Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
Jenlovesmac03 5/7/2012 11:24:00 AM
This is one of the best setting powders I've used. At first I was a little skeptical when purchasing it because it is a white powder and I thought it would leave a white cast on my face and it doesn't. It works great and I have no need for touch ups during the day. My only complaint is the sifter packaging, its very easy to make a mess of this, but I have the travel size and it will last me for ages.
Highlighters -Guerlain - Les Meteorites balls powder

I was lucky enough to receive these in a swap cuz I honestly could not dish out $59 for a high lighter. These are very pretty and have a lovely scent to them. I use these as a cheek highlighter as I don't really like to use all over my face, they give a nice sheen highlight, not amazing when compared to other highlighters especially with the price tag that comes with these but I will continue to use until I run out, def a lovely product.
I use this as a setting powder over my tm and it works great. It never makes me look powdery or cakey, has good coverage and seems to hold up well throughout the day. I don't think I would wear this in the hot summer months though for fear of slipping off my face or totally disappearing. Usually Mac foundations break me out but this powder has not so I will continue to use, I wouldn't say it's HG status I keep using it so I don't waste the product. Not sure if I would re-purchase, we'll see.
Love this concealer! Especially for my under eye area, I don't have much bags or darkness under my eyes but I love wearing this on days I want to achieve a more awake look and it works great, I have no problems with it creasing or caking on me, I always do set it with a setting powder to avoid any possible creasing and it works fine for me, I have this in the sample size and it has lasted me quite a while, the price for the full size is a bit pricey but I think I would purchase this in full size once I run out.
Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
Jenlovesmac03 5/4/2012 1:25:00 PM
I am really really into highlighters this spring/summer, I love a nice glowey look and I achieve that very well with this highlighter, it has become a staple in my collection! Mac's MSF's are a little pricey but are worth it, I can see this lasting me a long time. It's not chunky glittery or anything over done, I wear this over blush and it gives me a fresh radiant look which I adore! This is LE so if you can get your hands on one I say go for it!
I was lucky enough to receive this in a swap and OMG I really don't know how I ever lived without this! I use it 3-4 times a week at night with a sensitive brush head and I can't believe how much makeup and stuff comes off my face, I always thought just using make up remover wipes and washing your face was suffice but this really does an amazing job at really polishing my face. I use the Benefit skin care line with this and I can't believe how refreshingly clean and smooth my face looks and feel. If I had to dish out the money for a Mia I def would because it's so worth it, it's like getting your own facial at home, I can't ever live without it now!
Tinted Moisturizer -NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

When I heard Nars was coming out with a tinted moisturizer I was initially gonna pass on it, I've used Laura Maurcier TM in the warm spring/summer months since foundation is so heavy and has too much coverage, so while I was in Sephora a few weeks ago and have heard the rave reviews I got curious about this and ended up purchasing the shade St. Mortiz and it is a perfect match for my skin tone. I also think its very good at covering the redness in my face and it doesn't feel heavy at all, it looks like I have no make up on which I really love. Yes it is on the pricey side but all Nars products are, and if there a good product I think its totally worth it, and this is one of those products-worth every penny IMO. I've worn this up to 10 hours a day and by the end of the day yes I'm a little oily but nothing crazy. I am very impressed with this product and I will def re-purchase this once i'm out.
Love this product! I have it in light peach. On days i'm really tired and look like a zombie I swipe a small amount of this under my eyes and set it and it brightens my under eye area very well and I look very well rested. I have no problems with it drying out or accentuating lines, Love the packaging of it and it brings a little mirror built in, I will def re-purchase as this is a must have in my collection!
There's not too much more that can be said here about these lip butters that hasn't been said, I own the color Cotton Candy and would like to get my hands on a few more, these have been compared to the L'oreal Riche lip balms except these actually have a pop of color in them, I love cotton candy because it's not overly pigmented but just the right amount of pink, and it's so moisturizing, doesn't dry out my lips, the color does fade a bit after a while but that's ok, these are greatly priced and I would def re-purchase.
L'oreal totally copied Revlon with these lip balms, these are pretty good for the money! I like these as well as the Revlon lip butters, anywho I purchased this lip balm in Nourished Nude, which is supposed to be a light shade which is what I'm into, I thought it would have some color to it even a small amount but it doesn't it makes your lips shiny and hydrates them, I don't mind that there's no color to it I'm content and for the price you can't go wrong, plus it lasts long and doesn't dry my lips out. I am still on the fence about purchasing a few more since there's no color to them..
I've used a few dry shampoos in the past that haven't been great at all, until I got a hold of this baby, def one of the best dry shampoos out there, I wash my hair every other day or so (my hairs too thin and limp to wash every day) so I use this in between washes and it doesn't leave my hair greasy or give you that dandruff nasty look. I think they could of made the bottle a little bigger cuz this costs about $8.00 but it's still worth the price and I'll def re-purchase, the tropical one also smells very nice.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

Great product for the price. I used to use UDPP and found that as good as that is it would still crease on me on occasion, I love the tube packaging that this comes in, so easy to use and has great staying power, will def re-purchase!
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
Jenlovesmac03 1/26/2012 4:32:00 PM
I am always on the hunt to try new foundations and try out different coverages and such, well I got this foundation about 2 months ago, and it is honestly one of the best foundations I've used. I can't use Mac foundations because all they do is break me out and irritate my skin, so I decided to give this a try also surrounded by all the hype, I got matched with color 155 and it's the perfect shade for my skintone, comes in a nice bottle with a pump which is a huge plus. I apply this best with a flat top brush and get a really nice matte finish, I have oily combo skin and I don't need to touch up during the day, I've even worn this for over 10 hours and it still looks great. It is ridiciculously priced but when its a really good product why not?? I think it's worth it! Best part is the husband doesn't even notice I have this on and always compliments on how great my skin looks;)
Def a staple in my skincare routine. This moisturizer makes my skin feel clean, shiny and soft esp in the winter months. Yes it is pricey for the amount you get ($23) for a small tub but well worth every penny, I've had mine since last August and still have alot of product left. You only need a dime size amount with this, it has a soft smell to it as well so it's not over powering and does not make me break out. Will def keep re-purchasing this!
New HG Mascara! OOH Emmm Geee! I have very few sparse thin eye lashes especially my lower lashes which before this I usually never even bothered with cuz its too much work and just plain annoying, but with this mascara diff story! When I was originally going to purchase this I was torn between this and Smokey lash by MUFE, even the Sephora rep said Benefit hands down the best and he was right! I wouldn't say this mascara gives me a false eyelash effect, which is ok cuz I'm not really into that but it def builds, volumizes and separates all my lashes, you have to read the directions on it too b/c there is a diff method of applying it which is awesome, I wear this every single day since I got it, and I love the packaging tube it comes in, very stylish. The only bad thing I can say about this is it is very hard to take off, I scrub and scrub with eye make up remover till it comes off, other than that I will def re-purchase this baby!
