Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

I have short and straight Asian lashes. I was excited to receive a sample of Lash Blast Fusion from BzzAgent. The mascara promised both length and volume. However, I was disappointed after using it daily for two weeks. It gave me subtle volume, not too much length at all. It didn't hold my curled lashes. The regular formula smudged after 5 hours, which isn't too bad in this heat and humidity. But, the packaging is nice. The purple tube is pretty. For more dramatic lashes, I recommend the Maybelline Colossal series.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser

I decided to purchase Go 360º Clean after seeing numerous ads. It has been on sale at various drugstores every week. The cleanser itself is alright, nothing special. The scrublet, though, is amazing. I thought it was a gimmicky doo-hickey, but that wasn't the case. I wear make-up almost every day (foundation, concealer, blush, etc...) and my regular cleansers did little to remove it. The scrublet is very, very effective, yet gentle. The combine the Go 360º Clean cleanser with Oxy Maximum Face Wash and I saw improvement. My face is cleaner, softer and clearer, thanks to the scrublet!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Unstoppable Eyeliner

I haven't written a review in months but after using this product, I wanted to inform those who are interested in purchasing it. I bought this in a set with the Unstoppable Mascara at Wal-mart for less than $5. It seemed like a bargain but soon I realized the EXTREMELY poor quality of the eyeliner. After I applied it for the first time, it gave me horrible raccoon eyes in less than an hour. I couldn't believe it! I kept using the product after a few days but each time I had the chance to look in the mirror, I had raccoon eyes. I was so embarassed that no one had told me (boyfriend didn't "notice" them). I finally threw it away, what a waste of money. The packaging claims that the eyeliner is Water-proof and smudge-proof, IT IS NOT! Avoid this product at all costs.

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft Conditioner

I have EXTREMELY dry thick asian hair, so it was impossible for me to find even a decent conditioner. After seeing Redken ads in various magazines, reading reviews of their products, I went to a Trade Secret to try the All-Soft Conditioner. I was a little reluctant to buy it(it's twice the price of drugstore conditioners) but I bought it, tried it and now, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! I was worried that my hair didn't feel slick after rinsing the conditioner off. However, after blow-drying my hair, I felt an IMMEDIATE difference. My hair was soft, silky and shiny. I couldn't believe it. My boyfriend, who normally dislikes my brittle "itchy" hair, ran his fingers through it and he was in shock. "Jade, your hair is soooooo soft! Amazing!" I found my HG of conditioners!

Self Tanners -Coppertone - Oil-Free Sunless tanning Lotion- Light/Medium [DISCONTINUED]

I have been searching all over for the perfect (or close to it) sunless tanner. I got this at Wal-Mart for less than the price at drugstores. I applied it to my legs and waited overnight. Voila! My legs were so gorgeously tanned. My feet didn't end up looking streaky! So I applied it to my entire body/face today and waited several hours and I am so thrilled about the results! No streaks whatsoever! None on my hands or elbows. I don't look orange at all! However, the smell got REALLY offensive but it'll go away after a shower. I love this sunless tanner so much. Oh, and you get a lot of product for your buck!

Hair Color -Revlon - Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit

This is my first review in months or years! I am asian with the blackest hair. After reading the raving reviews on Revlon's Frost and Glow Kit, I went to my nearest drugstore and bought it for $9.99. The packaging didn't appeal to me though. Anyway, the kit comes with everything you need. I HIGHLY suggest having someone help you with pulling strands through the LightZones Cap. I made the mistake of doing it myself and it took me almost 5 hours! I'm not complaining though because: the kit came with a plastic wrap to prevent drippage, took only 40 minutes to highlight my hair to BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL-LOOKING dark blonde/medium brown highlights, and my hair doesn't feel or look damage at all! All for less than ten bucks! I will never again go to a salon to get highlights. Just ask a relative/friend to help you and you should get perfect highlights for a fraction of the salon cost! What a quality product!

Cleansers -Oxy - Oxy 10 Balance Maximum Strength Acne Wash

This is my first review in months. I bought Oxy Maximum Strength Acne Wash for about 5USD a few months ago since I wasn't very pleased with my current facial cleanser. I am... amazed by the results. I have not had any pimples since I started using it. I'm serious.. even around the time of the month when the monsters would expose themselves to the world. This facial wash isn't terribly drying (I apply moisturizer afterwards anyway), it doesn't have a pleasant scent.. but it's a face wash, why should that matter? It stings quite a lot when it gets into your eyes... but who cares? It is by far, the best... greatest... facewash I've ever used. I'm surprised that such a "cheap" product could do wonders. I'm recommending Oxy Maximum Strength to everyone!

This is perhaps, one of the greatest creams to combat cellulite ever! After two weeks of use, my thighs and behind are almost dimple free and definitely smoother. I measured my thighs before using the cream and so far I've lost about half an inch (just so you know, I've been on a diet too) each. Cellusculpt also smells wonderful (very citrus-like) and quickly absorbs into the skin. Oh, how I love it!!!!

Hair -Clairol - Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner

Clairol Renewal Shampoo is pretty good at strengthening my hair and washing it. I love how it bursts into lather instantly. The scent is quite pleasant as well. Quite a good alternative to Garnier Frutis products.

St. Ives has always made great products at great prices. The Collagen/Elastin Body Wash is no exception! It's quite cheap (about 3 dollars), it moisturizes and it has a wonderful light fragment. Who could ask for more?

Polishes -Revlon - ColorStay Always On Nail Enamel [DISCONTINUED]

This is my new favorite nail color EVER. The nail color is highly pigmented and shimmery and the top coat is superb and prevents the nail color from nicks and such. I know that the Colorstay nail color lasts for only a few days (around 5) for many people but for me, it lasts almost two weeks!! It's not that I'm lazy to put on another color, it's just that the color that I use (Diamonds Forever, an opaque shimmery white) goes along with everything that I wear. It's only 5.99 at drugstores, which is kind of more expensive than most drugstore nail polishes but this one comes with a top coat... so it would be 2.99 for both the nail polish and the topcoat separately. I highly HIGHLY recommend this nail polish. Stop selling out $12+ for nail polishes. Revlon Colorstay nail polish outperforms all the others that I've tried.

Styling Products -Matrix - TUFtrix

I've been searching for years for a product that would spike my thick asian hair. Luckily, Matrix's TUFtrix came out. I got mine for only 8.29 at Davidson (salon professionals only store though). I came home, applied a dime size amount and styled my hair. All I can say is WOW! It works! My hair stayed spiky bed-hairy for many hours. I'm definitely going to repurchase this product once I run out!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara

I was a second away from giving up on mascaras completely. I've tried countless of mascaras, both cheap and expensive. Luckily, after reading raving reviews on Super Thick Lash by Cover Girl, I decided to give it a try. Luckily, it was already 10% off at a local drugstore, plus $2 dollars every Cover Girl make-up! I got it for 2.99, what a steal! I applied it right before I went to work and amazingly it didn't smudge, flake, run or clump! Plus, it lasted until the end of the day. Super Thick Lash gives me naturally lush lashes... not the kind of lashes that scream "I have fake lashes!" though. I love this product, and I recommend to everyone. This mascara really deserves more promotion and recognition!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Lipstick

I brought a tube of Endless Lipstick in Crimson Joy (the deep darkish red that Milla Jovovich wears in the Endless ads) and my friend brought me a tube of the same color for my birthday. I love this lipstick. It doesn't last the entire day, but it wears more evenly and stays on longer than other lipsticks. Endless lipstick doesn't fade away and leave you embarassing lipliner outlines on your lips. It could be a tad drying but the color makes up for it. It's my perfect red lipstick. It looks great when topped with gloss!
