*I have the formula with vitamin C* I really don't do much with my skin, and at 36 (having been a major sun worshipper, suffered acne as a teen, and practically being born with freckles) I know I need to start! I generally wear a moisturizer in the morning (Wrinkle Release), but that is it. Lately, I haven't even been moisturizing :( I have been using this at night for four days and I swear I already see a difference! My lines seem softer, my skin is definitely more even, and I swear the shadowing around my eyes isn't as noticeable! I use two pumps of the lotion (i bet one would do the job), and apply after washing my face. There is a strong (yet pleasant) scent, but I tend to "taste" it awhile since I apply it around my lips. My skin is instantly softer and glows. I haven't experienced any tingling, flaking or drying, and my face doesn't even need a moisturizer in the morning! Already loving this after four days??? I'm sold! Definitely gonna keep up with this!!!

Styling Products -Suave - Professionals Extra Hold Non-Aerosol Hairspray

Sorry to ruin reviews for this. Thought I stumbled onto a great hairspray, but no. Smell is great, hold is okay, but I applied a tiny bit and had white flakes on my freshly washed hair. Not cute on super dark hair!!! Instantly threw the bottle in the trash. Sticking with TreSemme until I find my HG!

Concealers -Sonia Kashuk - Hidden Agenda Concealer Kit

So I'm here on MUA, looking for a concealer to hide the dark shadows on my nose/eyes. DUH?!!! Never tried my Hidden Agenda! Unlike the prior review, I find this palette amazing at covering blemishes!!! Blend a couple colors with a brush, dab on, pat with your finger..voila! I periodically get a cyst or massive zit, and this thing is a lifesaver! This is embarrassing, but I host Thanksgiving and last year, the night before, I "accidentally" got a hickey (childish, I know), and I panicked. This thing totally covered it, and stayed throughout the day! Because I love this for bemishes, I never thought to try for dark shadows..gonna do it tomorrow!

Hair Color -Wella - Color Charm Demi-Permanent Hair Color

Yet again, MUA was right! With some help from a fellow MUAer (thanks kikuchijones!), I decided to dye my own hair with this! I've used permanent box colors in the past, but have been professionally colored for a couple of years....what a pain paying that money and that tip every 4-6 weeks! I was a bit confused with the whole "developer, volume, ratio" talk, so I think that's why I was hesitant. I have dark brown hair and a few grays...and my hair grows like a weed. Went to Sally's and bought a tube of color 5N (light natural brown), the smaller bottle of the activator (if you read the bottles, it tells you what activator goes with what color (ie, permanent, demi, etc), some gloves, and a mixing bottle (prefer this over a brush...I think :) I also bought the pre-dying spray from Ion (I think it's Ion..purple bottle). Sprayed that on my dry hair, dumped half the bottle of activator in the mixing bottle (I think it was 4oz), and squeezed the entire tube in (2oz, I think). Shook, and applied to my roots and about 3in down. After about 20m I took the color through, but stopped at the ends (my ends really absorb color). Waited another 5m then got into the shower- added some water to my hair and massaged, then rinsed. Then shampooed with a light shampoo and used a heavy conditioner. I love the smell of this dye- it's strong, but NOTHING like the usual smell of dye. No staining on my face or in the shower. Blowdried my hair and it looked just like it did before I dyed- only refreshed and very natural! Healthy, and just normal! I mixed too much color, but since it was my first time, I was just learning. I might get creative down the road and mix a little clear in with the dye, or add a darker/warmer brown in, but this is perfect. Dark brown hair with no real undertones = 5N (light natural brown). For the price, which was nothing, this is amazing. Won't be dying in the salon again!!!

Oh thank you MUA app for helping me pick this out!!!! I've been dying to go tanning, and at 36, I know better. But I've REALLY been contemplating a tanning package. Figured I'd try a self-tanner one more time. Regular self-tanners are too time consuming for me: wash,exfoliate, moisturize, watch your knees and elbows, scrub your hands, wait to put on clothing..... I figured I'd give this a try after reading some reviews. OMG I'm soo happy!!!! Got this at Ulta for $10 (had a coupon, though) and the price is a bit steep, but this is totally worth it! Last night, spur of the moment, I THREW this on. Didn't shower. Didn't exfoliate. Didn't spend too much time doing it. Put it on like normal lotion, just made sure to get my back as well as I could. There is a slight self-tanner smell to it, but NOTHING like all the others. The lotion absorbed quickly and I was dressed in about 10 minutes. Went to bed, and could smell it, but it wasn't atroceous. This morning I forgot about it, looked in the mirror, and was STUNNED. I'm golden! Looks like I have a nice "week old" tan. Put more on this morning after I showered (again, it was a quick lather) and I'm sitting here in shock. I'm very moisturized- didn't even use my usual body lotion. FAINT smell, but again, it's not awful. My color looks really good, and after a day and a half, I can't wait to see what I look like in a few more days! I will admit, there is one spot on my wrist that is obvious, but that is because I scrubbed the heck out of my hands after using....and you can tell where I stopped! I will now use a sponge and apply some to my hands after washing. This stuff is great!!! Forget the Fake Bake, L'Oreal Bronzer, Banana Boat, all that stuff- this is fast and easy and looks natural! Sooo glad I bought it!

I was soo shocked to not see stellar reviews on this polish! I wear this polish on my toes ALL summer and get soo many compliments! The color is not sheer(?)- two coats (sometimes three) and it's super pigmented! Lasts a long time without chipping, and I love that I don't need a base or top coat with this. The color fades to a dull pink in chlorine (during my Vegas vacation, a large chunk of my day is spent in the pool), but it's still a good color. Looking forward to warmer weather so I can pull this polish out!

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Mitchum Advanced Control

FINALLY!!!! I can stop investing in deodorant experiments!!! This stuff WORKS. It's a solid, but dries clear- I've yet to find any white reside on clothing. I bought this is Powder Fresh and it smells VERY soapy on, but fades as time goes on. Put it on at 7am, and after the gym at 8pm, still no BO! Most deodorants (especially fruitty or floral ones) mix with my chemicals and leave me smelling FOUL. This does not. Not wetness, no residue, no bad odor....LOVE IT!!!!!! (The only issue I have is that when I take the lid off, once in awhile deodorant balls fall out! I can live with that, though)

Styling Products -Kerastase - Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide

This is the closest thing I've found for what I think a serum should be! The glass bottle is HEAVY and it dispenses a ton of watery serum...a little goes a long way! After my hair is styled, I run this through. WOW! My hair is shinier, and it's soo bouncy and "swingy"!! Smoothes and settles the hair. I've used this daily, and don't notice any buildup, and it does not make my hair greasy at all. $42 is steep, but it's good stuff!!!! I'll probably buy it again!

Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Length Fiber Extensions

Hate to bring this rating down, but here goes. I usually find a mascara I love, and stick to it. But after seeing this in Ulta, and reading all the reviews, I eagerly grabbed one. The brush is big and goopy- not a mascara you can "toss on" and go. I know this is strictly a lengthening mascara, but it really isn't that great. My lashes were longer, but they still seemed spidery..even when used with a lash comb. I managed to get mascara dots on my eyelids, and that really never happens with other ones. Maybe I just prefer volume over length(?), but I think Lash Perfection is 100x better than this. Sadly, I won't be using this anymore.

Another hit with Kerastase!!! I have thick, dry, hair with a mind of its own- some strands are poker straight, some are curly, some wave...HAVE to heat style if I want to be happy with my 'do. I've always loved NT and CT...have tried several products, too. I thought the Elixir would be HG, but I really didn't care for that. THIS, however...JUST what I needed! After blowdrying (with NT) I put one full pump of this into my hair. I do the ends, but make sure I get the product up the hair to about 3 inches below my crown. Instantly, my hair is smoother and silkier. After heat styling (I straighten with a big barrel curling iron), the flyaways that used to plague me are gone! Super smooth hair, that I thought wasn't possible for me. This stuff is expensive, but it's worth it! The smell is typical KS....and it fades quickly. I will definitely purchase again, as this is a new staple!

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser [DISCONTINUED]

I don't even try other cleansers now, since I always come back to Genesis! This stuff easily takes off my makeup, rinses clean, does not dry me out, and generally does what it is supposed to do. It definitely tightens the skin some (to reduce pores?), but I do not think it's drying. I have skin prone to breakouts, and this helps me, for sure. I've used all types of Neutrogena, Biore, Olay, and higher end cleansers, and this is my fave! Unfortunately, I've been having a hard time finding it in stores and may have to order online. Love it!

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Ban Invisible Solid Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant

Well, well, well...I've found something to keep odor away! Love this stuff! No matter what scented deodorant I get, it mixes with my body and smells awful...like I'm trying to mask B.O.! This (in unscented) is perfect! Just put a little on and it really lasts all day! No sweating, no smell. Sometimes I'll get a little white on my clothing, but it doesn't flake or leave marks on the armpit of sleeveless clothing. For some reason, my Certain-Dri isn't working well, so I just quit using it. This is a great replacement! Will definitely purchase again and again!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara

LOVE this mascara!!!! I had been using LashBlast, and really liked that, but had noticed a bit of flaking and smudging later in the day. Tried a few other mascaras (Prestige, other CG, Maybelline...) and liked nothing. Saw this one and swooped it up for $4.99 at Ulta. OMG I am soo happy I got it! Little to no clumps when using this- I don't need a mascara comb. I can layer it on to make really dramatic looking lashes, without looking clumpy or ridiculous! Holds a curl fairly well. NO clumping, no smudging, no flaking, no irritation to contacts! I will definitely be purchasing this again!

Powder -Maybelline - PureStay Powder Foundation

LOVE this powder foundation! I was an avid PX AnyWear user, but after having it discontinued, I tried many different products, and nothing made me happy. I was using Palladio, but that tends to get cakey and makes me look a bit "ghostly" and washed up. Tried PureStay and fell in love! I know there are only a few shades to choose from, but something will work for you! I use the lightest one in winter (I'm maybe a NC10-15?) and upped it to the 3rd one (Nude?) in summer. I use a kabuki, and my skin looks amazing! No liquid foundation, no primer...just my usual moisturizer! Skin instantly looks better, glows, and you look brightened! Aside from my constant shiny nose, I don't need to touch up my face during the day. I will, however, add more product before going out in the evening. This stuff doesn't break me out, lasts during the day, looks natural, and coverage can be built up without being cakey. Love this product, and will definitely keep buying!

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Moisture

I have been using this moisturizer for about 3 weeks and am very impressed so far! At first, I was skeptical. The product doesn't seem very moisturizing, and I replaced my usual Oil of Olay with this. I have no desire to use several different products on my face, so just wanted one good moisturizer before makeup. Although I don't feel instantly hydrated after using this, makeup goes on smoothly and there is no drying. My skin is DEFINITELY more balanced now!!! Pores on nose and cheeks are smaller, my oily nose is nowhere near as shiny as normal, and I swear the lines around my mouth aren't as deep! I don't seem to get this stuff close enough to my eyes, but I'm gonna work on that! I purchased this with the spf (20?), and when I'm in the sun, my face is protected fairly well. I still get a bit of color (without using another sunscreen), but my face doesn't burn or get tight. I'm really impressed with this product and will be purchasing again.
