The past couple of deoderants of mine have been natural (aluminum-free), and they weren't doing the job, so my sister recommended Secret. I used to use Dove in the green cucumber even before the natural ones, and that didn't work well either. This has great coverage and smells wonderful. I highly recommend it.
Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
Joanne1029 2/11/2013 1:59:00 AM
Was in an attempt to find a holy grail lip balm, and this did not meet my standards. I purchased the lemon and chamomile version, and it smelled of bubblegum. Wasn't moisturizing, too expensive for the amount. Not worth it.
I have dry, dull hair that's quite long. I usually don't tend to my hair's needs, so I thought to look for a deep conditioner. I've heard rave reviews, and because of its low price, I thought why not? I initially thought this was great, as I do with all new products. It made it soft and smooth, but for some reason, it no longer does that. Maybe I'm not leaving it long enough. But nonetheless, I won't repurchase. The smell is unpleasant: artificial coconut.
This is my first time trying a dry shampoo. My first impression was that its scent was very artificial. Kind of reminded me of lemons, but that's probably because of the yellow accent. It left a white powdery residue on my head, which of course, is unappealing. I wouldn't not recommend this, AT ALL.
Cleansers -Boots - Expert Sensitive Gentle Cleansing Lotion

Ever since I encountered beautypedia.com I've relied on it for new skincare products. I've been avoiding purchasing the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser for some reason. I've never tried a product from Boots, and I thought, "sure, why not?". Well this product does not work well. It doesn't clean well on its own. And it feels drying, which I thought would be the exact opposite for me. I imagined it to be much like the Pond's Cold Cream, but nope. Although if you apply it to your face with a cotton ball it works much better, but when I do I use three-four, which is such a waste. I would not repurchase. Oh, and I have dry skin.
Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
Joanne1029 1/29/2013 1:03:00 AM
My main issue is my under eye circles. This works incredibly well for me. I bought the shade Medium, and I'm about a Mac C5 in Face and Body. It's full coverage, but not thick. Highly recommend. The only problem is the packaging; it cracks easily.
Cleansers -Alba Botanica - Natural Acnedote Deep Pore Wash
Joanne1029 1/29/2013 12:56:00 AM
I have dry non-acne prone skin. I bought this cleanser for its exfoliating properties (Salicylic acid). It's drying. It's quite liquidy, so it results in wasted product. It's only lasted me 2-3 months, which is rarely the case for me. I would not repurchase.
The way this revitalizes my skin is amazing. I love how it has such a high concentration of salicylic acid of 2%. Though I don't have acne-prone skin, it helps maintain its smooth texture. Lately I've been using beautypedia.com to assure my products' efficiency, and this particular cleanser is said to be good, the menthol and eucalyptus acts as irritants. Irritants break down the collagen, and at the mere age of 17, that's something I'd like to prevent. I just purchased the Alba Botanic Acnedote Deep Pore Wash as the replacement, and I will use it first thing in the morning.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

I got this as a present for my birthday. It came in a duo pack including the rose version. Pros: - Impressive packaging-- sturdy metal casing - Lemon scented-- love! Cons: - Not moisturizing enough - Too expensive!
Pros: - Fairly natural (no aluminum) Cons: - Works okay for being a natural product - Smells like bug repellant *Will repurchase in lavender most likely *** 11/11/12 It doesn't last throughout the day. I may the solid version in lavender though.
Moisturizers -Cerave - Facial Moisturizing Lotion - AM SPF 30
Joanne1029 8/23/2012 12:41:00 AM
Pros: - SPF 30 - doesn't sting - no white cast - good ingredients Cons: - doesn't moisturize well enough for my dry skin *Best for normal skin types
First of all, this stuff smells awesome! I can't describe it accurately, but I feel like it'd be one of those scents where you'd either love it or hate it. I use this product any time really; any time I feel that my hair needs a bit more moisture. So after the shower, when my hair is dry, or when I just want some extra shine. I really enjoy this. EDIT: This smells okay now, not like how I used to view it. And it's fine for how it works on my skin, but it doesn't have long lasting effects.
So overall, I find this product to be quite decent. I initially bought this because I wanted a new sunscreen that doubled as a moisturizer. The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunscreen in SPF 70 was not cutting it for my dry skin, and also stinged it a few times. I have found two problems with this particular product though (Olay): 1. It's a bit thick, maybe I just like incredibly thin consistencies because I don't fancy tinted moisturizers much either because of that. 2. It does leave a white cast. When I wore this to school my friend would often comment questioning whether or not I had sunscreen, which in my opinion, is not much of a compliment. Considering the fact that you should apply a quarter sized amount it definitely will, but I have found if you only squirt it once, it won't, but that just won't cut it for me. *Not for dry skin or for people who prefer thinner consistencies.
Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Crystal Body Deodorant Stick
Joanne1029 3/18/2012 2:05:00 AM
I haven't tried many deodorants to classify this product as the 'worst,' but it simply does not work, for me at least. I had initially bought this deodorant because of all the rave reviews and because it was aluminum free, but it just does not work. I apply it and I feel as if nothing changed at all. Will not repurchase.
Pros: Organic Cons: Hard to use glass bottle, easy to waste Not very moisturizing; not for dry skin Expensive
