Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Line Fan Brush
rated 4 of 5

This works good for removing fallout from under your eyes after applying loose pigments or glittery eyeshadows, but one lippie off for sometimes smudging darker pigments at the lashline. Its very soft and as fan brushes goes it holds up well. No need to repurchase as it will last me forever and doesnt get too dirty quickly.

Eye Primer -Hard Candy - Eyeshadow Primer
rated 3 of 5
JelliBelli247 1/30/2011 7:57:00 PM

This is just your average everyday workable primer. I have super duper oily lids and this works about as well as anything to hole the eyeshadows on all day. My shadows still crease after like ten minutes but my crease is so deep you cant really tell that without really looking. I like that it comes in a squeeze tube. No fighting like with udpp. One lippie off for the creasing factor and another lippie off for the fact that you can only get this in a pkg deal. EIther with a shadow or a mini set. would and have repurchased.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Angled Foundation Brush

Why is it that I can never get these brushes to work in the way they were intended? I think I am brush challanged LOL. No seriously though, I use this for a contour around the nose, a highlighter for my upper cheekbones, and as a concealer blending brush under my eyes, but I HATE it for foundation. I prefer to "buff" my foundation in I guess. Well made and versitile, everyone should have this in their makeup bags. One lippie off for being an awful foundation brush. Would repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Brush
rated 4 of 5

<3 this brush for contouring, hate this brush for blush. I find that its small enough for me to contour well in about every area except for around my nose. THe reason I dont feel like this is a good brush for blush is that its almost too dense and picks up some lotta color LOL. Everytime I try it that way I get clown cheeks. For some reason it just works for me better as a nice contour brush when used with NYC smooth skin matte bronzer in sunny. Rawr, its still an awesome brush even if I dont used it for blush hehe. One lippie off for the feral not being very stable on the brush though. I may have to reglue at some point, or toss and repurchase, which I will do for an extra anyways.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Kabuki
rated 2 of 5
JelliBelli247 1/30/2011 7:06:00 PM

This sad little buki now sits unloved in my brush collection. It has no real density and so serves no real purpose imo except to sweep away any fallout under my eyes. It is two toned, as in dark fibers and then lighter fibers almost like a skunk brush. Because the handle is "pressed together" pieces of bamboo I am quite afraid to wash it, as it might seperate the bits of the handle. I'm giveing it one lippie for the comfort of the handle and one lippie for being soft. Other then that I was unimpressed by this brush. I usually love ecotools brushes but the last few purchases have been somewhat of a let down. WOuld not repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Alicia Silverstone 5-piece Brush Set
rated 3 of 5
JelliBelli247 1/30/2011 6:57:00 PM

These brushes are some of the softest I have ever run into. I just want to snuggle up next to them LOL. THat being said, the "skunk" brush isnt dense enough to buff in any mineral makeup or liquid foundation and did nothing for any type of blush either. It's nice to look at but lacking in function IMO. This was the brush I was most hoping to enjoy, but it now sits unloved. The blush brush that is in this is nice, dense enough and just the perfect size to sweep blush onto the apples of my cheeks, but would not make a good contouring brush imo I prefer an angled brush for that. The eye brush that comes with this is dense and angled. It makes a very nice blending brush for the crease line. I dont see this as being able to have enough control to apply a color to the lid, but might provide a decent "wash" of color all over the eye if desired. The last brush in this pkg is the eye brow brush and it serves its purpose. The bag has two compartments, one to hold makeup and one for the brushes. It is of good construction, well made and quite pretty. The ferals are nice and solid, and well made handles make these brushes a must have for the beginning makeup enthusiast. For being such a good price I think these are good brushes over all, but I was quite put off by the first brush and a bit by the eye brush, so two lippies off for disappointment in that dept. I wouldn't repurchase for that reason.

Lips -L'Oreal - Volume perfect re-shaping lipcolor
rated 2 of 5
JelliBelli247 1/6/2011 12:41:00 PM

Meh. This is a two ended lipcolor in 100 Pink Pucker. It has a "base" side you apply first and let set for one minute before you apply the color. I gave this two lippies. One for being moisturizing and one for a pretty color in tube. Other then that this is a fail for me. The base did nothing to help the color stay in place. In fact the base made the color slide around even more. To the tune of feathering off my lips onto other areas. Not a great look if you ask me. No staying power at all. feathered out within 30 minutes of application. More like 15 minutes to be honest. The base does moisturize my lips, so on days where I just want a glossy no color I will wear it alone. It was the only use I could find for it. Without the base the color has no real payoff with out applying layers and layers of it. WOuld never purchase this or another color again.

Lips -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstain
rated 1 of 5
JelliBelli247 1/6/2011 12:33:00 PM

Nothing about this stain is good. It's super drying and doesnt stay on the lips for any length of time. The first time I applied the color(25 feelin rosy) was perfect, but in an hour had worn off completely.I did apply a clear over gloss but waited 5 minutes before I put that on to set stain. When I went to use it the next time it had NO color payoff at all. I've tried storing it marker end down, sideways and under to no avail. No color and dried up basically. Worthless. 8 bucks for a one shot stain is no deal to me.

Blush -Hard Candy - Blush Crush Baked Blush in Pin Up
rated 2 of 5
JelliBelli247 12/14/2010 11:49:00 PM

Lovely color, but mine doesnt appear to be as pigmented as I would like it to be. I find that i need to "dig" with my brush to get any color. Takes alot of work to get it on, and then it fades on me within an hour or so. Not worth the time.

Blush -Hard Candy - Blush Crush Baked Blush #127 Honeymoon
rated 3 of 5
JelliBelli247 12/14/2010 11:47:00 PM

Over all a decent product. Reasonably well pigmented. The problem is that it is SOOOOOO frosty that you feel like a disco ball even when you use it sparingly. Product applys smoothly and blends reasonably well. Another problem is lasting power. This is off my face in about an hour to an hour and one half so i end up applying lots and lots throughout the day. Price was ok but will not repurchase, as its too shimmery/glowy for me.

Lip Treatments -E.L.F. - Therapeutic conditioning balm
rated 2 of 5
JelliBelli247 12/14/2010 11:40:00 PM

Pros: Its very moisturizing and smells very nice. I have owned two now. CONS: It is SUPER SUPER soft and it melts at the drop of a hat. Putting it on warm lips even makes it smush. AWFUL LINGERING TASTE!! Cant stress that enough. Minutes and hours later you have this horrid fatty oily type substance stuck to your tongue and its just terrible. It does NOT matter if you dont lick your lips, it just naturally migrates in there on its own within a minute of applying it. two lippies for moisture and smell. Not even if this was the last balm on the face of the earth would I purchase it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shroom
rated 5 of 5
JelliBelli247 11/29/2010 9:57:00 PM

Loving this color. Its a soft peachy beige color with subtle shimmer. Its great as a color wash or as an underbrow highlight color for the eve. It applies evenly with out balling up or skipping on the lid. It is soft and creamy without being overly so. It's wonderful to wear when paired with the color woodwinked or bronze etc if you are heading to an evening holiday party or really anytime of year. I will repurchase for as long as they have the color.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
rated 5 of 5
JelliBelli247 11/29/2010 9:50:00 PM

A very pretty bronzy color. Its very shimmery and perfect for a night out! Soft and creamy without being overly so; it applies perfectly without chalkiness, balling up, or skipping. I would highly reccomend this for those winter nights when you are headed out to a party and want something simple but eyecatching. Especially if you pair it with Shroom and/or Mulch. Will def repurchase as long as they sell it.

Eyes -E.L.F. - 6 color Holiday palette in "Natural"
rated 3 of 5
JelliBelli247 11/29/2010 9:33:00 PM

Shimmery golden neutrals with some browns mixed in. Beautiful looking in the pan. When applied however they seem to melt away. If you use this palette I suggest using more then a primer as these really need a solid base to "stick" to your lid. They are soft and creamy. In fact they are way too creamy and soft. One swipe from my brush literally crushed two of the colors resulting in extreme shadow loss in the pan. They just crushed into nothingness :( The colors can be used when removed from the pkging and crushed into pigment jars. The shadows themselves are so nice it would be a waste not to. Also the packaging is pretty decent.
