Moisturizers -Shi Kai - Borage Dry Skin Therapy 24-Hour Repair Facial Cream
Isa1 10/28/2012 6:24:00 PM
I have dry sensitive acne prone skin, and Dermalogica Intensive Moisture wasn`t enough for me. This is great for very dry sensitive skin, and hasn`t broke me out yet. But, I have had comedones for a few years now that hasn`t dissapeared, and it doesn`t get better with this cream, but not worse either(have used it for 3 months now I think). I also use Differin cream now for the cronic whiteheads, and the Shikaicream is great for that purpose I think(no irritants at all, which I need.) Will edit review if it changes :) It also works fine with MD Continous Renewal Serum. EDIT: I stopped using this cream, mostly because it didn`t give me enough moisture(I`ve had crazy dry skin this winter) - but it never broke me out, and I break out from absolutely everything. I highly recommend trying it if you`re looking for a neutral moisturizer for dry skin with no parfume. But don`t expect anything other that moisture, there is no active ingredients - which probably makes it good with all kinds of serums.

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Big Sexy Hair - volume mousse
Isa1 4/24/2012 4:49:00 AM
This is actually the worst foam I`ve ever used. Quite expensive, sticky and does absolutely nothing for my hair. I`ve tried much cheaper brands that works better. This actually goes for all their products I`ve tried(heat protecting, hairspray, mousse, dry wax etc etc .....Will never purchase their products again.

Pressed Powders -TheBalm - Sexy Mama
Isa1 4/24/2012 4:41:00 AM
I only use this in my T-zone. It really is just a setting powder - it doesn`t provide a silky finish like some other powders can do for me. This is both a plus and a minus; the plus is that the foundation finish doens`t change - and it really doen`t give any colour. The minus is of course that a silky veil finish is very pretty(but also very often breaks me out, and can face in strange ways during the evening) I read a review that warned against putting on to much/several times, and I agree. It looks good(gives a matte finish nothing more and nothing less) if I put some on - but gives a strange finish when I put on too much(and by too much I mean what I would normally apply if it was a ordinary powder).

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
Isa1 4/23/2012 8:38:00 AM
After reading many reviews of how wonderful this blush is(in magazins, forums, blogs etc), I bought it. My skin type is typical scandinavian fair, and I suit best warm blushes that is a mix of pink/bronze/peach-looking colours - preferably matte. Nars Orgasm looked terrible me. It was way to shiny(glittery, not dewy), way too pink(in the wrong way) - and didn`t blend well into the skin. The colour may look pretty on others(bt you need to really like the sparkling fake-pink look) - but for me a minus was also difficult application. I tried googling pictures of people wearing NARS Orgasm, and honestly I didn`t really see this working brilliantly on others either. Edit: Actually, I can wear it if I only put on a very little- for daytime use, not night. It's the gold shine(actual gold glitter) that makes it look weird on fair skin- probably much better in the summer. I can see this looking better on someone with medium dark skin with warm undertones.

Moisturizers -Exuviance - Evening restorative complex
Isa1 2/18/2012 9:23:00 AM
I have dry/dehydrated skin - that also breaks out and produces oil, so I can`t use the Exuviance for very dry skin since it containes mineral oil. This does not give me enough moisture at all, so I have to use jojoba oil on top. Tried it alone the first few nights, kinda uncomfortable. Also, it just doesn`t do anything for my skin, really. Doesn`t break me out, but doesn`t give me anything on the plus side either. It is also expensive(83 USD in norway) - and really doesn`t do anything more than the cheap jojoba oil does for my skin(which is also nothing). Will definitly not by again, but I`ll finish it.

Moisturizers -MD Formulations - Moisture Defense antioxidant comfort creme
Isa1 11/12/2011 12:02:00 PM
This does absolutely nothing for my skin. It claims to be very good for sensitive and dry to very dry skin, my skin is normally dry and gets absolutely no moist from this product. It doesn`t break me out - but it gives a sticky layer, and makes me much more oily the next day. My foundation looks horrible on my skin if I`ve put this on first. It is really a total waste of money in my opinion - doesn`t do anything positive for the skin in terms of moisture, glow, clearing up acne or really anything else but make it a bit sticky.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Mineral Hygienics
Isa1 11/12/2011 7:06:00 AM
I`ve tried lots of different powders, liquid foundations and many mineral foundations. Of the mineral brands I`ve tried; Everyday Minerals,ID BareMinerals(both matte and normal), Tikei, Glominerals,....and some other brand that had rice-powder or something in it as main ingredient. So; both with, and without bismuth. Liquid foundation has the best finish on my skin, but makes me break out no matter what brand I use(favourite is Clinique). That also have happened woth a lot of mineral makeup brands - but even the ones that haven`t(that bad anyway) gives me a really unsatisfying finish result; wrong colour, way to cakey - shiny - dry - or "creamy", and makes my pores really stand out(they are almost invisible without makeup on). Medium coverage, but you have to like the "I have some makeup on" look. The colours are quite light, I have fair skin, but fairly light is a tiny bit too light for me. Probably will have to blend two colours. I have a slightly oily T-sone, and while this doesn`t quite matte my skin down - it actually gives a very nice glow - so that the oily zone looks more radiant that greasy. It looks powdery(in a good way) on application, but after 20-30 minutes it blends in. Also tried it with a primer(bodyography purple colour), and it works well. This`ll stay on your skin much longer than most makeup will, without being thick and looking very unatural. The brush that came with is totally c-r-a-p, so I use the ID full coverage kabiku brush. Have read great reviews for the Sigma F82 with this also. Those of you who are not used to wearing foundation - I would try it a few times at home with different layers, and see what looks best on you - just because it has a quite good staying power and doesn`t wear quickly off as many other powders/foundations. UPDATE: Unfortunately this, as all other foundations/powders break me a little out. But I think this is due to my skin/hormonal inbalance, and possibly that the setting powder contains Mica. I don`t quite like the finish from the powder alone, but when I put on the matting powder - it gives a almost flawless look. Very pretty! Be careful when using a kabiku brush - a little really goes a long way. I REALLY wish it didn`t break me out, because I look great with this makeup on when I use both foundation and finishing powder. Oh puh..... EDIT AGAIN: still looks great on my skin(porcelain skn) but this stuff is reeeeeally breaking me out now, with a lot of whiteheads after just one day use,...I`ve tried it several times from time to time, and each and every time I break out, either the same day or after a few days(also in places I don`t use it since I tried only allpying it in the T-zone). But; they dissapear quicly, so I still recommend trying it just because it looks great on. I still use it on special occasions, just because it looks great, also in pictures.

Scrubs -MD Formulations - Face and Body Scrub
Isa1 11/12/2011 6:50:00 AM
I`ve bought this two times - that is, over a whole year. I used ut twice a week on my face - and it really lasts for a very long time. I would not recommend this to very sensitive or very dry skin - the grains are too harsh for that(also the active ingredients will probably dry the skin out a bit) - but for normale/oily skin that isn`t very sensitive, yes. This did save my skin one late nights with more makeup on than usual, and it made my skin quite soft the next day. However, it didn`t make my breakouts go away/reduce - didn`t clear my skin up. I changed from this to Jan Marinis daily cleanser(exfoliates, but without the grains) - and Jan Marini gives it a more radiant look(and helps the break out a little bit) more than MD. Much more I would say, actually. So, I`m using the rest on my body - and if Jan Marini stop having a more positive effect I`ll go back to MD.

Loose Powders -T. LeClerc - T. LeClerc Loose Powder
Isa1 11/11/2011 10:06:00 AM
I knew from reading reviews that the product was messy, so I bought an empty container from a mineral makeup company - problem solved. But: Open it REALLY carefully. This is OK as a fixing powder, but probably difficult for both very dry, or very oily skin. Had a nice finish - not mindblowing, but nice. The main problem for me is that it makes my skin break out immediatly - so every time I use it, I have to expect breakouts and make up free day the next day. Not really a huge loss for me, since it didn`t have the "wow" effect on my skin anyway. I think this can work good for people with a good skin condition, who just wants to have a fixing powder and doesn`t need it to either cover or matte down quite oily skin. Don`t really get some of the great reviews I`ve read here earlier. EDIT: contains almost only talc, which is a crappy and drying ingredient.
