Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Tea Tree Oil
Jackiehunter212 9/13/2008 2:16:00 PM
So I have decided to give the results of straight tea tree oil on my face for about a week (maybe more if anything interesting happens). My skin was pretty clear, and then school started and BAM I broke out on my chin and cheeks (those are my only trouble spots with acne), and now my nose is a little more red as well. I don't have bad acne, but it is enough for me to be self-conscious of my skin (while other people don't notice, I guess I am just a perfectionist)
9-13-08: I bought this yesterday and used it overnight and my acne was a little smaller. The two big spots I had are not as raised up, but now instead of being one big bump, it now a couple little tiny ones (this was discovered with a magnifying mirror so in reality it's not too noticeable).
9-16-08: My skin is getting clearer, but I honestly don't know if this is the savior or the Queen Helen mint Julep Mask. Although the small blemishes I have on my cheek and chin are still somewhat visible (with sheer makeup on you can only tell they are there in natural lighting) but they have definitely diminished in sized, embarassment, redness, and that feeling where I should hide that part of my face. Awesome!
I will continue to update with the daily results

Deodorants -Old Spice - All Products
Jackiehunter212 9/7/2008 7:38:00 PM
Yes, this is a man's deodorant, but do I care? No. This is by far the best deodorant I have ever used (and i have tried a lot and returned most of them because of irritation. Lame) This does everything you can ask for in a deodorant and is awesome! I love Old Spice....... I use their cologne as perfume too, but that's another story

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Sarna
Jackiehunter212 9/7/2008 7:32:00 PM
So I have SUPER dry eczema skin, and absolutely no lotion has ever fixed that until this Sarna! It is so refreshing on the skin, not greasy, moisturizes a lot, and calms down my itching. What more could I ask for in a lotion? Maybe a cheaper price tag (13$ at Longs) but it is still an awesome product and I will buy again and again!

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
Jackiehunter212 8/11/2008 2:24:00 PM
I wish I could have stumbled on this amazing product earlier. So I have hype-sensitive skin (don't get me started about how many stupid things have irritated it!) so finding a good skincare regimen is like trying to find Atlantis for me. However, this mask has officially taken up a permanent spot! Here are the nightly effects it has had on my skin:
The first night I used this the way I would with a regular mask, and the next morning my skin felt soooo soft, as if it were angel skin! There wasn't much of a visible difference though.
Night two: I used this as a spot treatment on my chin and cheeks (my problem spots) and the redness I had was diminshed! The menstrual zit I had on my chin was about half it's size too!
After that I used it as a spot treatment every night, and now I think it has been about a week and my skin is virtually acne free (I have hyper-pigmentation though, but that runs in my family) and feels like a baby's butt!
In short, this is a straight up miracle mask!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - WetSlicks Lip Gloss (general)
Jackiehunter212 8/6/2008 10:29:00 PM
WOW! I am a former lip gloss junkie, and absolutely no lip gloss (even high end Lancome) has ever impressed me....... before.
I got this because Selena Gomez uses it (stated in Seveteen Magazine) and I always thought she had pretty lips. :D
This tastes like a vanilla/cake batter mix and is a faint taste but not invisible. I love it even though I normally prefer tasteless glosses.
The gloss is more of a sheen, instead of a wet shine. I like this because, to me, it gives it a little more staying power than the wet glosses.
Overall, for 4$ everybody should try it at least once

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Jackiehunter212 7/23/2008 5:12:00 PM
Ok so this is my first day using this product and I promise to update with continued results.
So in short, I have ance-prone/ SUPER sensitive skin. I use the Clinique Acne Solutions Line and it works well, but my skin is a little on the drier side.
I got this as a GWP and I put in on this morning and unlike other reviewers it absorbed really quickly and leave my skin feeling soft (baby butt status)! However, to avoid pore-cloggage I used my toner AFTER I put this on just so that the layer of mineral oil people have talked about can't clog my pores.
So I like this moisturizer so far and will update soon! Thanks for reading!

Shampoo -Mane 'n Tail - Shampoo
Jackiehunter212 6/12/2008 10:38:00 AM
I cannot tell you how sick and tired I am of shampoos and conditioner sets that promise you "Frizz free, textured, volumized, sweet smelling, shiny hair" and DO NOT DELIVER ANYTHING THEY PROMISE! Please excuse my little rant over there. Now, Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner are fantastic! I have color-treated, long, straight, healthy hair to begin with, but this stuff makes my hair soooo soft and bouncy! It didn't take away any of the volume I have either!
I thought I should mention this too, my hair is randomly curly underneath, and normallly other shampoos (ever the frizz ones) make my hair super frizzy down there. This has actually enhanced the curls and gotten rid of the frizz!

Lotions/ Creams -Queen Helene - Cocoa Butter Creme
Jackiehunter212 6/7/2008 11:20:00 PM
I use this on my body which can be very dry sometimes. I didn't need a body lotion (those are always too thin), but more a body butter. This is perfect!!! Now to warn you, it's THICK and you must rub it in well. But upon application my skin felt soooooooo soft and smooth (which is a very rare thing for me). Also it's inexpensive (I got mine for 5$ at longs)! The price is just another plus

Mascara -Almay - Intense i-Color - Black Pearl
Jackiehunter212 6/1/2008 7:43:00 PM
Press continue for before and after pictures
I hate fancy packaging and overwhelming advertising! Lashblast and Define-a-Lash not only have annoyingly bright/semi eye catching packages (which always make me wonder) but they also have commercials and adds being shover in our faces every magazine I turn to! Now what does this have to do with Almay? Well I love Almay because this brand is blunt! They honestly promise no miracles (false eyelash effects), but what they do promise Almay keeps! I have pretty nice lashes to begin with (PICTURES INCLUDED) so I don't need anything intense. This mascara is just what I am looking for!
Note: I am not wearing eyeshadow, eyeliner, ect. ect. or any eye makeup (other than this mascara) so you can get the full idea of what THIS particular product does on it's own.
Before Mascara:
After Mascara (the lighting makes my eyes look darker, weird!):
So all in all, if you want an honest mascara that does what it says it will do and not promise they moon and stars than this is perfect for you.

Treatments -Clinique - Acne Sol. Emergency Lotion
Jackiehunter212 5/29/2008 7:32:00 PM
NOTE: This stuff only works along with the Clinique acne solutions line!!!!
Ok, now that I have that out here in the open here is a little about my skin. Acne-prone, hypersensitive, and is getting better everyday thank to clinique!
Now back to this product, it is a fine spot treatment. And that's exactly what it is SPOT treatment. Anywhere there is not a blemish it will only irritate your skin (or at least my skin anyway). I love this stuff though, because when I have that once a month biggie I pair it with the acne "moisturizer" from the kit and it will heal a lot faster!
Not a bad product. If you have good results with the rest of the acne solutions line then this will work fine!

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Garden Tomato Complexion Soap [DISCONTINUED]
Jackiehunter212 5/24/2008 2:56:00 PM
Ok so I am going to keep coming back and updating this with results each week (or whenever I feel like it).
A little bit of background info on my skin: I have supremely sensitive skin. When I was younger if I used lip smackers lip gloss and accident get some anywhere but my lips I would turn as red as my garden tomato soap! I also am a teenager and am getting my first bad breakout (a little on my forehead, some very visible discolorations on my nose, and red bumps on my cheeks and chin). I have italian Olive skin and get hyperpgimentation very easily! Now let's see how this cleanser, the matching toner, and the blemish stick work together:
So I bought this last Sunday along with the toner, and now it is Saturday. Here are the current effects on my skin: (P.S. I was using the entire expensive Clinique Acne Solutions line for 3 months, and I think it was a good "prep" for this)
Week 1) I had semi-clear skin (a few red bumps, like a pimple with no head, and my cursed acne scars which I have had for over a year). Now the red bumps are minimized sooo much, however I have a large almost cystic papule on my lower cheek and a small little pastule just below my nose. Right now I think my skin is purging, which I must say I am impressed that this is all that came out! Also when I wash this off my face really does feel as soft as a tomato!
How I feel about the product andnot the results so far:
. Smells great!
. Lathers well for a natural product
. Easy to use
. Affordable
UPDATE: This is now Sunday, and it has been exactly one week of use. My skin feels SOOOO smooth I don't believe it! My forehead (which was lightly broken out before) is fully cleared up (minus the most faintest hyperpigmentation I have ever had). My chin, which has always been a problem spot and is considered "overtreated/irritated" is no longer red and only has A (not even a number! A letter of the alphabet amount!) tiny red bump that was much larger and with a pack of it's buddies before.
As for the pimples I got under my nose and on my cheek, well the one under my nose is very dry and should be gone in two days tops, while the one on my cheek has gone down a significant amount and isn't as "in your face" as it was. Which is a very good sign!
UPDATE: It's Monday now, and on my left cheek there are two new small pimples. I think my skin is still purging, not to mention I 1) didn't wash my face as well last night because I had a sleepover or 2) I was smushing that side of the face into my pillow (I am washing them as I type). These are small pimples though, and one is only a little red dot while the other is a tiny head. They should be gone soon.
UPDATE: I broke out more on my cheek! I have given up on this and have returned to clinique. IN just one night of using my clinique my acne has already gotten better. This time I am sticking with it (afterall, if it ain't broke why fix it?)

Skincare - Body -Burt's Bees - Coconut Foot Creme
Jackiehunter212 5/6/2008 9:28:00 PM
Well I got this in the cute little pedicure set Burt's Bees has to offer, and I vaguely remember reading somewhere (probably here) that this could serve as a hair treatment.
After my first night with good results as a foot cream, I thought "hey, why not try it out on my hair?". My hair is pretty healthy, the ends can be a little dry/frizzy sometimes, but that is only when it is humid outside (and since the season change my town has had WEIRD weather, so my hair is having a hay day today!)
I put a LITTLE (this is very very rich) on my hair and now my dry ends feel soooooo soft and healthy! Plus, it gave me immediate shine! I can't wait to see the long term results!

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
Jackiehunter212 4/24/2008 9:19:00 PM
Oh how I wish there was a "maybe" on the buy it again slot!
Anyway, before I jump into the product you should know that I have have HYPERsensitive skin (and I mean I could put anything on it and it will react! I can't even use smacker's lipgloss!). I don't have bad skin either, just the monthly pimple and some acne scars.
All of my friends use this and swear by it, so I thought why not give bareminerals a try. So my mom and I got the starter kit.
I personally like this foundation. Even though it irritated other people, it didn't promote irritation on me (which is strange!)...
HOWEVER
This foundations cakes like no other, and will catch on to any flakes or fine hairs (my "mustache" hairs are invisible blond and are pretty much non existent, but when I put this on I felt like a man). The brushes suck, I blame this for part of the cakiness. So I used my beloved clinique powder brush and it wasn't cakey, but it also offered NO coverage when I did that.
All in all, I am confused if I should buy this again or not. I will update when I decide.
