I don't know what it is with this product, but no way. I am bummed I lost the receipt and cannot return it. First of all, I bought the lightest shade. When I applied it I immediately thought "Oh no! This is way too light and pink!". I wore it for the day just to test it out. Soon realizing that this shade was too pink for me, I exchanged it for the next shade down (002). This shade looks fine when I apply it, but after 20 minutes it oxidizes a shade darker than when I applied it! Also, you must use a brush with this product if you have any skin problems or it will cling. I had some dry skin that I didn't even know about until I put this off. It looked terrible! I had to wash my face and hurry out the door. The first time my skin was freshly exfoliated and I used a mask so I didn't notice it, but if your skin is not in perfect makeup ready condition, I mean PERFECT, then this doesn't look good. Also, it is very dewy. Strange that it accents flakes and is sparkly. Note that if you thought Photoready has too many "glitters"... stay away from this! I swatched it on my hand and it looked like sparkly highlighter. On the face it just gives a major dewy look, but I don't think it would flatter anyone...

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Miracle

I tried this a while back and was not blown away, I was in quite the trying stage where I didn't use anything repeatedly. Just tried it again these last few days and wow, why did I just have this sitting in my drawer!!? I am using the shade Ivoire 1N. I thought it would be too light but it is perfect. Looks like skin, in fact, with one layer, it looks like nothing. NOTHING. Amazing!! I apply a bit more to problem spots and that's it! I think some may want to use a bit of concealer after however, as this is not full coverage. But it will make your skin look amazing. I use a little concealer under my eyes just to brighten. Perfection! I have combo skin and this last all day. I thought it wouldn't because when I put it on it is a bit on the dewy side, and I do set it with powder, but by the end of the day it looks just as lovely and set as it did in the morning. I think I might even try it without the powder to see how it goes as I do like the dewy look sometimes. This is probably one of the best foundations I have ever tried. The only downsides are that you don't want to build this up too much. Two light layers on problem areas only, just one on the rest of your face, or it will look like makeup. And that it is quite dewy and that makes me feel like I need to set it. But, that may not be an issue for some people, especially if you have dry, normal, or combo dry skin. All in all, I would repurchase this and I hope I remember to next time I have an event or special occasion.

Mascara -Revlon - Photoready 3D Volume

This is a nice mascara if you are looking for length and definition without any clumping. I will personally stick to my HG CoverGirl Lash Blast but this was nice to try. The reason I would not repurchase is simply because for me the bristles were too long so I couldn't get right into the base of my lashes where I like to build from. This mascara gives a more natural yet still glam look.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Golightly

Great for dark blue/green eyes! The perfect brown bronze shade to brighten the eye but not too dark to wear to work nor too orange or red. Very nice staple.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion

I bought this because of the reviews that it was a good moisturizer that didn't break you out. Well, it is a good simple moisturizer, I give it that. It was probably just me but I did get some clogged pores while using this. Maybe I'll give it another shot in the future but I just ended up using the rest of the huge bottle (great value by the way) on my body. If you are looking for a basic moisturizer this may work for you and I still think it was worth a shot as it has worked well for so many others.

Tinted Moisturizer -Kiehls - tinted moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]

I LOVE THIS TM! I have used Laura Mercier (all of the TM by the brand), The Balm, Aveeno, CG Smoothers, and Benefit You Rebel. I have most likely forgotten some others. This one is the best! It actually moisturizes! Most do not. It offers light coverage, sheer first layer but your can build it to light-almost med. Which is perfect for me! I use a sheer layer all over and then a little more right in the center of my face where I get redness. Light is a little dark on my NC15/NC20 skin but because it is so sheer, I feel this blends in with my skin wonderfully. Plus I set it with a powder that matches perfectly anyway. If you are lighter than NC15 I think it might be a problem but if you are a dark NC15 or below I think this will work lovely for you. The best part is that this product doesn't look like you are wearing makeup at all, you just look like you have naturally healthy and even skin. On my combo skin it lasts a good 8 hours before I get oily on my forehead but that is good for me. Usually my skin feels tight and dry around my cheek/mouth/eyes but it an oily mess on my forehead and with this the tight feeling is gone and the oil is not as bad (although I do use a mattifying powder. Usually the powder dries me out too much but now I can wear it again!) This TM is a life saver I will absolutely repurchase! For the price I still think it is FAR more worth it that Laura Mercier which to me is visible makeup and harder to blend. With this TM a tip is to pat it on the areas you need more coverage instead of smearing it around, pat and blend instead and you will get more concentrated concealing. My skin has not looked this great in a LONG time... when I was young and didn't need MU. You get a lot of product in the bottle as well, and I love the packaging. Simple and not bulky, it will be great to travel with. I am going camping soon and am glad I won't be lugging around a big Laura Mercier bottle that holds almost half as much product. TRY IT!

Conditioner -Nature's Gate - Aloe Vera Treatment Conditioner

WOW... My curly (3A) hair has been a frizz monster lately. Even with my Supersmooth Purology conditioner or Coppola Keratin conditioner! I tried this out of a whim today and I am in love! It smells great, a unisex scent. Not strong. When you put it in your hair it feels creamy, just the texture I like, not too thin not too thick. The perfect consistency if you get knots, to help you comb through it. My hair is so much better, tame and smooth, it looks like I got a haircut! I bought it for just under 6 bucks at my Sunflower Market and I WILL repurchase! I am shocked! I JUST repurchased my Pureology Hydrate and SuperSmooth shampoo & conditioners a week ago! I will use them up but I think this might be my new HG! Oh, and for those who have had BKT, neither this nor the shampoo have Sodium Chloride or SLS or any of it's kin. GREAT FIND!!!

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Beauty Bar

I have used this my entire life for the body. My mom used it on her face as well and it worked well for her. I went on vacation and tried it as a face cleanser and it worked just fine as well! For me, the best usage is to shave with this. I usually get bumps when I shave but not when I use this, create a lather on my legs and then shave. Silky smooth! Much better than any of the several shave creams or gels I have tried.

Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum

I have tried this twice so far and I am really liking it. I have been using it under my Cover Girl Lash Blast. It does take a while to get enough product coating the lashes, which makes me wonder if there is not much in the tube. I kind of have to twirl the wand around to get the product on the wand. I have noticed that you should not go back and forth much or do a second coat with this or it will get too thick (spider lash), but some may like that much volume. My lashes have never looked this great with any mascara and I will repurchase this whenever possible, as it is costly. But, for these lashes, wow, I am impressed! I have only tried the primers that come with dual ended mascaras at the drugstore and this blows those away! Great item and very glad I bought it! HG so far! Update 11/8/11 - I have been using this for just a little while (a week or so?) daily. I am already having a harder and harder time getting enough product to completely coat my lashes out of the tube. This is a shame because you really need to apply mascara before this is dry or you get spider lashes. When it takes longer to apply this step, some of it already starts to dry by the time I put mascara on. I will have to try just doing one eye at a time with this + mascara. Still, not giving up, as it did make a huge difference before!

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss Of Shimmer

I do not like this at all! The color is great and it is not too much shimmer unlike the Burt's Bee's Shimmer Lip Balm. I really love the normal Nivea lip balm in the blue tube and the cherry tint version, but this formula is different. It is ok for one application but if you apply it again it starts to ball up little wax balls on your lips! The first ingredient in this version is wax. Skip this and go with the other Nivea lip balms.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder

I can't really say why I dislike this product. Perhaps my combo skin is not oily enough for this one? It feels just like any other cheap powder to me. I prefer my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to this, as it keeps my skin looking natural and not oily whereas this makes my skin look dull. Too matte for me I suppose.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)

I think I may have found my go to cleanser for a long time here. My skin is combo - flaking in areas and oily t zone. I used tretinoin (Retin A) which makes my cheeks flake. I was trying to use the normal Cetiphil Gentle Cleanser to remove makeup and again to cleanse my face and it just did not feel clean. It felt like it left a film. I think it was probably just that it is so gentle that it leaves the oils your skin naturally makes, which is great if you have dry skin. I happened to try this version while camping with my husband. I gave him this cleanser when I accidentally bought it thinking it was the Gentle one. I should have kept it! This stuff is great! I wash twice, once to remove makeup and once to cleanse. It does not dry my skin out or leave it feeling overly tight. Gradually I think my skin is beginning to balance itself. Today I did not experience flaking and that is great. My skin feels clean afterwards and it removes all my eye makeup as well without a lot of rubbing. (I do not use waterproof though). Great stuff! Cetaphil cleansers are the best out there! If you have normal/dry go with the Gentle Cleanser, you will LOVE it. If you have Normal/Combo/Oily try this version, it will do everything a good cleanser should without any false claims. Update: Still LOVE it! I have been trying out the famed Purity cleaner by Philosophy and just happened to try this again for a few days... I forgot how much I love it!

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Rose Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact

OMG I love this product, in the shade Rose is my favorite. I am fair, about NC15 ish. Therefor, this is a blush for me. I asked a friend today if she could notice a lot of shimmer on my cheeks and she could not, not even in sunlight. I think the trick is to stay away from the white strip on the top of this pallet. It comes off as the most natural gorgeous go with everything shade. This would be great for everyone. I do think it would accent large pores if that is a major concern to you, but only very large pores. Mine are normal, not tiny but not large, and I love this shimmer brick. I will repurchase when it runs out... which could be FOREVER because I have already owned it for about a year and a half! LOVE!

Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara

I really like this mascara, especially because it is organic. The packaging makes it stand out among my other cosmetics so it is easy to find. My lashes get a somewhat natural with a little glam but no clumpiness to them when I wear this and I love that. This is perfect to wear to the office and to build up at night. THE BAD: if you have watery eyes stay 10 feet away from this mascara. One night my hubby made me laugh so hard my eyes watered and then BURNED... why were they burning? Well, I asked him and he said "You have mascara all down your face!" LOL! It seriously was terrible. It burned getting into my eyes as it ran down all over my face. Not a little, a lot! Good thing is this mascara is super easy to take off and I love that as well, just be cautious and aware if your eyes water or you have problems with mascara doing this or smudging. I still wear it and will repurchase but I can only imagine if that had happened to me in public! Office, weekend shopping, etc. this is my go to. Night out with friends or hubby where I plan on laughing till I cry... NO WAY.
