Moisturizers -Trilogy - Age Proof Daily Defense Moisturizer SPF 15

Not good, very hard to apply and has quite a matt finish which I found drying. It's ok if I mix it with some rosehip oil, but not on its own. I adore the Trilogy range and this is the only product that hasn't lived up to its standard for me. Will not repurchase.

Mascara -Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill

Hmmmmm.....I had very high hopes for this after all the hype and perhaps this was a big part of my disappointment. It's pretty good, but in my experience with it not great. I really, really wanted to love this mascara as it sounded fantastic and it does deliver some volume and length. Of the Armani mascaras this is by far the best, but compared to some of the other 'greats' out there (YSL faux cils, Maxilash, Diorshow) this doesn't quite hit the mark. What I don't like with this is that it takes some time to build up volume. It also feels quite hard on, but perhaps this is because I'm more used to the YSL which feels soft to touch when you're wearing it. I have very long lashes and I what I really try to get in a mascara is some 'oomph!' but this was hard to do with Eyes to Kill. I'd say this is comparable to some of the L'Oreal mascaras in terms of quality, which is pretty good but considering the very, very hefty price tag I was disappointed. I'll continue to use this and try a few different application methods (with a base, with another mascara etc.) to see if I can get it to work a bit better for me, but for the long-run I'm staying loyal to my YSL, which isn't perfect (hello flakes!) but is still in a league of its own.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

I've tried so many different mascaras yet I keep coming back to this one - nothing makes my lashes so long, thick, fluttery and SOFT! The 'feel' of mascara on my lashes is a big issue for me (I hate that dry, brittle most mascaras give you), and this is lovely. The main downside I've found it the mascara doesn't last - it doesn't necessarily run out quick (all dependent on how much you use it, of course) but the effectivness of the mascara, I've found, lasts for about a month once opened and then the mascara seems to go dry and clay-like. This is a big down-side as I've never had to re-buy a mascara in such a short time! But until I find something else as fanastic (and hopefully with a longer life) I'll be sticking with this. Great stuff.

AKA "I didn't need that top layer of skin anyway....." Ouch! Awful stuff. Smells nice but leaves my skin so parched. I've given this a fair trial and have been using it each day now for about 3 weeks and in all honesty my skin has never been worse. My skin turned flakey and dry even after the first use, which then boosted my sebum production and I ended up with flakey, dry and acne-riddled! Nice. Avoid this product and save your pennies.
