Eyeliner -Sonia Kashuk - Dramatically Defining Long Wear Gel Liner
JinaChan 3/19/2010 8:20:00 PM
This review is for the blue gel liner. It looks subtle and natural, which is what I wanted -- something that doesn't look as dramatic as black, but would look good with yellow-toned skin and brown eyes. I don't have Stila or MAC liners to compare with, but I agree with others here that the texture is a little dry. But I have oily Asian eyelids and this liner does not budge. It's actually a little challenging to remove at the end of the day. I've only had it a couple weeks so I don't know how long-lasting it is.

Nice to see I'm not the only person to discover this. :) It does fine at removing makeup, doesn't break me out or dry me out, and the price can't be beat. It's at least as good as Purpose face wash.
The best shampoos and conditioners I have used have been Aubrey Organics. But this product was horrible! The smell was repulsive, and lasted all day. I would have washed it out immediately but I had to go to work and live with the smell. Only used it once, then threw it out.

I love the way this TM looks: like my skin but through a soft-focus lens. It doesn't look oily, but it does give a soft glow to the skin. The only problem is that I broke out with a huge acne cyst after one day of wearing it. The price is great, especially for how much product you get. I would love to find something that looks the same but doesn't break me out.
This is the best concealer I've found for my purple undereye circles. As most everyone has noted, a little bit goes a long way. It blends in smoothly, comes in enough colors that I found a perfect match, looks natural, and stays on all day. I also blend a little around the base of my nose to hide some redness. I do have to moisturize before I use it, but I have to do that with any concealer. The only downside is the price, but I got the miniature tube months ago and have barely dented it.
This is the absolute best facial cleanser I've found for my oily, acne-prone skin. It controls the oil and rinses away cleanly. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with dry skin, but for oily skin types, this is the best.

I like the way this looks (not too shiny but not totally matte) and it helps with my oiliness, and it's nice that it comes with a brush so I can just throw it in my bag in the morning...but I've been wearing it off and on for 2 weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's making me break out. No other MMU has made me do this, so I'm sad to rate it low but I have to.
This is horrible. It's very drying, and that's tough to do since I have very oily skin. It smells like cheap men's aftershave. And the scrubbing beads are small and abrasive. I'm going back to Purpose immediately.

This concealer has a great texture for an undereye concealer but the colors are bizarre: fair is incredibly pink and light is much too yellow. I can't wear this.

This gives a smooth, natural but flawless look to my pitted nails. Unlike nail polish, it does not contain phthalates, and it doesn't peel off and look terrible in a few days.

People must be rating this highly for blemishes. I tried it for undereye circles and it does not blend well, looks fake, and is much too dry.
I use this as an eyeshadow primer, diluted 50:50 with water in a little squeeze bottle. Without it, my eyeshadow creases almost instantly! (I am half Asian.) With it, my eyeshadow lasts all evening! I haven't tried to see if it will last through the workday, because I don't normally wear eyeshadow to work. It's cheaper than beauty store primers, and doesn't contain additives like parabens. So I'm very pleased.
Lipstick -Clinique - Moisture Surge in Sweet Mocha

This is my perfect MLBB color for winter; it comes out a rosy color on me (pale, cool-toned, Asian). In summer when I'm tanned it looks a touch too brown. I will be wearing Sweet Mocha for as long as Clinique makes it.
This glides on beautifully and layers better than any other sheer polish I've tried. The color is on the cool side, not a natural peachy pink.
This contains peppermint oil, which I think is irritating my lips. If it didn't contain that, it would be an excellent lip balm.
