Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
JennaX 7/13/2011 7:08:00 PM
I tried the mini sample of this mascara and it's pretty good. Pros - lengthens, thickens, dark black color, formula coats every lash & great brush that separates lashes & gets lashes at inner eye. Cons - can get very clumpy and make lashes stick together, especially if putting on a second coat. All in all, a pretty good mascara with a new unique brush.

Blush -Make Up For Ever - Microfinish HD Blush - #5 Nip Slip
JennaX 5/29/2010 2:47:00 AM
A cream blush that comes in a small pump dispenser...and by small I mean about the height of a MAC lipstick. Fortunately, only a tiny bit is needed as it is so rich in color and highly pigmented...but with the pump dispenser it's a bit difficult to control the amount that comes out. The consistency is more of a thick liquid than a cream blush. The color is a beautiful warm true pink that would work well on a variety of skin tones because it can either be sheered out or layered for a more intense pop of color. This color would work on many different complexions. It is very long-lasting and very natural...it does not sit on top of cheeks, but rather looks like the color is coming from within. Overall, I am very impressed and plan on buying more colors.

Styling Products -Sebastian - Shaper Fierce
JennaX 5/29/2010 1:16:00 AM
Shaper Fierce holds much better than the original...at least for me because I have very thick, long, heavy hair. I really like the super fine mist and the fact that the spray nozzle doesn't clog up or get sticky... and it sprays clean every time. It gives my hair volume and hold without stickiness, dryness, dulling or flaking. I also like the sleek black bottle better than the original white one. Will buy again unless I find something better.

Styling Products -Sally Hershberger - Supreme Lift
JennaX 5/29/2010 1:09:00 AM
This product is actually pretty great for something you can buy at a drugstore for around $8-$9bucks. It is a liquid that you spray into roots and then blow dry. It gave me nice volume and shiny manageable hair without any stiffness, stickiness or flaking. I didn't experience any build-up but I will update if I do. Not "va va voom" volume but still pretty big hair. Great price and nice product. Will buy again.

Blush -Make Up For Ever - HD Blush #6
JennaX 3/31/2010 8:08:00 PM
A new cream blush that comes in a small pump dispenser. And by small I mean about the height of a MAC lipstick. Fortunately, only a tiny bit is needed as it is so rich in color and highly pigmented...but with the pump dispenser it's a bit difficult to control the amount that comes out. The consistency is more of a thick liquid than a cream blush. The color is a beautiful warm coral pink that would work well on a variety of skin tones because it can either be sheered out or layered for a more intense pop of color. This color would look gorgeous in the summer with a bronzer. In my opinion, this color looks very similar to MAC Ever Hip lipstick (Give Me Liberty of London collection) which is also a bright coral pink. It is very long-lasting and very natural...it does not sit on top of cheeks, but rather looks like the color is coming from within. Overall, I am very impressed and have bought another color...#5 Nip Slip (a warm pink)

Polishes -Essie - Tart Deco
JennaX 3/31/2010 7:36:00 PM
Tart Deco is part of a collection of pastel nail polishes released by Essie for the spring season. Tart Deco is a pastel peachy coral with a slight pink undertone. Non-streaky application and dries to a nice opaque shine with 2-3 coats. Beautiful fresh young color...great for the spring and summer. My only complaint is that any type of clear topcoat (Seche Vite, OPI, Sally Hansen) seems to change the color of the polish from a pastel coral to a flat orange.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Ever Hip
JennaX 3/30/2010 5:19:00 PM
This lipstick is a sheer but buildable peachy-coral pink that looks scary in the tube (almost didn't buy it) but looks so fresh and pretty on the lips. I have pigmented lips but this lipstick covers them nicely with 2-3 layers. The creamsheen formula & color looks natural on my warm dark tan complexion. Works great over various matte lipsticks and lipliners. And that beautiful packaging is a definite bonus!

Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes Iridescent Navy Blue 3L
JennaX 6/30/2009 6:39:00 PM
A very beautiful shiny iridescent navy blue color that really brings out hazel eyes and makes the whites of eyes look whiter and brighter. I'm sure the color would look equally gorgeous on brown or blue eyes. The consistency may not be as soft as the MUFE aqua eyes pencil in black but it is still pretty good with no skipping or smearing. It has excellent staying power for a pencil. Love the MUFE line!

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Indigo Ink
JennaX 4/2/2009 8:12:00 PM
Indigo Ink is a gorgeous dark smoky blue with a hints of grey, violet and teal. It is one of the more unique colors in the BB Gel Eyeliner line. I have hazel eyes and this color really brings out the green & the gold in them. I find it to be a great alternative to black, which tends to look harsh, especially during daytime. The consistency of the gel itself is smooth and buttery, not dry or hard like some of the other colors. I highly recommend this product and I would buy it again if I ever ran out.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Top Hat [DISCONTINUED]
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:37:00 AM
From the Starflash Collection. A very beautiful and highly pigmented "dirty indigo" that can show up more navy or deep purple depending on what other eyeshadows are paired with it. It blends like a dream and makes for a sultry and exotic smokey eye for night or it can be used sparingly for appropriate daytime looks. Highly recommend.

Polishes -MAC - Seasonal Peach
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:30:00 AM
I agree with all the negative reviews. I only bought this polish because of how it looked on the model in the promotional pictures. Unfortunately, it looks nothing like that in real life. Seasonal Peach is more of a pale milky chalky medium pink (the color of Nestle Quick Strawberry Milk, but not as pretty) It goes on streaky and has zero shimmer or shine. maybe with a couple of coats, this may look good on tan skintones. This is the biggest disappointment since Clay Aiken came out of the closet (yeah, right)

Polishes -MAC - Silverstruck
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:22:00 AM
This polish is a beautiful metallic taupe with a hint of rosey plum and a dash of silver. Very natural for everyday wear plus I think it is very office appropriate. However, it leans toward the neutral to cool end of the spectrum, so more than one coat of the polish tends to clash with my warm skintone...but it looks absolutely gorgeous on my mom, who is cool-toned with a darker complexion. It also lasted 10 days without chipping. Recommend.

Eyeliner -MAC - Spare Change Pearlglide Eye Liner
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:17:00 AM
Great eyeliner! The color is a bronzey copper (like a newly minted penny) with tons of golden shimmer (not glitter). It is soft and "glides" on the eye without tugging or skipping. It is super soft, smooth, blendable & smudgeable. But what I really like is that this eyeliner does not budge once it sets...it lasts all day on me, unlike MAC kohl liners. So, if you look the look of MAC's Kohl liners or Softsparkle pencils but hate the lasting power, try these new pearlglide eyeliners. I didn't give this a 5 just because the darker colors like Wolf & Black Russian show up better on my dark tan skintone. Highly recommend & would buy other colors in the line again.

Eyeliner -MAC - black russian
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:13:00 AM
Great eyeliner! This pencil liner reminds me of what MAC Black Tied eyeshadow looks like on me used wet. The color is a smoky pigmented black with tons of sparkly silver, green & pink shimmer (not glitter). It is soft and "glides" on the eye without tugging or skipping. It is super soft, smooth, blendable & smudgeable. But what I really like is that this eyeliner does not budge once it sets...it lasts all day on me, unlike MAC kohl liners. Eyeliner -MAC - Pearlglide Eye Liner in Wolf
JennaX 10/7/2008 12:06:00 AM
Great eyeliner! I agree that this pencil liner looks like MAC Smoke and Diamonds eyeshadow from the Starflash Collection. The color is a smoky taupey grey with golden shimmer. It is soft and "glides" on the eye without tugging or skipping. It is super soft, smooth, blendable & smudgeable. But what I really like is that this eyeliner does not budge once it sets...it lasts all day on me, unlike MAC kohl liners.
