Highlighters -TheBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer
Jayjaybean 6/17/2012 1:49:00 AM
Finally got my hands on this! I've been lusting after it for ages. Best highlighter out there, that I've tried anyways. It's finely milled, so it is super smooth. Mary-Lou Manizer is a beautiful champagne colour, with subtle shimmer. No glittery chunks here! A little tiny bit is all you need cause it's so pigmented. It was $27 Canadian for 8.5 grams of product. Little pricey, but it will last forever. If i ever run out, I will repurchase for sure.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
Jayjaybean 4/25/2012 5:25:00 AM
Holy moly, I love this stuff! I'm not generally a MAC fan but I'm never going without this stuff again! I don't know if it makes my makeup last longer or not, but I have really dry skin so whenever I set my makeup with powder, it looks cakey. A few sprays of this and my makeup has a perfect, dewy look. And you can't even tell I'm wearing foundation! Awesome. It's $24 Canadian for this, but it lasts ages so I'm fine with that. I love the packaging too, the spray nozzle dispenses it perfectly.

Fragrances -Clean - Summer Escape
Jayjaybean 4/6/2012 6:14:00 AM
I am in love with this scent. I'm not too big a fan of the Clean line. I own one other fragrance, Outdoor Shower Fresh. The pretty pink bottle called out to me one day while I was in Sephora, so I tried it on. It smells just like the beach to me. The beach grass note lasts a long time on me, which I really like. It makes me think of sunscreen, flowers, and salt water. It's an odd fragrance, but I really enjoy wearing it. Others seem to as well. I have gotten compliments while wearing it. Anyways, I finally bit the bullet and bought it. I feel it's too expensive for what it is. It costs more then some designer perfumes even! Ridiculous. I wish it lasted longer, especially for the price I paid. I really like this fragrance though, so I will likely rebuy.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
Jayjaybean 4/6/2012 6:06:00 AM
I'm on the fence about this product. The eyeshadow "Sin" is easily my most used, and favourite shade so I was excited to try it in primer. It's still a beautiful pink/champagne colour with a hint of shimmer, but I found that it doesn't blend out as well. And when I put eyeshadow over it, it doesn't look as smooth as the original. Plus, if I smear it into my crease and don't put shadow there, I have a strange shimmer smear above where my eyeshadow ends. Some days I like to use it in place of any other eyeshdows though. A smidge of this, and a swipe of mascara and my makeup is done in two minutes. It lasts all day, just like the original UDPP. I'll keep using it, but unless it grows on me I will probably just stick to the original.

Lip Gloss -TheBalm - Plump Your Pucker Tinted Lipgloss Tutti my Frutti
Jayjaybean 3/29/2012 3:16:00 AM
Really pretty colour! The sparkles aren't overly garish either, which is nice. I love the slight tingle. The smell reminds me of this weird lipgloss I had as a kid. Sort of an artficial fruit/playdough smell. It's slightly offputting to me, which is why I took one lippie off. It was part of a set I got at TJ Maxx for 10 dollars. Great buy! I probably won't repurchase though, as there are other glosses I like more.

Eye Shadow -TheBalm - Shady Lady Jealous Jordana
Jayjaybean 3/29/2012 3:10:00 AM
My first Thebalm eyeshadow! I got it as part of a set so I didn't get to swatch the colour. It's a beautiful green (package says emerald, but it's really more forest green in my opinion) It feels quite smooth and goes on nicely. A little too dark for my skintone, so I'll use it strictly as a liner. I won't repurchase this particular shade, but I'm looking forward to trying other colours.

Eye Shadow -L.A. Colors - Mineral Eyeshadows All Colors
Jayjaybean 3/29/2012 3:03:00 AM
I saw these at Dollar Tree, and figured for a dollar, I can't really go wrong. I bought the gold and the teal. The gold feels really smooth. It's a bit sheer, but works well on my skin tone as a highlight. It's not overly shimmery. The teal doesn't feel as smooth, but it's highly pigmented. I probably won't use it often but for a dollar, I'm sure I'll get my money's worth! I'll rebuy, I'd love to try the other colours.

Lips -TheBalm - Stainiac in Beauty Queen
Jayjaybean 3/29/2012 2:49:00 AM
Got this in a set at TJ Maxx for 10 bucks. Nice! I love the gel consistency. It's a flattering raspberry tint on my pale skin. I like the doe foot applicator, though I need to blend it out a bit with my finger. I'd like to try the other tints. If i see it cheap again, I'll rebuy.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
Jayjaybean 3/22/2012 3:55:00 AM
Like many others I got this and the original minis as a birthday gift from Sephora. The packaging is awesome, I must say. They look so sleek. I like the texture of the balms, and the slight lemony scent. The rose lip treatment has a pretty pink tint to it. They keep my lips supple and moisturized. As far as repurchasing a full size, I'd have to go with no. I'm all for putting out extra money for amazing products but 24 bucks is ridiculous for some lip balm. And honestly, it's not much better then my regular old Lip Smackers.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Katy Perry - Purr
Jayjaybean 3/22/2012 3:47:00 AM
I got this as a birthday present. I must say, the box it comes in is rather offputting, but that doesn't really affect the product at all. Besides, the purple kitty bottle it comes in more then makes up for it. Usually I don't like celebrity perfumes, but this one smells quite good. I'm not good with notes but it smells fruity, like peaches maybe. On die down it smells sweet and musky. Not my favourite scent, but it's flirty and fun to wear. Lasting power is decent. Overall, I would repurchase if I could get it on sale.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette
Jayjaybean 3/22/2012 3:37:00 AM
Just got this for my birthday. I already have Naked 1 but I think I might prefer the neutrals in this one. They're a little better suited to my skin tone. The quality is as to be expected from Urban Decay. Very smooth and pigmented. Use a primer and they will last all day (despite what one earlier reviewer said, even expensive pressed eye shadows need primer) The initial cost is a bit much, but many addicts will likely spend that much on cheap eye shadows and whatnot in a year, so it's worth the investment. I put "No" to rebuying cause I have both the Naked and Naked 2 palettes. More then enough neutral eyeshadows for one person, so I doubt I'll ever run out.

Cleansers -Nivea - Visage Pure and Natural Cleansing Lotion

I had hopes for this product. I don't like it at all. It is way too strongly scented, and it makes my face feel tight after I've used it.

Eye Shadow -Sephora - Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow
Jayjaybean 2/12/2012 5:15:00 AM
Sephora brand products tend to be hit and miss for me. This is a definite hit! I bought Moonbeam, a GORGEOUS pinky-champagne colour that has tiny flecks of gold in it. It's shimmery (as would be expected from a name like Prisma Chrome) but not overly so. It's very pigmented, and blends out easily. I wore it over UDPP and it lasted all day without creasing or fall out. The packaging is sleek and classy and has a mirror in it. Nice! It was a little pricey at $18 CDN but you get 3.5 g of product. Not bad. I will rebuy, and I can't wait to check out the other colours!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
Jayjaybean 12/27/2011 3:45:00 AM
I love this little pot! I saw this at a local drugstore and I've been searching for a nice dark blue eyeliner, so I tried sapphire. I was slightly iffy about the price ($12 CDN for drugstore eyeliner?) but gave it a go anyways. When I brought it through the till it was marked down to 4 dollars! What a steal. The stuff smudges a little bit if you touch it before it dries, but afterward it doesn't budge (I use UDPP) The smudging can be nice for making a smokey eye though, if that's your thing. I really like the formula, it glides on so easy. The little brush included with the set works so well for giving a straight, thin line. Just make sure you wash or swipe off excess on a kleenex after use so it doesn't dry your brush out! I will repurchase (at full price even, haha) when I run out, and I am eager to try out other colours!

Fragrances -Mary Kay - Belara Eau de Parfum
Jayjaybean 12/27/2011 3:30:00 AM
Beautiful, everyday scent. Clean, slightly fruity, slightly floral. Not particularly original, but a wonderful scent nonetheless. I wear this frequently and always get asked what I'm wearing. It lasts all day too. Price isn't too bad, about $49 Canadian, and the bottle is so pretty and girly! I'll repurchase if I ever run out.
