Loose Powders -Cover Girl - Professional Loose Powder
JenJenofAz 4/29/2013 6:13:00 PM
Lid sucks! Anyway, just HAD to replace that hideous yellow stuff, that L.A. Colors calls "light" loose powder! YUCKO!!! This powder is just the right "light" color and it goes on smooth, lasting all day long! LOVIN' it so far! But, I don't get any sparkles or glitter at all! And, I guess I'm in the minority on that, as I sure wouldn't mind a bit of it! Oh, well! It works better than most loose powders, so I ain't complainin'! I don't use the puff that comes with this. I prefer a brush. Also, I get a slight Noxzema-like odor from this, but it isn't bad at all. I don't smell it at all once it's been applied. GREAT stuff!

Concealers -Physicians Formula - gentle Cover concealer(light)
JenJenofAz 4/29/2013 5:46:00 PM
Hmmmmmmmmmm.......I think it'd work better, for me, if it wasn't a sheer or light coverage. It does work well, if it's anything minor, but for anything else, I'd look for something else. I do think it is one of the better stick concealers out there, as I like that it is buildable and creamy. It's easy to blend into my skin. Works the best around my eye area. So, I really use it as an eye brightener rather than a concealer. Also, I don't do much blending, when using this, as it doesn't cover well, I tap it on with a concealer brush. This works out better.

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Gentle Cover Concealer Stick (Yellow)
JenJenofAz 4/29/2013 5:40:00 PM
So far, I really like this for dark circles that are in the corner of my eyes. It's sheer, which I like, as I don't need much. Stays on well, too. I don't really blend, I tap it with a concealer brush. I hated my L.A. Colors light loose powder, because I think it's a bit too yellow, well, I now use it along with this yellow concealer and together, they work GREAT! Can't tell I have dark circles anymore! Anyway, it's a creamy formula so it is easy to apply. It's also easily buildable. Great drugstore find.

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Gentle Cover Concealer(green)
JenJenofAz 4/29/2013 5:35:00 PM
Covers quite well! I use this green concealer mainly for acne and so far, it's great! Covers the redness well! It's a nice creamy formula, so it blends into skin quite easily. Also, I do think it is a bit sheer, but has buildable coverage. GREAT drugstore find.

Loose Powders -L.A. Colors - Professional Series Loose Powder
JenJenofAz 3/4/2013 10:48:00 PM
ORANGE someone mentioned? YEP! I bought this in "light" and it isn't light, but a medium! I'm light and this goes on as if it were a bronzer! I LOVE the formula, as it really does great at covering and controlling my oily skin, but the YELLOW/ORANGENESS of this product is a bit TOO much! Even fake looking a bit! I almost laughed when I first saw it! I mean, I can pull it off, since I do like a sunkissed glow look, but this isn't meant for light skin! More for light-medium really! I posted a couple of pics, so have a look at it for yourselves! It applies evenly and smoothly, so it isn't a bad powder, just the shade needs some work! NO ONE can be that yellow/orange, can they??? Seriously, "light" comes off as a light gold powder!

Lipstick -Jordana - Lipstick
JenJenofAz 3/4/2013 10:39:00 PM
Yes, I'd buy again, but you do NEED to top these lipsticks with a good gloss, or they'll dry your lips out as bad as prunes! NOT joking! They are VERY drying, and I'm not talking about Jordana's Matte lipsticks! These regular lipsticks, @$1.30 each, are like a matte lipstick though! I bought 3 in the shades: All Spicy, Mango, and Sea Pearl, as I saw pics of them online. I thought they were flattering colors, and so they are! I posted pics of them on my profile. So, if you want to see them, hit my pictures! I found them hard to apply as they were stiff and so applied unevenly, even waxy, like a box of Crayola crayons! However, they ARE long lasting, and that was even with a gloss on top! NOT BAD! And yes, they are sweetly scented, but that doesn't bother me, even though it does linger, it isn't strong. I smeared a bit on white paper, as a swatch, and the next day, I could smell them, as if they were "scratch n' sniff" stickers! Anyway, All Spicy is a pinkish-coral, more on the pink side, which is shocking a bit, as it looked a bit pinkish-orange in the tube. I like it. Again, it was a bit hard to apply, so at first it went on light and sheer. Gotta really work it on your lips! All Spicy also has a soft pearly sheen to it. NOT glittery! Mango is a light copper-burnt orange shade. This one I like the least, as it isn't very flattering on. When I mix it with All Spicy, it works out a bit better. Probably because I think Mango leans more toward the burnt orange shade than a light copper. I didn't notice any pearly sheen. Sea Pearl is a copper shade with a slight sheen to it. Maybe even considered brassy. Anyway, don't forget the LIP GLOSS! I tried these on and then took them off, and my lips felt chapped! NO JOKE! Wish they were moisturizing! I also found that, even though Sea Pearl was the darkest in the tube, it seems to apply more sheer than the other two. My least fav, Mango, applies the darkest. I found some awesome lipsticks @Dollar Tree, from L.A. Colors! Those are NICE! And moisturizing! Gosh! I'm so disappointed in my recent Cherry Culture haul! Everything was CHEAP CRAP! :( Seriously! I have better luck at my local Dollar Tree! Well, ya live n' learn I guess! Thank goodness everything was CHEAP! ;)

Blush -Jordana - Blush
JenJenofAz 3/4/2013 10:21:00 PM
These lil' pots of blush pack a punch for only $2.49! I purchased 3 of these blushes, from Jordana, in the shades: Sunlit Bronze, Bronze, and Coral Sandy Beach. I love them all! They aren't very powdery, so I didn't have any excess when I used these. The color is BIG! I mean, you don't need very much, so I can see these lasting awhile! I think they are also good used as eyeshadows as well! All three colors are flattering to most skin tones as well. I posted pics on my profile's "my pictures". Anyway, Sunlit Bronze is a peachy-light bronze. Gives a nice and subtle glow. I use this as an all over bronzer! Bronze is a dark bronze, so I don't see this working as a bronzer for the lighter skin tones, but I LOVE it as an eyeshadow! And Coral Sandy Beach is a coral-pink shade. Very nice and subtle on the cheeks. Again, I don't use A LOT. These blushes apply smoothly and evenly, lasting quite a long time! And I have oily skin! I found Bronze and Coral Sandy Beach to have a slight pearly sheen to them, whereas Sunlit Bronze was a flat color. All are very pretty!

Liquid -Jordana - Oil Free Liquid Foundation
JenJenofAz 3/4/2013 10:10:00 PM
I've tried NUMEROUS inexpensive foundations and thought they were all just OKAY, until now! I really prefer this foundation, from Jordana, over any other drugstore foundation. It covers well, even though it's a light coverage; it covers evenly and smoothly, controlling my very oily skin quite well! It's also quite long lasting as well! For only $1.99, this has proven to work so much better than all the others! Seriously, so cheap as this was, I really was expecting an epic fail! I'm light, and purchased the shade "beige". It is a tad too dark, but I find it looks like I have a slight sunkissed glow with this shade. Guess I should've ordered "natural" or "buff", but I do like the sunkissed glow look, so it isn't a BIG deal! I can pull it off! So, I think this shade would be great for light-medium skin. LOVIN' it so far! Anyway, to see a couple of pics, you'll have to go to my profile and view my pics, as I ran into problems trying to upload a pic! I have a pic of the bottle and a small swatch of the color. Also, I smear some foundation around/in the cap and use it as a concealer. Works GREAT!

Treatments -Avon - ANEW CLINICAL Resurfacing Expert Smoothing Fluid
JenJenofAz 3/1/2013 5:22:00 PM
LOVE! Got mine off of Ebay, along with the Texturizing Peel and Wrinkle Corrector, and my skin has never looked and felt better! I don't wear makeup much, only concealer and powder, and it's because I've used Avon's Anew Clinical line products. My skin is clear, smooth and glowing! LOVE the whole line! Anyway, I add just a drop of this fluid to the Wrinkle Corrector daily. I like how this serum feels-silky and smooth, not sticky, like a lot of serums that just sit there on your skin, doing, well, NOTHING really! This seems to sink in pretty good, leaving my skin so soft! LOVE!

Moisturizers -Avon - Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector
JenJenofAz 3/1/2013 5:17:00 PM
LOVE! I use this daily, with a drop of the Resurfacing Expert Smoothing Fluid, along with the pads, and my skin is so nice now! It's clear, smooth, and glowing! Pores look smaller! My skin just looks and feels healthy! I hardly wear any makeup, except for a concealer and powder, since using Avon's Anew Clinical line of products! Anyway, I got my jar off of Ebay and just absolutely LOVE it! I had been using Olay's Micro Sculpt Cream, but really didn't think it moisturized enough. And I couldn't use it everywhere because it would cause acne, especially in the chin area. I have NO problems with Avon's Wrinkle Corrector cream. Does what it says!

LOVE these pads! My skin is clear and glowing! I'm using less makeup these days, except for a bit of concealer and powder, thanks to Avon's Anew Clinical skincare products! Anyway, I only use a pad a week, so mine are gonna last me awhile! LOVE! Got my pads off of Ebay.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Dermasil Labs Dry Skin Treatment Original Lotion
JenJenofAz 1/7/2013 11:15:00 PM
Get mine at Dollar Tree and LOVE it! The best ever for my dry and itchy skin. And it's only a dollar!!!!!!!!!!! What's not to love? The scent is light and clean. I also saw some Dermasil face lotion for day and night, so I picked up both. LOVE them each! Nice scent and they keep my face moisturized! Really, for a cheap product, this works like it's something expensive! I also like the creamy petroleum jelly at the Dollar Tree. That works just as good!

Shampoo -Alberto Vo5 - Herbal Escapes - Pomegranate & Grapeseed Extract
JenJenofAz 1/7/2013 11:07:00 PM
Of course it smells nice, as do all the other ones from Alberto V05, but this, too, didn't do much but clean my hair. It still feels coarse, dry and brittle; but then, I really don't have much hope that anything will work miracles with my hair. Cleans well, almost like the clarifying kiwi lime set, which is my only favorite, as that DOES what it's says and it smells the best! The pomegranate is just an every day basic shampoo. I got my set at Dollar Tree.

Shampoo -Alberto Vo5 - Silky Experiences - Shea Cashmere Moisturizing Shampoo
JenJenofAz 1/7/2013 11:01:00 PM
Nice creamy vanilla smell, but that's about it, for me. Didn't moisturize enough. Almost felt like my kiwi-lime stuff, as if worked more like it was for clarifying rather than for moisturizing. Got my set at Dollar Tree, so nothing wasted, as I do like it. I need MORE moisture than this provides, but it's a decent set.
