While I can't say this is the best mascara I've ever tried, I will say that I thought this was a cute addition to my ever growing mascara collection over Christmas last year. Consider it a novelty and you want be so irritated when it doesn't live up to your standards. I thought it was fun and it curled my lashes with just a swoop of the brush. It didn't clump on me, but that's because I always wipe away excess with a tissue so I can fan my lashes out. I received a few compliments while wearing this. I don't know why no one else seems to like it.
I have a little story regarding Hello Flawless! When I first moved to this city I wanted to explore. I went exploring down a street known for cool little shops, and while I was perusing I stumbled upon a woman outside who gave me a little flyer and begged that I come in the shop. So, I followed her into the shop where she plopped me down on a seat and started putting all sorts of makeup on me. I didn't mind, because it felt nice to feel pampered until she gave me a list of things she had used on me and now expected me to buy. WHOA. I said, well jeez I can really only afford one thing. That one thing was Hello Flawless! powder. Now, I proceeded to use this 30 dollar powder until it absolutely ran dry. But it wasn't because I necessarily thought it worked better than the other powders I already had, I just wanted to feel like I spent my money on something I could use. As a matter of fact, I felt like my N.Y.C. powder did a better job at setting my foundation and adding that last touch to my makeup. So, bottom line is this (for me at least), I don't really think this is the miracle, cure-all powder for girls who want a flawless look. It was actually quite disappointing for the price.
Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer spf15
ItsInHisKiss 11/16/2010 9:50:00 PM
I put this on under my makeup and on days I don't wear makeup. It doesn't moisturize as well as I would like it to, because my skin still peels from time to time, but I would like to think that this is the reason my makeup hasn't been breaking me out like it did before I started using this. It is lightweight and dries fairly fast. I really don't know if I would trade it in for something else unless that something else was a miracle moisturizer. I'd sum this product up with "good enough".
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eyestudio Quad - Irresistibly Ivy

I have a little collection going of the Eyestudio quads. Irresistibly Ivy was one of my later additions, because the colors are sort of out of my comfort zone. I don't wear a whole lot of browns or golds, but these were actually quite fun and easy to wear. If you're having a problem with pigmentation being too light or wearing off after a few minutes, try applying a primer on your lids and under eyes before applying the shadows. I find that this keeps the pigment brighter and lasting longer. The shadow is so smooth it's dreamy. I love these!
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eyestudio Quad Pink Persuasion

Sadly, I left my makeup case on my loft stairs while I was out during the day and my cat knocked it off crushing almost every pressed powder item I had, including this pretty Pink Persuasion. This was the first Eyestudio quad I bought and probably my favorite. I have very fair skin, so all of the colors looked great on me. Also, since I use a primer before applying eye shadow, the pigmentation was perfect and stayed on all day. The texture is smooth as satin and adds the perfect amount of shimmer to eyelids.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - EyeStudio Quad in Purple Icon

I always apply a primer to my lids before my eyeshadow so the pigmentation lasts longer and remains brighter. Like I've said before I own a ton of these little quads and love them all. Purple Icon is good for a rainy day or a day spent running errands but it can also be played up with the darker shades for a night out on the town and looks almost regal. I love these purples on my fair skin. The lightest two shades are very pretty when matched with the darkest purple as your eyeliner.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eyestudio Quad-Sapphire Siren
ItsInHisKiss 11/16/2010 8:26:00 PM
I absolutely love these eyeshadow quads! I am so glad that this comes with a light base color, because the Sapphire Siren blue and green are a little too bright for my fair complexion but look killer when mixed with the white and after applying the black right above my lash line. My boyfriend adores the shimmery hues.
Blush -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy

Before I praise this powder blush to death, I will start off by saying the packaging is horrendous (or maybe I got a dud). I dropped this about a foot into my sink and the lid came right off the hinges. Oh well! I bought this in Ethereal. I have a very fair complexion, so the blush shows up perfectly and looks romantic, natural, and fresh on me. The shimmer is great! Then again, I am a sucker for anything that sparkles. The texture of this is like satin. It is smooth as smooth can be, and I doubt anyone has noticed this but the blush smells like perfume when you brush it all over your cheeks and a bit on your nose.
Mascara -Almay - Intense i-color w/ Light Interplay Technology

I tend to get tired of mascaras very easily, therefore I have about 50 different kinds of mascara. This, so far, takes the cake as far as favorites go. I have two of these in 032 Black Steel for blue eyes. They fan out my eyelashes, rarely clump, and give my baby blues a little oomph with their subtle sparkle. I have received numerous compliments on how blue my eyes look while wearing this, even from men...who never notice anything. Go figure. I love this product!
I will continue to buy this loose powder for as long as N.Y.C. makes it. Great value for what you get. I have been using this powder to set my foundation (I use 741A Translucent) and it does not appear cakey or smell horrible like some other powders, and most importantly does not break me out. It does, however, get rid of that unsightly oily shine on days I don't feel like wearing makeup at all!
Concealers -Maybelline - Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer
ItsInHisKiss 11/16/2010 7:48:00 PM
I can only use this concealer when I blend it with a moisturizer...yes, it is that dry. It does not flake but it does cake in the small lines under my 22 year old eyes. I use this every day, however, because it stays on my skin all day. I am starting to despise the tiny (was this a joke?) bottle it came in, and I am resorting to scraping it out with the applicator until I can gather enough money for a knock-out concealer. This concealer is not good for blemishes, because without a moisturizer it would pull the skin and actually create more redness on my skin. Thus...my search continues.
Liquid -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Your Skin Foundation

This is the best foundation I have ever used, and I can say this with the utmost confidence. I have combination skin, so sometimes my skin is oily and broken out and sometimes it is dry to the point of peeling but clear. I've always struggled with foundation, but this one is wonderful! It doesn't dry my skin out, it doesn't cause breakouts (so far), and it looks very natural and blends well with my fair skin, while hiding what needs to be hidden. I feel like the pump keeps my skin clean because I am not constantly handling the bottle. The only drawback I find with this foundation is the smell. Dear Lord, it smells horrible upon application, but honestly that is not enough to keep me from using it every day.
I have grown to really like this primer, but it does have it drawbacks. Like some others have said, it does feel quite greasy upon application. I apply a moisturizer, then the primer, then concealer, then foundation, then powder. My concealer is very dry and does not blend well at all without the moisturizer and primer, and I feel like the greasiness of the primer goes away after the application of foundation, as well as the shimmer. The bottle is just horrible. At first I thought that the pump would be perfect for a fast and mess free application, but it actually just complicated the process, because sometimes the pump doesn't work. For me, the good outweighs the bad. The primer helps my makeup stay on OVERNIGHT if I don't wash it off, and it does not dry out my skin or make it break out (yet).
This was my signature scent over the summer, and I never grew tired of it. I am a huge fan of honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine and thankfully these notes were the most noticeable ones with my chemistry. I do think that the bottle is a little over-the-top with the hot pink ribbon, and honestly the trendiness factor almost stopped me from buying this perfume, but it was the honeysuckle that brought me back for more and I couldn't resist it.
Princess makes me smell like I spent a day at the beach with flowers in my hair, kissing a "bad boy" under the pier, but somehow keeping an air of innocence. This was my best friend's signature scent before she moved away. Luckily our chemistry is so different that this smells NOTHING, on me, like it did on her. I can see how some people might not care for this scent, but I love it. It is so incredibly different on everyone. On my friend it smelled like a young housewife with too much money for her own good but with a sweet, giving, and kind heart so she rarely spent the money on herself, if you know what I mean. I still haven't worn this through summer, spring, or the dead of winter. I will definitely be updating this.
