Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - Silky Finish-Nice Knickers

Finally I found the perfect lip color for my upcoming wedding! Luckily I wasn't discouraged by the other reviews here. While I do agree this shade is beautiful and it leaves your lips soft, it does wear off quickly but not as quickly as most people claim. To me it'll last long enough to get me through the ceremony then I'll simply reapply for photos. I don't think I'd repurchase mainly bc I get bored with most items before I even use the first one up and also the staying power factor. (But then again I'm not one to enjoy makeup on my face all the time so the staying power isn't a huge factor for me. The fact it's moisturizing is more important to me.) I've also found Sephora's Pinup Lip Liner to be a very good match which keeps it from bleeding. It's a very bright, vibrant and healthy look. I'm pairing it with MAC's Pink Swoon Blush and Hard Candy's Rock N Roll Eyeshadow for my perfect day. (My wedding is purple.) I can't wait and hope I don't wear it out bc I have another 10 months to go. Can you tell I'm SO excited?!!) I do think this is the PERFECT pinky/berry bridal lip color and I recommend all brides to be to check it out :)

I am buying this again and I am ready to place an order! Is it just me or does it smell exactly like Victoria's Secret's Heavenly? Decent staying power too, at least on me.

Fragrances -Demeter - New Zealand

I like this and I found it to have incredible staying power on me! I think it's a unisex scent but a little more masculine than feminine. I usually buy the 1/2 oz mini splashes until I know what a Demeter scent is like before I commit to a larger one. That said I would definitely buy the 1 oz spray next time. And I have also found the mini splashes to last longer on me too. The scent is a nice clean outdoorsy refreshing smell. I have a friend in New Zealand so this is what I imagine him to smell like! UPDATE 2 1/2 YEARS LATER: My friend I talked of then, has now become my fiance <3. I have been to NZ and while at his mum's holiday home in the Bay of Islands, on a crisp winter eve, I stepped outside and I could smell this exact familiar scent! Of all the reviews here TRUST MINE! I've been to NZ a few times, I've smelled NZ, I'm marrying a native Kiwi, and this smells just like it! If you want to experience NZ without going there try it out. And while I'm in the US, I can smell this anytime and it takes me right back to that evening in the North Island <3 (Please note that any Kiwis reviewing this may not realize that this does in fact really smell like the lush green fields of NZ ~ hehe.)

Fragrance -Dolce & Gabbana - Dolce and Gabbana pour homme EDT

I discovered this scent from a woman who wore it. I'd of never known it was a man's fragrance otherwise. I can see how this could be a little too sweet for men but awesome for women, especially if you want a signature scent most other women don't have ;) This is unique so make it your own!

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil
rated 2 of 5
JennBard 11/28/2006 11:30:00 PM

Due to the light reflecting glow it gives I cannot use this at all. I personally need a truely matte powder b/c I have large pores and some chicken pox scars. Unfortunately the mineral veil only accentuates them and instead of giving me a flawless look, it only draws attention to my flaws. Not intended w/girls w/skin problems similar to mine :(

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
rated 2 of 5
JennBard 11/28/2006 11:27:00 PM

Way too dark no matter how tan I am or how little I use. As w/the foundation and mineral veil I cannot use something this shimmery b/c I have large pores and some chicken pox scars on my face. It only accentuates them and makes me look super shiney. I am considering this as a crease e/s shade so hopefully that'll work better for me.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Well Rested
rated 4 of 5
JennBard 11/28/2006 11:24:00 PM

I can't use BE foundations or mineral veil due to large chicken pox scars and large pores which they accentuate but I can use the concealer for a flawless complection! I wanted so badly for this line to work for me and the concealer is absolutely a miracle. It hides every flaw completely, reduces any redness, helps to fill in my scars, blends well and easily in my face plus it has super duty staying power. By far the best concealer I've ever used!

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
rated 4 of 5
JennBard 11/28/2006 11:18:00 PM

Oh how I wanted to this to work for me but it just doesn't. It's perfect and easy to apply, not drying or anything. Problem is that it will not work for us girls w/large pores and/or acne/chicken pox scars. It only accentuates them and makes the complection appear even worse than it actually is. If I had smoother skin this would've definately been a HG foundation but I have a few large chicken pox scars on my face and large pores :( Luckily I can use the mineral concealers :)

Eyeliner -Stila - Stila Smudge Pots in Gray
rated 3 of 5
JennBard 10/27/2006 4:35:00 PM

I might of given this a second thought if I hadn't of tried MAC Fluidline first. Now that I have something to compare smudgepots to, I can honestly say that there are way better gel liners out there for a fraction of the price. Gray went on a little darker than it appeared in the pot and that was the best part b/c it turned out as a nice soft black. Heaven forbid I actually try black! Anyway, it was thicker in consistency than Fluidline and it didn't go on smoothly at all. Fluidline glides right on, Smudgepot should be called clump pot! I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep mine as a back up to my fluidline but I definately will not be buying more in any color.

Blush -MAC - Shimmersweet
rated 2 of 5
JennBard 10/27/2006 4:29:00 PM

RIS and it was a huge disappointment. That's what I get for swapping for an item I haven't seen in person yet! There is no way this could be remotely considered a blush. It's a sheer pinky lavender highlighter that left barely any color but an overwhelming about of shimmer on my face. So much so I looked bruised. Awful as a blusher but maybe with the right matte blush this could really accentuate your look. Definately NOT for anyone with a warm complexion.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Pinch Me
rated 1 of 5
JennBard 10/26/2006 12:34:00 PM

RIS and up for swap it went again! Augh, just awful. I can't even think of anyone this would be flattering to. It was like a red orange that went on just as dark. I would like to try Foolish Me which sounds to be the opposite according to it's reviews. It makes your cheeks look like someone pinched them and held on for about 5 minutes producing a bruise. Definately STAY AWAY from this one. (Swapped it for Plum Foolery and couldn't of been happier!)

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Plum Foolery
rated 4 of 5
JennBard 10/26/2006 12:27:00 PM

I swapped my Pinch Me for this not even knowing what I was getting but I was desperate to fill my palettes. I was a little skeptical looking at it but I turned out highly impressed after trying it on. It was depotted and put into my palette, in other words it's a keeper! It reminds me of NARS Sin but not as bold. A beautiful pinky plum w/shimmer. Great for highlighting the cheekbones and it gives a beautiful contrast to Pink Swoon. My coloring is warm and I thought this was definately a shade for cool girls only but I highly suggest it for all skintones!

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - Pores No More
rated 5 of 5
JennBard 10/5/2006 6:58:00 PM

This is my holy grail skincare product. It's very expensive at $45 for a primer but that's the price I'm happy to pay for flawless skin. I use this in addition to the Poreless Cleanser, Toner, and Gel. It is slightly tinted which evens out my skintone nearly 100%. In fact, I finally get to use sheer foundations and almost always get to skip concealer. A miracle product! It's consistency is light and leaves your skin matte and soft at the same time. Not at all drying. I do notice it doesn't have extremely long staying power but the evening of my skintone alone is well worth it!

Skincare - Face -Dr. Brandt - Poreless Tone
rated 4 of 5
JennBard 10/5/2006 6:52:00 PM

I must be the only one who found this to be a top of the line toner. I know there aren't any special ingredients in it but it's very gentle and it works for me. I use it with the Poreless Cleanser, Gel, and Pores No More which has finally given me the glowing skin that Pro-Activ, Clinique, Lauder, Neutrogena, L'Oreal, Acne Free, and Murad didn't.

Moisturizers -Dr. Brandt - spf 30 bronze barrier face
rated 2 of 5
JennBard 10/5/2006 6:49:00 PM

As a huge fan of Dr. Brandt, I'm dumbfounded that he would make a product like this. It does have more of an orange tint than bronze plus it's horrible for us with acne prone/oily skin. I HIGHLY recommend Pores No More instead.
