Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation

I hate that I love this product. I brought this whilst latching onto the craze, shelled out £30 with great expectations. It was GREAT. Beautiful finish, satin look. Coverage is good, moderate which isn't an issue because it adds to the natural look. Colour match was excellent, not perfect but still excellent. Everything was perfect whilst I was on Accutane (very strong acne medication, drys the skin out.. completely). When I came off this medication, please note I did not do a full cycle therefore skin problems were not cured, this foundation was no longer 'The One'. With combo/oily skin the foudation does not last (perhaps 2/3 hours max) till I need to touch up (Mac blot powder!) This is such a shame as I love the product, now I use it occasionally when I know it won't be on for long. By the way, this photographs AMAZINGLY! Personally I put it down to the SPF (as there is none) there is no reflection of the flash. Packaging is neat, simple. Don't like the fact that there is two lids. No pump is not a big deal for me, kind of use to it lol. Maybe Nars Sheer Matte is worth a try?

Velet Beige 630 I love this lipstick! It is a perfect colour match for the natural shade of my lips so when I apply it, you can't actually tell that I have lipstick on. It enhances the overall appearance. This means it can go with any outfit and is great for everyday wear. Packaging is cute, sleek. Nothing special but hey, the product itself is great. It glides on so smoothly and to help I put on a tad (literally) of Carmex. It lasts well as long as I don't eat (haha, so it's never really lasted that long with me). Will buy other shades and highly recommended! :)

I decided to try this eyeliner from the good reviews it's been getting. I love this eyeliner! It's actually black (unlike the Mac, so I've heard). Took me a while to use the brush properly, so I get the streak the way I want it but now I've perfected the technique, I will never look back. Highly recommended, lasts ages, stays on all day! P.s. if you happen to sleep with it on (you know, those occasional nights.. every weekend.. -looks around-) it will crumble but that's no biggie. Oh and sleek packaging, I like it.

Blush -NARS - Dolce Vita

Nars Sheer Glow - Syracuse This is the first blusher I have actually ever purchased and was more or less of an impluse buy but I love it! It gives a lovely natural look and the pigment is impressive so the pan lasts ages. I use it everyday and have done for months and months, yet the bottom of the pan hasn't shown through. It does cost £20 but it's defo worth it. Highly recommended :)

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I was desperately searching for my HG and I thought it would be nice if it was affordable for once! It is also fair to say that I’ve tried many too. I have combo/oily skin and often update myself with the latest craze via MakeUp Alley. Tried Mac [NC42], it was good... But just good. Strong on the yellow undertone. Nars Sheer Glow [Syracuse] came close, very close, but didn’t have lasting power. I know it’s not for my skin type but I couldn’t resist! Plus I was on Accutane at the time. I heard of Revlon Colourstay and thought I’d give it a try as it was affordable. Although I had never tried drugstore foundations before. Unfortunately the stores in the city didn’t have my shade [Golden Caramel] but eBay did =D Which was great because I got it for only £4.77.. Unlike my Nars at a depressing £30 -.- When it came through the post I was so excited, just like we all are with our hopes and expectations sky high. No wonder we get disappointed lol. Put it on and was uncertain, looked at it from different angles and lighting. I was unsure. The second time I applied it, it looked flawless. I use my fingertips to apply to the product and work pretty quickly. One area at a time i.e. nose, right cheek and then left and so on. Some say it dries too fast but I think its okay as long as you get your application right. One great thing is I don’t need Mac Blot powder to finish unlike how I did with the Nars. That’s a bonus as it saves the £20 odd now and then. Blusher [Nars dolce vita] goes on pretty well on top of this foundation. The only fault (if I can call it that?) is that there is no pump. However this doesn’t concern me as much as others because I’ve had quite a lot of practice with other foundations. It’s easier if you use the back of your hand as a palette. Anyway, the colour range is pretty good for a drugstore foundation. The undertone is not too strong which is perfect for Indians. I highly recommended it and try different things with application. I think this is the one. P.S. Sorry for the long review x
