on my upper lashline was splotching onto my lid and upper waterline color was transferring to lower waterline. Maybe it doesn't sound as bad as it could be, but considering her super promises and claims, this product falls short. Why did I still reward 3 lippies? Because while it didn't live up to claims, it wasn't a nightmare. And if they work for you, I think they're a good value. They did glide on very smoothly and the pencils felt like moderate quality - not cheap. ...but, going back for a refund!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Waterproof
Judifruit 9/28/2005 12:18:00 AM
One of the best drugstore mascaras for nice thick, dramatic lashes. Can't say it isn't ever clumpy...after a while it's expected of any mascara though, in my opinion. I did repurchase L'Oreal Voluminous, but this time NOT waterprooof. I have such a difficult time removing the w/p even with Neutrogena remover AND soap & water.

Mascara -Max Factor - Lash Lift Mascara
Judifruit 4/25/2005 9:15:00 PM
This stuff is pretty good. Really does give a decent "lift" without even curling, and offers semi-dramatic finish. It is a teensy bit clumpy...but I've yet to find a super mascara that isn't. Not yet my HG, but is probably on my "yes" list of whether or not I'd ever repurchase.

Lipstick -Paula's Choice - SOFT Matte Lipstick - Rose Brown
Judifruit 4/25/2005 9:12:00 PM
This is a nice color, ordinary rosy brown, but nice. Texture is creamy and stays well on the lips. I think she's phasing this line out, so grab them cheap ($3.97) on the site! :)

Lipstick -Paula's Choice - SOFT Matte Lipstick - Desert Rose
Judifruit 4/25/2005 9:10:00 PM
Desert Rose is a pretty, feminine, neutral pinky/rose. It's not too POW! and not too bland. The formula is creamy and stays well on the lips. I got this cheap ($3.97) because her Soft Matte formula must be getting phased out. My only weakness is for scent in lipstick...this has none (of course, Paula's a stickler for not adding unneccesary things) and so it has that "Revlon-ish" waxy lipstick smell. Not as bad as Revlon though, it goes away after a while so I tolerate it. Worth it for the price and great color.

Polishes -OPI - Cajun Shrimp
Judifruit 4/23/2005 12:44:00 AM
Ermm..I'm not really loving the color. It's a nice bright fun color, but it feels a little too red for me. Like I'm wearing red, but the coral in it makes it look like I'm wearing an "untrue" red polish. I'll keep it for my toes, but will find a more mellow, true-to-coral polish for my fingers.

Polishes -OPI - Heart Throb
Judifruit 4/10/2005 4:18:00 PM
Understated, sheer pink. More coats = more color...but it's never too bright. Reminds me of Maybelline Preppy in Pink, with better wear. Very everyday and feminine.

Lipstick -Avon - Glazewear in Peach Fizz
Judifruit 4/10/2005 4:13:00 PM
I like Glazewears overall. They're creamy and smell nice. I did not like Peach Fizz but I think it could very well just not be my color. It's like a frosty peach.

Lotions/ Creams -Natural Esscents - Papaya Waterlily
Judifruit 3/6/2005 2:01:00 PM
I asked this to be VERY lightly scented, so your mileage may vary. Lovely soft scent that is a touch fruity for fun and a touch floral for femininity. Just a nice balance. I give it a 4 ratings only because it wasn't anything to WOW! over...but it's definitely a wearable, daily scent.
