Cleansers -Queen Helene - Queen Helene Whipped Cleansing Cream

So far I really like this stuff. It gets my make up off really well and has my skin feeling sooo soft. I use a wash cloth to wipe it off, so no biggie. I don't feel like it leaves lots of gross residue, more like I just moisturized. It's a nice feeling before bedtime. Even my hands are softer from massaging this into my face, haha. I have SUPER sensitive eyes and this stuff does not bother them.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Spiking Freeze Spray
Jenni4Design 5/2/2010 12:09:00 AM
For the money and the rave reviews I've heard about this stuff, I just do NOT like it. The nozzle gets gunked up easily and shoots hair spray right into your eyes if you're not careful. When it actually does go on my hair it makes my hair greasy and heavy. Also for a "Freeze" hair spay it sure takes a long time for it to actually dry and "freeze" the style. Plus for me it did not last very long either (maybe 30 min) , probably because it weighed my hair down so much, BOO :( Very disappointed. For my money next time I'll buy more of Aussie's Freeze Spray which for me really gets the job done, and that's holding up my mohawk all day long!

Styling Products -Aussie - Instant Freeze spray

I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I recently got a mohawk and have been searching for products to keep it up all day, and this stuff with a little Beyond the Zone Spike It Cement can keep me looking good for days! I love this WAY better than Got2B Glued Freeze Spray. That stuff just gunks up my hair and does NOT hold all day. Plus the nozzle keeps stopping up, ugh, and for more money than the Aussie Freeze spray, joy. Aussies Freeze Spray is cheap and works great, dries quickly like a freeze hair spray should and holds all day!

I love this stuff! I have a mohawk, but don't want that hard, shiny, gel look. I want a soft matte, sexy, feminine look and this totally delivers. I put two pea sized amounts in damp hair, one one top and one in the back and blow dry into shape. I style it into the shape I want and then set it with some hairspray. I've had it last for 3 days with some touching up with a small amount of this and some more hairspray in the mornings(don't go longer than that w/o a shower, so who knows could last longer).

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - 1875 Ion Shine Hairdryer

Gets pretty hot. Very heavy. Seems to leave my hair poofy. I only dry my hair every two to three days, so I keep putting off buying a nicer dryer. But I've never been able to just dry my hair without flat ironing it to make it presentable. I know I need a new one ,but this one isn't so bad that I have to have a new dryer right NOW.

Concealers -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer

I really like this concealer it covers pimples and dark circles well and blends in to a natural looking finish. Haven't noticed it breaking me out or making blemishes worse and I've been using it for months.

Loose Powders -Palladio - Rice Powder
Jenni4Design 9/28/2008 11:43:00 PM
I have this in translucent. I've used this as both a primer and a setting powder and it does help my make up last all day. I prefer it as a setting powder though. Not a fan of the scent, but it fades quickly. Also it creates quite a mess because I apply it with a powder brush that's too big for the tiny container. Make even more of a mess than other mineral/loose powders I've used. All in all it is a good product for a very reasonable price but I'm not totally in love or anything. Probably won't repurchase. I have noticed it helps keep other make up for oxidizing and turning orange on you though, so that may tempt me to keep this in my beauy arsenal.

Concealers -Clinique - City Cover Compact concealer
Jenni4Design 9/28/2008 11:32:00 PM
I just got this a few days ago but so far I've been very pleased with this creamy concealer. I prefer to just pat it on with fingers because this is just the easiest way for me personally to apply concealer. This concealer looks great and seems to last well too. I've used it both under and over powder foundation and looks ine both ways. Covers my under eye circles and my lovely pregnancy acne pretty well. I have one bad pimple on my chin right now that this doesn't quite completely cover, but neither does any of my other concealers, so it's not just this one. But this concealer does significantly minimize it, more so than the other I think. :) UPDATE: I've been using this for about a year and am still on my first compact. AND I still really like it! It does a good job covering blemishes and redness. It also covers undereye circles but I prefer using Lancome' s Aquatique Waterproof EyeColour Base as it seems to last better and not settle into lines.

Styling Products -Redken - Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion
Jenni4Design 9/28/2008 10:06:00 PM
So far so good for this product. I got this to protect my hair and color while I blow-dry my hair. Leaves my hair soft, shiny, and smooth. Doesn't weigh my hair down. And I like to think/hope the protection extends to when I flat iron my hair. I use Redken's Fabricate to help hold and my hair looks great.

Styling Products -Redken - Fabricate
Jenni4Design 9/28/2008 9:51:00 PM
I use this when I flat iron for protection and light hold. Does great. Leaves my hair shiny and movable, not stiff/weird like my old heat protectant (FX Special Effects - Flat Iron Spray). For more hold, like on my bangs I just use a little bit of Aussie - Sidney Smooth - 12-Hour Anti-Humidity Hairspray and I'm good to go. My hair looks good for days using Fabricate. BTW I use this after blow drying my hair with Redken's Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion. My hair's been looking great.

Styling Products -Redken - Rewind styling paste
Jenni4Design 9/25/2008 1:29:00 AM
My mom loves this and has bought it multiple times. Her hair is thick (and she thinks coarse, but I'd say normal) and this works well to texturize her short layered style. She's pretty low maintenance and hates to blow dry, so the fact that she likes this stuff and uses it a lot means it must be good. She loves this and Redken's Rough Paste. Says Rough Paste is better for when the haircut it getting a little too long and unruly, and this one is better when fresh cut and the style needs less hold/manipulation.

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Synthetic Fiber Eye Liner Brush
Jenni4Design 9/25/2008 12:11:00 AM
I also got the the package where you get 2 brushes in one - the angled eye liner brush and the dome eye liner brush. I love these brushes especially the angled one! I bought these on my college student budget a few years back expecting to have to replace them when I got some more money, but so far they've been amazing and I'm so glad I tried these before more expensive brushes. I use the angled brush to apply eyeshadow (wet or dry) as eye liner and the domed one to apply shadow/highlighter under my eye. Lovely find!

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Eye Shadow Brush

I got a set with the domed eyeshadow brush and angled eyeshadow brush. I use these brushes (especially the domed brush) daily. I've had no problem with shedding or with the brushes losing shape when washed. I bought these on my college student budget a few years back fully expecting to have to replace them when I got some more money, but so far they've been amazing and I'm so glad I tried these before more expensive brushes.
