Concealers -Unlisted Brand - RMS Beauty 'Un Cover-Up
JaydeLife 11/3/2011 5:20:00 AM
This makeup is an absolute miracle! It has completely transformed my skin! I suffer from very dry, acne prone and sensitive skin, and it started once I hit my 20's. I heard of this line from a friend a little over a month ago, and ever since I started using it, I haven't had one breakout! I actually use it as a concealer and a foundation. As a foundation I apply it with my beauty blender and it gives me and absolutely beautiful, airbrushed coverage. It is somewhat sheer, though, so when I want a fuller coverage I apply this and then put my BareMinverals foundation over it. I love that this is organic and all natural. The packaging is nice and compact, the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the price is quite high for how small the container is. But again, I have had this for a little over a month and using it on a daily basis, I still have more than half a jar left. A little bit of this product goes a long way, especially using my beauty blender to apply it. The main ingredient is coconut oil, which I have always been a fan of, it works miracles on your skin AND in your body.

Treatments -Bare Escentuals - Pure Transformation Night Treatment
JaydeLife 8/17/2011 8:57:00 AM
I have just recently purchased this product so am unable to give a complete review as of yet, but thus far, I really love the packaging, and having purchased it in the medium shade, for some reason I love that it gives a coverage before bedtime. What a fabulous idea?!? Who doesn't want to look pretty and flawless before they go to bed? After all, the most important person to look beautiful for is YOU! So if you can have pretty, flawless skin before you close your eyes, then that is just fabulous. But again, so far I like this product. I suffer from terrible skin; acne scarring and occasional beakouts, dry skin, sensitive skin, pigmentation.. so if this product helps then I will be ecstatic. Edit: So it has been 3 weeks since I purchased this and I have been using it almost every single night, and I have seen NO results whatsoever. My pores don't look smaller, my skin doesn't look better or clearer, from what I have seen so far it just seems like a waste of WAY TOO MUCH MONEY ($60) and kind of a waste of time. Pretty disappointed just because I am a fan of Bare Escentuals.

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
JaydeLife 8/16/2011 3:45:00 AM
Love this bronzer! Best contouring color ever. It is so hard to find a good, non-shimmery bronzing color that isn't orange. They always seem to have shimmer, or end up looking orange on my skin. This is the perfect color brown and is very matte, so I love it. Great packaging, super cute but like everyone else says, $28 is a lot of money for a blush. That being why I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5. But I still love it!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
JaydeLife 8/16/2011 3:37:00 AM
First off, this is NOT A BLUSH. Multiple people have called this a blush and this is not how it is marketed, it is marketed as a face brightener. It is meant to brighten up your face with a 'touch' of color and slight shimmer. For that it works very well. I have fairly tanned skin and I like it. But it is SO expensive (all of their boxed powders are over-priced). Smells nice, box is super cute, and would probably work wonders on fair skin. I would say buy it at Ulta bc they have a very good return policy, and if you don't LOVE it then take it back because it is $28.

Bronzers -Everyday Minerals - Happiness
JaydeLife 8/12/2011 8:02:00 PM
I love EM, but I do not like this bronzer at all. It is very, VERY orange, and almost too pigmented to manage. Even if you sprinkle just the smallest amount into the lid it still seems like too much when you attempt to apply it to your face. And I have somewhat tan skin, so I am sure this would be a NIGHTMARE for people with fair skin. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
JaydeLife 8/8/2011 5:09:00 AM
I am usually not one for liquid foundations, simply because I have sensitive AND acne prone skin, and because of all the "not good for your skin" ingredients that they contain. But since my skin is dry and sometimes I find that powder mineral foundations dry me out, I decided to give this one a try because I heard very good reviews about it, and I didn't want to spend a fortune on a department store makeup and end up not using it. I have had this in the normal/dry for a little over a month now and I actually really like it. It looks nice on the skin and goes on well, and despite what others say, I actually like the smell. I like that it is a full coverage (because I have blemishes and acne scars) and for a drug store foundation it is actually very good quality. I have MAC's studio fix liquid and I actually like this foundation more. I will buy this again.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
JaydeLife 8/2/2011 3:23:00 AM
My all-time favorite mascara!! And I have tried A LOT of mascaras. I like volume as opposed to length, and this mascara's name is extremely accurate. It adds a TON of volume. This is one of the only mascaras that I have tried that actually makes my lashes look thicker and longer than they really are, and it is only about $6, which is awesome. But if you are looking for a mascara that offers the "natural" look then this probably isn't for you. But ladies who like heavy-duty pretty lashes, give this a try FOR SURE! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
JaydeLife 8/2/2011 3:15:00 AM
I was actually pretty excited about this mascara when I saw the commercial, because my all-time favorite mascara is L'Oreal's original voluminous (either in waterproof or the normal one), but my only complaint is that it has a tendency to clump. So since this mascara advertised that it was "clump free", I thought it would take the place of my voluminous without the clumping. Well, to my dismay, I was wrong. I don't like the consistency (very watery) and the brush isn't anything special. I like mascaras that give volume as opposed to length, so maybe that is why I do not like this because it is lengthening and not volumizing. Won't buy this again. I'll just stick to the $6 original voluminous instead.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Mascara

Not a fan. Does nothing for my lashes. Save the extra $4 and just buy the normal L'Oreal Vouminous mascara for $5 instead.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Intensive Concealer in Medium
JaydeLife 7/25/2011 3:31:00 AM
Best concealer I have ever come across. I suffer from acne scarring and ocassional breakouts, and this concealer works WONDERS to cover pretty much everything. And it STAYS PUT, isn't cakey and blends in with my skin tone wonderfully. I wear Golden Medium in EM bases, for a reference. If you're looking for a full coverage concealer then I definitely recommend this.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Nick Nack
JaydeLife 7/1/2011 1:40:00 AM
I love this blush. I wanted a really, really light, natural pink and I actually wrote to EM asking them if Nick Nack would be the right choice, but because I have medium skin, they told me that it would be too light and to try pink ribbon instead. I took their advice and ordered pink ribbon, which is ok, but it is kind of generic, if that makes sense. So I actually recieved a mini size of nick nack in a free promo, and I wish I would have ordered it months ago!! It is such a pretty light pink natural shade. I wear it during the day time when all I wear is foundation with some mascara and lip gloss. Even if you have medium or semi-dark skin I would recommend this color. You kind of have to pile it on because it isn't very pigmented for darker skin tones, but I really really like this color! I am going to order the full size.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Large Mineral Brush
JaydeLife 6/23/2011 8:23:00 PM
Love, LOVE this brush. It is SO BIG and I love it. I own the EM flat top brush and the long handled kabuki and I love them both, but this one is great for light, quick coverage and for face powders.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Application Face Brush
JaydeLife 6/18/2011 8:54:00 PM
I am actually now a devoted Everyday Minerals user, after using Bare Minerals for about 3 years. I love Bare Minerals, but the price difference and the greater variety of options with EM is what switched me. I own almost every single EM brush. Flat top Kabuki, Long Handled Kabuki, Dome blush brush, Baby eye kabuki, etc.. And I love all of them. But I have to say, even though they are extremely soft, cheap, and vegan, BM brushes are still my favorite, specifically this one. I use this one for everything. Blush, bronzer, and even mineral foundation when I want really light coverage. I think I like this brush so much because the head of it is WIDE; wider than most blush/bronzer brushes. I have SO many blush brushes and this is always the one that I reach for.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Abbott's Perk Me Up Concealer
JaydeLife 6/17/2011 7:34:00 PM
This concealer does a good job of hiding my dark circles (I just had a baby so I have to try and hide my severe lack of sleep, lol) but I have very dry skin and this makes my under eyes look very cakey. So unfortunately I find myself reaching for my liquid concealers more often than this one. But if you don't have very dry skin then this is a great concealer. Unfortunately I bought it in the large size so I may put this in my swap, if anyone wants it :)

Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
JaydeLife 6/13/2011 10:01:00 PM
I really like this foundation. I have been an avid powder mineral makeup user for the fast 3 or 4 years now, and I am just starting to switch to liquid foundation because my skin is just FAR TOO DRY for powder foundations. I never wanted to use liquids because I have acne prone skin and I always thought it was makeup that broke me out, but I came to find that it was the face wash I was using and not the makeup. So I have so far tried Revlons ColorStay and Revlons PhotoReady and I like them both, but this one is my favorite. I love the way that it looks on my skin. It looks so natural, but it covers well enough to make my skin look really nice. And again, I have acne scarring and a few break outs now and then, and some discoloration. Not too sure how it would work with oily skin, but I have very dry skin and I live in the desert and it seems to work well with me.
