Makeup Brushes -Lise Watier - Foundation Brush

I really like this foundation brush. I also own a foundation brush by Cover FX and had used MAC #190. The Lise Watier one is really special because of the following reasons. First, the bristles/hair are shaped differently. From the front view, it is rounder than CoverFX and MAC. From the side view, this brush has the milk carton shape instead of the V shape the other two brushes have. The shape made the brush fuller, in turn made foundation application more like using a sponge. The short handle also helps the brush to fit the hand and I find it much more comfortable to hold this brush when applying foundation. The individual bristles are thicker than the other two brushes. I will buy this again over the other two brushes, because this is less expensive and provides better application. (BTW, recently, I got into using stippling brush <3)

This brush is very expensive, but worth the price. I primarily used mine to apply bronzers, the hair is very soft and silky, densely packed. I had it for over two years and then it started to shed and shrink. I did not replace mine because of the price, bought a stippling brush instead.

This is a fluffy powder brush. The bristles are more stiff than I prefer and there are many brushes out there with softer bristles. Mine shedded, boooo, will not buy again.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

I grabbed this product in dark brown by accident, I was actually planning to buy it in black. Anyhow, it comes in a typical liquid eyeliner packaging, a small pot and a screw on handle. The tip is nothing to complain about, it is consisted of flexible hairs, instead of a foam-y hard tip. You do find some higher-end liquid eyeliner providing this sort of tip. The reason for the single lippie is simply due to the formula. It is supposed to be waterproof. However, it chipps right off with a touch of oil. For example, you put it on in the morning, after 2-3 hours, the product starts to disappear from your inner corners. Will not purchase again.

I am confused by the two previous reviewers, but I am reviewing the lipglosses that comes in the long square containers with a brush applicator and silver cap. Link to my gallery for the product I am reviewing: http://img.makeupalley.com/3/2/2/2/724922.JPG These are my HG gloss, they have the creamy coconut sweet scent better than MAC in my opinion, not as sticky as MAC, but lasts as well as MAC. It is pretty opaque, so it coats the lips with colors. The shine is minimal and glossy. My favourite shade is captivate, the perfect pink-red.

description of me: (summer) NC45, L'Oreal W6, CoverFX M60, Revlon CS fresh beige, Maybelline medium4, golden olive skintone, soft black hair, deep brown eyes, lightly pigmented lips. reason for purchase: I fell in love with the packaging while browsing in the store on a bored day. It just looked extremely sleek, the click pen style was so easy to use, the slanted tip looked so hygienic to me. expectations As for the result, I was not hoping for too much shine, as the new direction in makeup trend tends to be matt lipsticks. I did not have too much expectation, as I bought it just because of the sleek packaging. outcome: The texture was smooth and on the thick side. It has some slight cucumber scent, similar to moisture extreme lipsticks. The amount of shine was not over the top to a point that I have to dislike it, to me it is the amount an average lipgloss should have. The type of shine is glossy and wet, kind like a mirror when first applied. The ability to last is not bad, I have to re-apply every 1 - 2 hour, which is pretty good to me. beaming berry OMFG, this is my favourite shade of berry ever!! I am a lipgloss addict, who owns and have owned up to 100 lipgloss in her entire collection. Let me tell you, this shade of berry is so so so perfect, it is a pink raspberry shade, not too bright, not too light, not frosty, not too pink; a shade that will look good on almost everyone. Maybelline labelled this shade as suitable for all skin tones l-m-d. If you want to try shine seduction lip colors out, I highly recommend you so go for beaming berry. verdict I am not too crazy about the formula, as I already have my favourites (Quo and L'Oreal CJ). In my honest opinion, the gloss is just very very average, some may even dislike it for the cucumber scent. What makes me want to buy more is the packaging, sorry I can not resist!! It looks like an ink pen. I feel so intelligent when I use this in public, and I do not have to mess with sponge wands or pumping the gloss. repurchase? I have bought two, planning to buy four more, but I am not sure whether my craze will last. I will repurchase beaming berry for sure. expectation: I bought these liners based on the reviews here, I was hoping for a great basic eyeliner that was long lasting and easy to glide on. outcome: I am extremely impressed, that they are HG status ! They are extremely easy to glide on, even over heavy eyeshadows, and the colors are EXTREMELY rich. The texture you get from these is creamy and smooth, just like a dream!! I swatched them below, and after that, I rinsed my hands to cook some quick meal, guess what? They did not move at all!! packaging: These does not come in the kohl type of pencil crayon style, they are in the MAC power point style. They are approximinatly 15cm longs. They also comes with a clear plastic lid to protect the liners. price: They retails for $4.99 + tax a pop, and often goes on sale. Repurchase? Lip Gloss -Marcelle - LUX

I am a lipgloss junkie, I collect lipgloss, since Marcelle gets so many raves, I decided to try their lipgloss. - no scent, maybe a teeny bit of chemical scent. - thick texture like a liquid lipstick rather than a gloss - no taste - most of them are frosty, except for 1 or 2 shades - cheap looking packaging IMO - not cheap, but too expensive for the crappy product with too much frost in them I will not purchase them again, I bought three, and tossed them all.

I am NC45. golden olive skintone, soft black hair, deep brown eyes. I bought this solely based on the reviews here. I was expecting a cute brown trio. After all, this trio is amazing, the matte taupe is perfect either to contour crease or as a brow powder!! The deep brown is perfect for a smokey eye for as a liner. The packaging to me is a dupe of smashbox. The price is only 1/4!! Go buy yourself one if you are not pale. NC35(winter) / NC45 (summer), MSF6.5 (winter) Chinese, golden olive complexision. expectation I bought it based on the raves here, I just hoped for a great gloss. outcome I love it! The texture is smooth, not sticky, light, medium converage. The finish is high shine, very glossy, a little plastic kind of shine. No scent , except for the TINY tinge of plastic/chemical scent, which should not be a problem at all. Packaging It is unique, clear tube with a twist on dark grey lid and wand. Never leaked, unless I forgot to close it properly. price It ranges from $5 - $8 a pop, depends on where and when you buy it. It is 12ml a tube. shades The first shade I got was breathless (equivalent to MAC oyster girl), and then I eventually bought all of the pernament shades. They sometimes have limited edition colors, which are worth the money. I have them in Crystal Clear, Breathless, Liquid Honey, Syrup Glaze, Electronique, Crushed Orange, Nectar Lust. I expected the product to have a texture that was not glittery, would not irritate my skin, natural looking, and easy to use. "potion contain superfine pearly particles that reflect light naturally and create an inside-out illumination effect on the skin. Its silky texture is filled with hydrating complex that ensures the skin stays moisturised all day long. Apply alone to stay natural, before foundation for subtle shimmery effect, after foundation for sophisticated glow, or just as a highlighter. Mix it well with moisturising make up base to feel the extra soft glowing sensation, this is the secret tip. Thriller (Pink) for lighter skin tone; Secret Potion (White) for normal skin tone and Magician (Beige) for darker skin tone." outcome Its outter effect on skin is magnificent!! It has that metallic SHEEN effect, glowing naturally on your skin if you do not apply too much. In terms of the outcome of my skin condition , it is not favorable at all. As it claimed to have hydrating complex that moisturizes the skin, it irrated my skin as a matter of fact; and it is *not* even labelled as oil free. The texture is exactly the way it was described by the site, very silky, not glittery at all. The consistency is thin, just a little thicker than water; thus it has no coverage at all. When used as a highlighter on t-zone and cheeks over matte foundation, it provides the metallic 3-D glowing effecton the spots, which does its purpose as described in the quote from their website. The "inside out illuminating effect" comes into play when this product is worn under foundation or setting powder. When mixed with foundation , remember a little goes a LONG way, a water drop is enough for a dime size amount of foundation. It gives the skin a natural healthy vital glow. Excellent way to awaken dull skin. Once applied on skin, it does not skin into pores, but it does tend to show pores as the day continues and your skin starts to produce oil. However, it is not that severe at all. It is long lasting as long as a layer of NON MATTT setting powder is worn over it for people with oily or combo skin. I prefer to apply using fingers, since it helps to melt it into my skin, foundation brush blends unevenly. Never tried with a sponge yet, and do not own a skunk brush yet. shades I chose magician, it is a gorgeous golden beige, absolutely stunning when it glows on my olive skin. For paler girls, I would definitely go for the shade secret portion. The pink shade, thriller are better for girls with pink undertones, or used as a blush. packaging I am not liking how not hygienic it is, I do not like the fact that it has a plastic spoon, which gets touched often and being placed back all the time. I really wish it will come in a pump bottle latter on. I do like the clear glass body, with a silver metallic cap; I think it is very modern, sleek and edgy. price $26.5 + 14% tax for 30ml, which is not that expensive for the dense quality of metallic sheen.
