Concealers -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer

I have been using this for about a month and it seems to be very helpful at combatting the occasional pimples that I get. I was getting deep underground pimples every few weeks for the last six months, but that thankfully seems to be going away now - this concealer has been awesome at covering up the red spots left by that "traumatic time". My skin has more of a pink undertone and many of the concealers that I've tried seem to cater more to a yellow undertone - I am happy to report that the "light" color matches my skin very well. It does seem to oxidize slightly after wearing it for an hour or two, but it is still a very good fit for my skin. I have pretty oily skin but the formula of this concealer seems to last throughout the day. The SA content seems to be perfect for helping my skin stay clear without being overly harsh or drying. I gave this a lippie off because it seems like product "clumps up" on the outside of the package every time I remove and replace the wand into the container. It gets messy and seems like it wastes product. This was pretty cheap overall, especially considering that it works well for me - I think I spent $7 on it when I bought it at CVS.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Pressed Powder

Best powder I've tried yet! It doesn't cake too bad - although it does on occasion, so I took one lippie off. It stops my shine & I don't need to constantly reapply it. I don't like the packaging but the product itself is fantastic!

Broke me out horribly on the first try! I know there is something wrong with the product when I am looking longingly at photos of my chin marred only by reddish acne scars, since it is now covered with persistent, painful cystic acne! UGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'd give this a negative rating if I could. I don't even want to go out in public right now...

I like this moisturizer because it hydrates my skin well, without exacerbating the oiliness of my skin. It does tend to leave white streaks if I use too much, so I just need to be careful not to overdo it at all. I like the pump form because it seems more sanitary than a tub. I get this off of ebay or Amazon, so the price is usually pretty reasonable.

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - TruBlend Pressed Powder

I can't decide what I think of this powder. Sometimes when I use it, I think my skin looks fabulous - other times, I think it cakes up within seconds. It is very blendable and feels lightweight, for the most part. I would probably buy it again. I'm still on the lookout for a powder that can do everything I want it to... *** 1/7/13 - EDIT *** This breaks me out in big, gross, deep pimples. Booooo! I gave it 1 lippie because it did look good on my skin on a few occasions - so maybe it'd work well for someone else. I gave it to my daughter - hopefully it doesn't have horrible effects on her face. :\

I am not a huge fan of wearing thick make up on my face. I have a hard time with anything more than powder, because I don't like the "mask-like" feel that I experience. I have pretty shiny skin (although friends have told me that it is more dewy and luminous than shiny, but they could just be being generous)... anyway, because of these things, I use this stuff more as cover-up than anything else. I have relatively clear skin, but do have some large pores and occasional hormonal acne - this stuff is wonderful when I want to blur the "uckies" that I see on my face. I did try using it all over my face once, just for fun, and it looked pretty good! It may be a little too "dewy" for others with oily skin like me, but it adds a nice, even base, and is not drying at all.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

I love this stuff! It cleans my skin without overdrying, and I think it smells fantastic. My only problem with it is that the pump on the bottle sticks at times - and if my 12 year old son uses it, it means he unscrews the top and takes the pump off, and doesn't replace it, which leads to the Cetaphil falling over and "cleaning" the shelf under the sink... ugh! Other than that, it is a great product, and I love it.

Pressed Powders -Neutrogena - Shine Control Pressed Powder

I like this product a lot. I've been using it for about a week and it seems to work pretty well. It definitely does not last 8 hours, though. I still need to use the powder every hour or two to keep my face looking matte. I don't use foundation but this powder does not seem to turn my face overly white or anything. I am not sure if my face is really that oily, though - maybe it is just so dry that it gets shiny, and that is why I can never find anything to keep my matte :\ I also agree that the puff that comes with this compact is a piece of crap - you'd think they'd provide something better for a compact that costs so much. Overall, though, I like this compact. I'd buy it again.

I like this stuff a lot. I use it in the smile lines that have developed on both sides of my mouth. It makes a huge difference - I have to look a lot harder at my face to see the lines. The problem is, it tends to accumulate within the line after a few hours... which then draws more attention to the line, which is the opposite of what I want. I still gave this a 4 because it works well for short periods of time. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the staying power that I was looking for.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry

I love this stuff. I hate the original Burt's Bees - it dries out my lips and it is not moisturizing whatsoever. I have the same problem with the Pink Grapefruit, the Honey, and the Pomegranate one. This balm is yummy and makes my lips soft and kissable. I kind of like the fact that it smells and tastes like a child's vitamin (without the chalky aspect). I will definitely rebuy - this flavor and the Mango Butter flavor are my favorites!

I have been using this for about a week and I can't believe how much better my skin is looking! :) I don't notice a scent at all but maybe it's so faint that I can't detect it. The cream absorbs really well and it seems to be quite moisturizing. My face looks smoother and less blotchy, and my pores look tighter. Awesome! *** UPDATE 12/26/12*** I still love this stuff, and feel like there has been a vast improvement in my skin overall. I have noticed that if I go even a day without using it, then my "line" on my face returns with a vengeance. Since I didn't expect permanent results, I guess I am ok with that...

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

It's not my favorite of the Burt's Bees line, but it does the trick. It's pretty moisturizing and it does add a quick splash of flattering color. I am not a huge fan of the smell though - smells like something a guy would use. 5/24/12 I changed my review because this ended up drying out my lips :( I am still trying to get my soft lips back!

I am only 31 but I have light expression lines on my forehead and noticeable smile lines (when I'm not smiling). I think it's due to smoking :( Anyway, this doesn't seem to do anything other than moisturize my trouble areas, which always helps soften the line - however, the second I move my face, the lines are right back where they were, larger than life. Very disappointing. This was relatively expensive for a DS brand.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Honey Lip Balm

This stuff reeks and I didn't feel like it moisturized my lips at all. I am a lip balm addict and normally love Burt's Bees, so I figured I'd give this a try. I was sadly disappointed. My three year old daughter won't even use this stuff and she would eat fruity chapsticks if I'd let her!
