Fragrances -Lanvin - Oxygene

I have used this perfume on and off for probably 8 years. Unfortunately, department stores no longer carry this scent, so in order to buy it, you have to resort to discount stores (TJMaxx, Marshalls, etc) or online perfume stores. That being said, I got a huge bottle at TJMaxx for $14.99. I love the light clean scent it has, and it does seem to be long wearing. I just wish Lanvin wouldn't have d/c'd it because eventually it will be harder to find and I wonder if the quality will decline.

Powder -Trucco - Duo Powder Foundation
rated 5 of 5

This is a fantastic product that can be applied wet or dry. I got a good color match with natural. The foundation comes with a sponge, but I usually apply it with a powder brush. My skin looks good and isn't itchy, as I have found with some other powder foundations. Flawless-looking skin and out the door in minutes :)

Lotions/ Creams -C.O. Bigelow - Superb Body Lotion
rated 4 of 5

I got this lotion, the 2 oz size, at the BBW sale for $2.50. It smells really nice, definitely a better scent than other almond scents I have sniffed. It is a pretty lightweight lotion, so if you need something creamier, this one wouldn't be for you. That being said, it is not sticky and gross and works for normal/oily bodies :). I would buy it again, but right now I'm doing Perlier Honey after bath moisturizer.

Skincare - Body -C.O. Bigelow - Almond Superb Body Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

This body wash is nice. It is neither drying or oily, and smells very good. I would probably buy it again, but I am currently on a honey scent kick. I got my little 2 oz bottle at BBW sale for $2.50. Probably wouldn't pay full price because it isn't my favorite scent, but it was on sale, and definitely had a great almond scent as opposed to others I have smelled

Lotions/ Creams -C.O. Bigelow - Quince Hand Lotion
rated 2 of 5
Jennipooh74 6/22/2006 10:02:00 PM

I got a sample of this, and I was hoping for good things as I have heard some accolades for this line. So....meh...didn't do much for hand moisturizing. I liked the citrusy smell in the package, but it fades REALLY fast. Nope, this product doesn't do much and I'm glad I didn't shell out money for it.

Moisturizers -C.O. Bigelow - Deluxe Facial Moisturizer

I got a sample of this stuff, and I've got to say a few things about it. I'm glad it was a sample, because I don't plan to purchase it. The texture was smooth and sunk in fast. It didn't leave an oily appearance, but...what are all these little pimples everywhere?!? Where did they come from? Anywho, it smells OK (light almost herbally smell), but it doesn't have sunscreen.

Eye Makeup Remover -Lumene - Absolute Away eye makeup remover
rated 5 of 5
Jennipooh74 6/16/2006 12:43:00 AM

Although the only other eye m/u remover I've really tried as of late were the Almay oil slick pads (nasty!), I've got to say I really like this product and I don't need to search anymore for a really good remover. It clearly has oils in it, but doesn't leave a nasty residue and wipes away nicely. It does its job, and that's all I request. Be sure to shake the bottle before squirting onto a cotton ball/pad to mix the 2 phases.

Scrubs -Grassroots - The Best and the Brightest
rated 3 of 5
Jennipooh74 6/8/2006 10:50:00 PM

I bought this product because I wanted to try some different scrubs. This product smells nice, a nice subtle citrusy-type scent. When trying in on the back of my hand at Kohl's, it seemed gentle enough. Unfortunately, when I brought the product home, and used it on my face, I got the sensation that I was using fine-grit sandpaper (not good for my sensitive skin) and the grains did not rinse off very easily. I think this product would be fine for less sensitive skin, but I could be wrong. Update: Used it as a body polish, but still was horrid. Trash bin bound!

Scrubs -Lumene - Arctic Touch Dual Action Exfoliating Cream
rated 5 of 5

This product is very nice and gentle for my sensitive skin. It smells nice, also. I was worried when I read mineral oil at first, but it seems to work just fine. I picked this up at CVS for 8.99, but also bought the eye m/u remover and had a $5.00 off coupon, so I got a great deal on stuff I wanted to try.

Lotions/ Creams -Perlier - Honey recipe for the hands, with virgin beeswax
rated 5 of 5
Jennipooh74 5/23/2006 10:15:00 PM

Review is actually for the honey recipe after bath moisturizer for the body. I love this stuff!!!! The texture: rich and creamy, but not sticky, melts right into your skin. The smell: a pure honey experience, but not sickingly sweet....a real dream for the skin....still dying to find more!!! Got my first tube at TJMaxx for $4, and now am dying for more :)

Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads
rated 1 of 5
Jennipooh74 5/2/2006 11:05:00 PM

disgusting product. I thought I would like it for the convenience of having little pads, ew! I took a pad out, wringed it to remove some extra oil (very oily), then used it on my eyes. It not only did NOT remove all my eye makeup (apparent by the raccoon eyes the next day), but also left a film all over and gave me blurred vision for a long time even after wiping the stuff away with a cotton ball. real loser product in my books. it's going straight to the trash

Accessories -Unlisted Brand - Aquis
rated 5 of 5

LOVE LOVE LOVE these towels. I've bought two of the Aquis towels, both from TJMaxx, so the price was cheaper than average retail. These microfiber towels are awesome. They absorb water rapidly and you can dry your hair faster than just air-drying/blow-drying alone. Definitely worth it...I think I've spent about $11 per towel.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride
rated 5 of 5
Jennipooh74 4/1/2006 1:34:00 AM

Well, I put yes on buy again question, but I doubt I will ever have to! This stuff is a nice color for my pale golden skin. It smells so yummy, blends fairly easily once you get past the sticky/tackiness of it, and provides a very natural glow. Lasts all day for me. Neat packaging concept, but be sure not to push the stick(?) up too far, as it may be very difficult to retract it.

Eye Shadow -Fresh - Myriad of Stars trio
rated 3 of 5
Jennipooh74 4/1/2006 1:20:00 AM

Well, the first reviewer wrote a very thorough review in which I generally agree. I took off one lippie because by the end of the day, I had shadow concenetrated in the creases, which is a bit aging. Overall, a very nice, somewhat pricey, eye trio palette, with great purpley colors for my dark brown eyes. Me: pale golden normal/combo skin.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Retractable Blush Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jennipooh74 3/23/2006 7:48:00 PM

I generally like this brush. I've used it a few times. I love retractable brushes because they are convenient. I got the brush at Target for $10. So far it is working well, not shedding, and the hairs/bristles are soft and large enough for powder. Update: bristles are shedding; consider getting one of SK's better blush brushes before getting this one.
