Cleansers -Lancome - Pure Focus Deep Purifying Cleansing Gel
Jotten 7/21/2011 8:26:00 PM
Just for reference i have acne prone-sensitive-combination skin (!!!!), and this cleanser saved me! I used everyday in the morning before i go to school, and it really keeps my complexion matte. I bought it in February 1st, we are in July 21st and i still have at least a third of the bottle left. I love this product! Even though people say it expensive, you'll only need two bottles a year, which if you do the math is much cheaper than buying every month clean&clear, neutrogena or clinique cleansers.
I dont know how to review this product because the MAC makeup artist gave me the wrong color: NW 20, when i am actually NW 15. Besides that, this is a good concealer, not the best one, but a good one overall. I have acne prone-sensitive-combination skin. Pros: -Packaging has a good quality and is compact (good for traveling) -It didnt brake me out -It didnt make me oily -It didnt stayed on my dry patches -it has a medium coverage Cons: -color was too dark -staying power: is not excellent, however is no THAT bad.... -It doesnt look natural if you just apply it with a normal concealer brush or your finger tips. I use a revlon eyeshadow brush, which has the same shape as Mac's 224. - It looks AWFUL as an undereye concealer, it only works with acne scars Overall, if I had it in the right color i would maybe buy it again.
I love this product! it suprised me when people said it was awful, because it works perfectly for me. I apply when my hair is wet, however i dont spray directly in my hair, i spray in my hands and them go through my hair. At the end my hair looks shiny soft, and i tested on my sister and so did hers. She has oily hair and i have normal hair, and neither of us had problems with oilyness.
this is my holy grail powder! I have acne prone-sensitive-combination skin (!!!!) I was looking for i powder that added no color, or barely none, and that could help me with my T zone (which is really oily). I am on my second ''tube'' (?). I am NC15, for reference, and the color i got was the lightest shade. The only downside of this product is the price, however as it does not brake me out, i will continue buying it!
pros: -packaging, is really good and it comes with a pump -the texture feels amazing -make up goes on smoothly -it is oil free cons: -does not help control the oilless on my face -it gave me 15, horrible pimples on my forehead and some others around my face, my skin looks horrible! -cost $36 dollars for just 30ml I will definetely never purchase this primer again!
Liquid -Vichy - Aera Teint Pure Fluid Foundation Finish Up to 12 Hour Wear
Jotten 3/10/2011 4:38:00 PM
Before I start talking about the foundation itself, I want to clear somethings: i have acne prone, combination, sensitive skin. I am NC15. When I got this foundation, the first thing that caught my attention was the packaging, it is made of a solid plastic, which really looks like glass, I only found out that is wasn't glass, because it felt from enormous highs multiple times and it never broke. It come with a pump, that really helps controlling the amount of product (unlike MAC' s pro longwear concealer pump). I got it in the color 23 Clair ivory, which is appropriate for a NC15 or NC20 skin. The undertone is yellow, so if you have warn skin undertone, you should be careful. I have been using this for a month and it hasn't broke me out (MIRACLE!), the texture is very similar to MAC's face&body, but the is medium coverage. They say it stays up to 12 h, I don't know about that, however it does stay for more than 6 hours. Without blotting my face stays ''matte'' for about 4 hours, and even though I get shiny, the foundation never ''disappears'' , after that I apply MAC's blot powder, and I stay ''shine free'' for the rest of the day. I applied with my finger tips, and this is the first foundation I have ever used, that I think the coverage is buildable, as it is so fluid, you can use 3 coats without looking fake, if you blend well. It smells just like clinique's clarifying lotion. It comes with 30 ml. Well, this was a pretty long review, I hope you like it! Have a nice day UPDATE: it does not last as long as it used to, and one hour, or even less, after i applied on my face, when i look in the mirror i am oily again.
I love this foundation, it never made me brake out, and it looks soooo natural, the coverage is light to medium, I applied with a kabuki brush, and not with the brush that comes in the packaging, but i thing it is better, although the brush in the packaging gives you the same look, but it just take longer. A lot of people are complaining about the packaging, well the brush it great for a packaging brush, dont get me wrong but this brush come technically for free and gives you a great aspect, but dont expect it to be a mac brush because it just ain't! This powder foundation is great to take with you on your purse, to do retouchs. It has a SPF 10, wich is nice, but the right thing is to wear everyday a SPF 30. I'm NC 15 for reference and my color is 010 or fair. It is a pink tone, but It doesn't look awkward on me at all. They say that it's up to 16 hours of use but this is bullshit, although is lasts 4 hours on a combo/oily skin without primes or retouchs. I hope my review was helpful! Have a nice day!
Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Mousse Makeup
Jotten 1/18/2011 8:36:00 PM
I love it! this is one of the best foundations that I have ever used, it look really natural, i apply it with my finger or with my 187 mac brush. I must say that if you have dry skin this is not for you but if you have combo or oily skin you should give it a try. I'm NC15 and my color is fair/light, and it looks perfect! If you're NC15, just buy it in fair/light. you don't even have to try it on it will look like you real skin. The coverage is light to medium but is buildable. it has a SPF 20, the ideal SPF factor would be 30, but 20 is already great, it has a soft matte finish, so it looks like a you have a natural matte skin, but still with that natural glow. If you have oily skin a is ''afraid'' of the word glow don't be! I hope my review was helpful UPDATE: -it does not last as long as it used to, and there is some kind of oil that is now floating on the surface and i have to shake the foundation everytime i want to use it.
Liquid -Clinique - Anti Blemish Solutions Liquid Make Up
Jotten 1/18/2011 8:23:00 PM
When I bought this foundation, I thought i was buying the acne solution, i just discovered now ( can you believe it?) that this is actually the anti blemish solutions. I got in fresh ivory, and I'm NC 15. It looked nice but I wish it was a lighter shade. It doesn't look natural at all, i use the 187 mac brush and them my finger, after that i aplly a fine coat of the MSN in light medium, so that it looks more natural. This foundation makes it look like I have some wrinkles in my forhead, and I'm not even 18 yet! it last quite a long time, but for sure it ain't a miracle in a bottle. I payed $25 or $22, wich is not expensive, but for the price it could still be better. I had another clinique foundation in the past, the stay true something..., and beside the color problem ( it was way too dark), the other proble was that it looked too artificial, just like this one, i thing i will never purchase another clinique foundation because of this, they are too heavy and the coverage is definitely not buildable at all. I hope my review was helpful, have a nice day!
I got this foundation at the lancome accounter on a duty free ( freeshop) in santiago chile. I payed about $50, wich was not a big deal, but the lancome lady ( uhgggg i hate her, she made me waste $50!), Gave me the wrong color, it's to dark for me. Just for reference I'm NC15. The color she gave me was 02, wich I think would look great in a NC or NW 20, or even better NC/W 25 skintone. I dont usually get tan, so i dont know how I am going to use it, so I'm going to review it ignoring the ''color problem''. Ok, if the color was right this would probably be my HG foundation. I applied with mac 187 and them I use my finger tips to make it look more natural. It last all day long, and I just got oily on my nose and a bit on my forehead after about 5 hours without blotting or anything like that. When you applied it right, people can't tell that you're wearing make up, wich it's great! I have acne prone, sensitive, combination skin, and I had no reaction with the color ideal foundation. It has SPF 15, wich is good but not enough, you should always wear spf at least 30. i hope you like my review!
OMG, I totally HATE this foundation! At first when I bought it, I was really happy, because it is so flattering, it blends well and the colour was perfect to me, but after one or two days using it, when I woke up there were 21 pimples on my face! 21!!! I just wanted to scream. I mean, I got this foundation on october and we are like at the end of november and the pimples are still on my face. As a acne prone skin makeup addicted, I give this foundation 1 lippie, however (yes I must tell you the good news), if you only have oily or combination skin, you will love it, because it stays perfect for the whole day, you may only need to blot once or twice, it doesn't turn orange,or pink. I hope my review was helpfull.
