Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
rated 4 of 5

I have very mixed feelings about this product. It makes my skin feel very smooth but I have noticed that it makes me break out like I did when I was in HS! It does moisturize very well but it is not worth breaking out for that reason, I will not rebuy.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse SPF 20
rated 4 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 5/15/2010 6:33:00 AM

I found this moisturizer on sale for $9 and honestly, that was the only reason why I bought it. I was in search for a moisturizer and couldn't find a good enough one for my oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I didn't really expect much from this moisturizer but I ended up loving it. I have only been using it for about 4 days and I have seen a dramatic difference on my face. My cheeks, which have been bone dry for months, are finally smooth and my T-zone isn't shine free but the oil seems to be in control now. Nothing else has worked for me. The first day I bought it, i tried it only on one cheek and later asked my boyfriend to feel both my cheeks and tell me which one is softer. He told me that the one with this moisturizer was softer. Other moisturizers I've tried don't have lasting power. Usually the product gets absorbed into my skin and within a few hours my cheeks are dry again. Not with this one. I really like this product. It has a very subtle smell that disappears within seconds and it is very lightweight and doesn't leave a greasy feel on my face. The SPF is a very big plus as well. As far as the age reverse part of it, i am not too sure about. I haven't seen much of a change in face in that department but then again, i don't think I show signs of aging yet. The only downsize to this is the size. I feel that it is small for $20. Yes, i only paid for half of it since it was on sale but that's pretty pricey for how much you get. At least I think so. I haven't encountered any problems yet, but I will update if my opinion changes.

Cleansers -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Facial Makeup Remover Lotion
rated 1 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 5/15/2010 6:19:00 AM

I've been using marykay makeup remover for about 2 years now and I just recently run out of it. So one day I went to walmart and unintentionally ran into this makeup remover. It was on sale for about $6. Being that it is a Physician's Formula and a brand that I havent found many problems with, I said "why not?" and I bought it. It has a very creamy consistency which i'm not used to since the marykay makeup remover is a liquid makeup remover. The first thing that I noticed that was wrong was that when I pressed down on the pump, the product just shot straight across the room. Things like that don't ever really bother me and usually if the product is good, i am very forgiving about little flaws such as packaging. Well, i tried the product and my eyes instantly began to burn very bad and on top of that, it didn't even remove my makeup entirely. I wasn't even wearing waterproof mascara! It just formed a greasy racoon eye on me. I tried it again another day and it was the exact same thing. The product flew across the room, burned my eyes when I finally got some that didn't escape from me, and it didn't remove my makeup. I have never had such a problem with anything and I do not have sensitive skin so I don't know if the burning sensation is normal. I don't know why it would be considering that it is a makeup remover and it is used on the eyes. The smell is very bad as well. I mean, at least if it smelt decent, I could say something good about it, but I can't find anything good at all. Bottom line, it was a waste of my money and I am glad I did not pay full price though I wish I still had my $6. Bad experience and i wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
rated 3 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/25/2010 7:03:00 PM

I had such high expectation from this product. I have no clue why. Well, I was really let down. This liquid does not give me any coverage, in fact, i find that it makes my pores look bigger. I've used it four times and each time I hope it gets better but its doesnt. I shouldn't have wasted my money.. and I bought two of them! oh well. It happens. The only pros I find is the packaging. The pump is perfect and doesn't waste any of the product vs liquid foundations that don't have a pump. But the pump doesn't make the actual poduct better. so 1 lippy for Revlon Photoready liquid and no I wouldn't recommend. UPDATE: ok, so I've been giving this foundation more chances and I must admit, i have grown fond of it. It doesn't give great coverage but it does and Ok job and it actually does look good in pictures. So 3 lippies for this foudation. but I still wouldn't recommend because of the price. I just don't think its worth that much even though it is cheap compared to department store makeup.

Eye Shadow -mark - Winkstick Hook Up Eye Shadow Stick - Coy
rated 1 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 1:12:00 AM

I had very high hopes for this product. The color is very beautiful but it is far too light on my skin and it fades very easily. I was really upset but it happens. I wish I could've used that money to buy something better. Total waste for me.

Eye Shadow -LORAC - Jade
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 1:07:00 AM

This eyeshadow surprised me because I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. The color is great. On LORAC's website, it looks much more like a forest green. On my skin it looks very smoky. The green does show but it is not outstanding, which I think is perfect because this color matches almost anything. I use UDPP with this shadow so I'm not sure if it is long lasting, or its just my UDPP doing all the hard work but it does stay on all day and the color stays very rich and blends very well also. I would probably buy this eyeshadow again if its still on sale. Otherwise, I think I might look for a cheaper, bigger size. I'd recommend this to a friend only because the color is so complimenting and blends very well.

Blush -LORAC - Cheek Stamp - Pink Paradise
rated 3 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 1:00:00 AM

I bought this on sale for $4.99 on LORAC's website and I'm kind of glad I did. This is not a horrible blush. It is unique and cute but the packaging is much smaller than I pictured. The color looked very bright at first, but as you blend, it doesn't look as dramatic. I have found that this blush is not very long lasting on my skin. I don't know when it disappears but I can only remember seeing it on my cheeks when I put it on in the morning. I don't know if I don't put on enough, but one stamp seems like enough per cheek and I really don't want to overdo it. I probably wouldn't buy this product again. I'm sure there's much better blushes out there.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 12:51:00 AM

Where can I begin? Before I purchased UDPP, I didn't think it could make much of a difference. This product is the one you use and realize you don't know how you were able to wear eyeshadow without it. I have very oily eyelids and my eyeliner (liquid, mechanical, or pencil) will never stay! When I use UDPP my eyeliner and eyeshadow stay in place the entire day. Today, for instance, I went for a jog around 9 pm and began to sweat. Usually my makeup will either disappear or smear all over the place, but though I was red and sweaty, my makeup was looking just as good as it did at 9 this morning when I left to school. Its unbelievable. Im a cheapie, so anything over $10 is too expensive for me, but this is well worth the money. I'm on my second tube, and will continue buying it until I find something better, which I doubt will ever happen. This truly is my HG.

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Pocket Rocket Timothy
rated 3 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 12:35:00 AM

I got a travel size of Timothy in Urban Decay's Hall of Fame set. I do not know what it is about this lip gloss that I like. It feels sticky, it smells like vitamins, and it does not really last on my lips. My boyfriend hates this lipgloss so much because of how it feels when I kiss him. Nonetheless, the packaging is very cute, unique even, but I'm not sure its worth $20. I wouldn't mind using it, but I wouldn't buy it unless I had a lot of extra money.

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick Really Red
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 12:31:00 AM

I absolutely love this lipstick. It has such a rich color, goes on smooth, and it lasts a very long time, if not all day. It does tend to feel a bit dry on my lips after a while, but nothing too drastic. Definately worth the money.

Fragrances -Prada - Infusion d'Homme
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/23/2010 12:26:00 AM

I got this fragrance in a sample size for my boyfriend when I ordered from Ulta, but I didn't expect much from it. As soon as I smelt it I fell in love, I think I might like it more than my boyfriend does. I can't explain the smell. It smells masculine but not so masculine that a girl can't pull it off. I can't stop sniffing my wrist! I just love this scent and will be purchasing a full size bottle for my boyfriend. Just one more reason to get super close with him :)

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/19/2010 3:46:00 PM

I absolutely love this mask. My face feels minty clean when I take it off and I do notice that my pores shrink and my face looks vibrant after just one use. For $3, I didn't think this mask would do much but I can't get enough of it! When my face looks dull, or I feel that I need a little pick me up for my face, I turn to this product. Would recommend this to anyone!

Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
rated 5 of 5
JeanetteDisastre 4/18/2010 4:07:00 PM

This item was given to me as a gift. I didn't think I'd like it much but I gave it a try and found that it gives me great coverage. It seems that everytime I wear it (and I don't wear it often) I get compliments on my skin. It has long coverage and keeps my face from getting oily. I usually don't have to reapply during the day. The only thing I don't like about it is the packaging. Everything everyone else said is right. The brush is just completely worthless. It's not soft or doesn't feel good. Overall the product is good and that is the only reason why i would recommend it. The only thing I suggest is to buy a good kabuki brush and use that instead of the one that it comes with.
