Oh my goodness...how do I describe the wonder of this product? Think of the most amazing moment of your life, Midnight Rose is the perfume equivalent of that feeling.

Eyeliner -Bourjois - Liner Feutre - 11 Noir
JennyBean13 7/10/2012 9:10:00 PM
This is a very "meh" product. I'm just going to jump right into pros and cons. Pros: Fairly cheap. Very black. Cons: -Seems to dry out after only being used for two seconds. -The tip bends easily, definition and crisp lines become very hard to achieve. It's not awful. it's not genius.

Tinted Moisturizer -LUSH - Colour Supplement
JennyBean13 6/19/2012 6:07:00 PM
I bought this in Jackie Oates, it's such a light shade that's perfect for my very pale skin. This is a brilliant daily multi - purpose product. You can apply it with your fingers for a light coverage, apply with a foundation brush for a little heavier coverage, or use as a concealer. The jar may look small but it lasts quite a while as you really don't need to use much daily. I got mine in may and I'm only about a quarter through. I find that I can almost always go without moisturiser underneath, but if you have dry skin you will need to moisturise. Primer is up to you, I usually only use it if I'm applying the supplement with a foundation brush. Pros: 1. Multi - purpose. 2. Buildable coverage 3. Affordable 4. Good for your skin 5. Fresh feel. 6. Cruelty free (a nice plus) Cons: 1. Needs to be used within about 12 months (natural ingredients) 2. Smells a bit weird. 3. Best for combination skin (oily skin will look too shiny, dry patches may be highlighted after a while) 4. Light coverage.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
JennyBean13 5/1/2012 2:47:00 PM
Between finding eye pencil too smudgy and liquid liner too much of a b*tch, I decided to try this gel liner. I was very pleasantly surprised! This is so easy to apply. I found the brush very useful, which was surprising, as I thought it would just be this crappy thing they threw in to make the product look good. You do need to wash it after nearly every use, however, as it goes hard with product easily. I find that applying black eyeshadow over the liner (carefully!) makes it lasts much longer and keeps it's definition better. So yeah, a great product.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
JennyBean13 1/17/2012 3:12:00 PM
I got this for christmas from my sister and I really like it :) Pros: As pigmented as the faces of Jersey Shore. Lovely and shimmery. Last all day. Wide range of neutral, warm colours. Brush is decent, but you'd be better off with your own. Little primer potion sample! It's great. Cons: Pricey. I generally prefer darker colours so I probably wouldn't buy it again, but that's just personal.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
JennyBean13 1/17/2012 3:04:00 PM
If there is a God, he made this mascara. I had been looking at this for ages but its 24.50 so I decided to ask for it for christmas, and my mum gave it to me in my stocking (you're never too old for stockings). Pros: Lengthens amazingly. Very black. Easy to apply - great brush. Curls your lashes very well (with or without an eyelash curler) Even just one coat looks amazing - which is good for your purse. Cons: It doesn't make your lashes look very thick, which doesn't quite give that false lash effect promised. Pricey. No waterproof version available (or at least, not in Ireland) I love it so much :)

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion
JennyBean13 11/8/2011 7:02:00 PM
You need to know how to work with this brush as it takes some practice to be able to lash it on in 2 minutes. I think it's decent, but not amazing. It clumps quite easily but when done correctly it can look very nice. However, I was experimenting one day and put on my normal mascara (Maybelline Great Lash) and then used Explosion to add detail to the corners and bottom lashes. I found this combination of mascaras worked great for me. Alone, it's only alright but combined it's a nice handy little tool. I think I'd buy this again.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash Volume Mascara
JennyBean13 11/7/2011 6:44:00 PM
I've been looking at this mascara for a while and when I spotted it in TK Maxx (irish equivilent of TJ Maxx) for 3.99 I grabbed it. At first I was totally diappointed with this mascara as it clumped horribly. This little thing takes some manovering. Take the brush out of the tube (for those saying it's hard to get out, it's a little tug for pity's sake :P) and wipe off the excess. Start from the very root of your lashes and go slowly to the top. Don't wriggle it from side to side - just go straight up or it will clump. It dries slowly so be careful if you want to apply other eye makeup, ideally apply the mascara last. This is just how I found it works best. It really curls and volumizes quite well. I'll just say that I have long lashes and I don't think it would work very well on short lashes. I'd probably buy it again to get me by for a while if I ran out of my other mascara but it wouldn't be on the top of the list.

Liquid -Max Factor - Smooth Effect Foundation
JennyBean13 10/31/2011 9:04:00 PM
I was very disappointed with this as I love Max Factor. I got the lightest shade but it was too orangey for me. It applies smoothly and easily but doesn't have great staying power - I was shiny again by lunchtime. I won't be buying again.

Liquid -Max Factor - Xperience Weightless Foundation
JennyBean13 10/31/2011 8:53:00 PM
I was a little wary of buying another Max Factor foundation after being disappointed with Max Factor Smooth Effect. It was 15 euro (about $20) and I got it in the shade light ivory. This. Stuff. Rocks. I love the texture, it's so smooth and although may feel a little thick when you squeeze it out of the tube it feels light on the skin. It's a pleasure to apply because it feels so smooth and blends easily. Other reviews say it dried fast and so found it difficult to blend, but I think it dried at a normal rate. It has a bit of a weird smell when it comes out of the tube but it disappears once you apply it (asked the boyfriend for confromation). The packaging is good, a nice handy little squeezy tube (ah...that sounds bad :P ) I usually have trouble with drugstore foundations because I'm pretty pale but this matches me very well. Coverage is light to medium so I use it for a natural look during the day (so if it's lots of coverage you want this won't be the best). It gives a dewy finish which I love as matte foundations make my face look flat. I have combination skin so I'm always worried about looking shiny around the t-zone but after 6 hours of wear when I went into the bathroom I still looked oil - free. Great staying power. I used Gosh primer beforehand and finished with Maybelline Dream Matte powder. I really don't have a bad word to say about this, except maybe the price as it was a little much for a drugstore product. But for such a great foundation I don't mind that much. Highly recommend and will be buying again.

Conditioner -Aussie - Mega Instant Conditioner
JennyBean13 9/16/2011 1:06:00 PM
Since getting my hair cut short I really just need a shampoo & conditioner that will leave my hair clean and fresh, but also that would be fine for everyday as short hair sticks straight up in the morning and there is no quick fix - it has to be washed. This stuff is great. It leaves my hair soft, silky and light. It's perfect for everyday (although I condition my hair every second day anyway). The smell is also great - a fresh, slightly flowery scent. This is my HG conditioner. I'm on my third bottle. The Mega Instant shampoo is also great. It doesn't seem to strip my hair of oils like some shampoos do. Overall, a great product. It works and it's cheap.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
JennyBean13 9/9/2011 12:17:00 PM
Oh my god, this stuff is amazing. I have long lashes (thanks mom) but they stick straight out so I always go for volumizing and curling mascaras. You need to be right in front of the mirror and work slowly because it is a little tricky to apply. I love how you can apply it normally and them use the top circular bit to add detail to the outer lashes. The result: Doll like lashes. I save it for the weekend. No offense, but it sounds like a lot of the bad reviews are simply due to people not using it properly. It takes a little longer than your average mascara, yes, but only a few seconds.

Liquid -L'Oreal - infallible never fail makeup
JennyBean13 9/3/2011 5:13:00 PM
Going back to school I needed a foundation that would last for the day as I don't like the idea of re-applying foundation in a dim, dirty school bathroom. I got this for about 17 euro (which is a lot for a drugstore foundation) in the shade of Porcelain. Literally one pump was all I needed for my entire face. It blends like a dream has has a dewy finish. Coverage is medium, which is great for me as I really only wear foundation when I break out. It lasts me through the day, which consists of walking 20 minutes to school, up and down stairs all day, stuffy classrooms, and a 20 minute walk home. Not too shabby. This is the only affordable foundation I have ever found that matches my incredibly pale skin tone. No more orange! All in all, LOVE this. My new HG foundation.

This raised my hopes when it went on perfectly only to give me the panda eye effect a few hours later. Sign of crapola.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Foundation Brush
JennyBean13 8/30/2011 11:50:00 AM
I had a foundation brush a few years ago and it sucked so I've been using my fingers since then. I saw this brush for a tenner so I thought I'd give it a try and I really like it! It's lovely and soft and gives great application.
