Conditioner -Phyto - Phytokarite

You're better off with zero-conditioner than this tub of nonsense. If for whatever reason you wish to have Dry hair, you're better off rubbing deodorant on your head for $25 less. It's such a shame, when the Phytojoba shampoo is a legend and an institution. An 8th wonder how one company came up with such orthogonal products.

Styling Products -Oscar Blandi - Jasmine Oil Serum

This is LOVE in a bottle. The fragrance is somewhere between jasmine (as marketed) and gardenia, and truely uplifting. It adds uber-shine, and accrues compliments like flies to flypaper.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Rainkissed Leaves
rated 5 of 5

Fresh, clean, scent! Several of the Bath & Body Works lines have a generically-cheap, 'young' fragrance, but this one is an exception. I agree that it's reminiscent of Issey Miyake. It's also redolent of vintage "Grass" line, which the GAP purchased from a boutique perfumer "Mottura". The only downside is it's ephemeral quality -- I wish it was stronger & longer lasting.

Treatments -StriVectin - SD by Klein-Becker
rated 5 of 5
JaneLee1 4/25/2007 6:14:00 PM

This is the best results I've ever seen from an anti-wrinkle/ anti-aging product. I'm a 33yr old Japanese American with fairly dry/sensitive skin. My main concerns were smile lines (ugh!) and forehead lines (minimal). I've used this product 2-3 times a day for a month, and have absolutely no vestige of smile lines left. Skin texture is phenomenal! Quite frankly, my skin has never looked so good. If Klein-Becker was to change one thing, it'll be the product size for the regular (stretch-mark) Strivectin. For the target market who uses this for wrinkles, this is just waay too much product in one lump. I'd rather pay 1/2 the amount, for 1/2 the product, just to have a 'fresher' product at any given point in time. It'll take me 2 years to get through this tube, unless my face gets significantly larger in size (which it thankfully hasn't shown any signs of becoming).

Styling Products -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock Leave-on Perfecting Glosser
rated 5 of 5
JaneLee1 4/4/2006 11:03:00 PM

This product changed my _life_. I had no idea my hair could glisten & reflect like a mirror in a flood light. Stuff is dirt-cheap, and I've bought a tube of it for all my girlfriends. In less than a week of trying this product for the first time, I've bought 3 tubes: one for home, one for work, and one for my suitcase. Fantastic!!

Lotions/ Creams -Fresh - sugarbath body lotion in lychee
rated 2 of 5
JaneLee1 12/24/2005 11:39:00 PM

Mon dieu! While this lotion smells lovely, it's STICKY. I cannot justify spending this much for a lotion, and have to wash my hands after application. It just doesn't feel very good 'on'. Gotta love the packaging though.... it makes one feel rich. ;o)

Skincare - Body -The Healing Garden - Green Tea Therapy Shower Gel
rated 5 of 5

Mmm... mmm... GOOD!! My family & friends all love it too. It smells like Tommy Hilfiger's "Tommy Girl" (exhilarating Rose), yet it costs just pennies. I've gone through cases of this stuff, and it'll always be a staple.

Fragrances -Hermes - Un Jardin en Méditerranée
rated 5 of 5

It's ironic that the best fragrance ever made by the Hermes enterprise is 'limited production'. I suppose we can always count on eBay for future installments. This is a gorgeous fragrance-- I prefer the not-too-overtly-feminine scents, and this is very clean.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Polish- Luster
rated 4 of 5
JaneLee1 12/24/2005 11:26:00 PM

I cannot get enough of this stuff. So far this year (2005), I've gone through 4 tubes of Stila Lip Polish in Luster. You'd wonder whether I'm *drinking* this stuff. This is the first lip 'gloss' that doesn't stick to my hair. There's no worse sensation than your Hair sticking to your lips. The Stila people have worked some serious magic with this polish. My face is hair-free.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

I cannot imagine washing my face with anything else. I've used this for 10 + years, and it'll likely be my exclusive face-wash for the rest of my life.

Fragrances -The Body Shop - Dewberry perfume oil
rated 5 of 5
JaneLee1 12/24/2005 11:17:00 PM

Truely divine scent.... I've had many people ask me what fragrance I'm wearing. It's similar to a fragrance oil named "China Berry" that I used to buy in the east coast. It's an exhilarating fruity-floral.

Treatments -Clinique - Turnaround Cream
rated 2 of 5

I use this product at night before going to bed, and wake up with my skin red & itchy. To its credit, it's quite strong -- I'm now using it on my feet to rejuvenate the scaly skin there.

Shampoo -Back to Basics - Coconut Mango Moisture Quenching Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
JaneLee1 12/24/2005 11:09:00 PM

After going through no less than 6 bottles of the Coconut Mango shampoo & conditioner set in the past 3 years, I have to say this is the best product I've ever used. My previous forays into the haircare world were serious splurges on Alterna-brand products, so this is some serious praise on Back to Basics. It's cheap & works like a billion bucks. I have long (Asian) hair down to my butt, and receive no less than 2 compliments a day on it from complete strangers. I've recommended Coconut Mango to all my friends & coworkers.
