First of all, before I begin to review, I would like to say that this business regarding the existence of three Tabaromes is nonsense! There is the original Tabarome that is sometimes referred to as the Vintage Tabarome, as it is part of the Vintage Creed Collection (as such it is available only in a huge 8.4 oz flacon) which was created in 1875, and contains notes of green tea, ambergris, pepper, and tobacco. THEN, in 2000, an updated version of Tabarome was created by master perfumer Olivier Creed. This new version (available in 30 mL, 75 mL, and 120 mL) contains notes of green tea, ginger, bergamot, and tobacco. Now that I have clarified that, I shall make my case for the Tabarome Millesime. This fragrance is, in a word, sublime. Its bouquet is reminiscent of a heady, DOCG red wine (imagine one of the finest Barolos or Brunellos available), coupled with tobacco which lends to it a smoky and sensuous base. This is one of the house of Creed's best (along with Bois du Portugal and Acier Aluminium). In short, do NOT hesitate to try it, just buy it when you see it!
