I've been dealing with tiny little blackheads under the skin for too long to even remember. My skin is/was never that bad. Large pores are my problem and even they're manageable. And the inflammed pimple every now and then. Nothing a dab of lerosett mask can't fix. Anyways, I was using panoxyl which works for my body but not for my face anymore. I figured I would do salicyclic acid since it worked in the past. I tossed the scrubbie thing and use my Mia instead. My skin looks and feels smoother, and my make-up looks better on my skin. I've been using it for a little over a week. it does dry a tad, but i'm using a hydroquinone gel for scars and it helps with that. I'll probably continue to use until my skin builds up a resistance to it...hopefully never!

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Precision Lash Adhesive

I don't know what everyone was ranting and raving about? This lash adhesive? Nah, couldn't be. I was on my way to work (I bartend and we're supposed to look "hot" so I always have on super long lashes) and I realized that I didn't have my glue i.e. weave bonding glue. I like it because it's black and it peels right off of the falsies and my lashes in one single strip. n e ways, I ran to the drugstore and got excited when I saw this, mainly because of the precision brush. Usually i use a toothpick and a flat surface for my bonding glue. The glue had a distinct blue tint which I thought was to let you know it was on the lash and that it would turn white when the lash was ready to apply...yeah, no. it dried that strange shade of blue. This glue was super gross, too sticky and stayed stuck in my lashes for days, I even lost someof my own lashes due to the irritation the leftover glue was causing me. I've been wearing falsies for years so I know I didn't do anything wrong. I'll stick to my bonding glue thank you!

Skincare - Face -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Therapy System

I have oily/sensitive skin that tends to be flaky at times too (*sigh*) with large pores and blackheads. From time-to-time I get a blemish or two, sometimes cystic. I don't know if it's the stress i've been under or a mix of this hot weather but I broke out enough for me to notice and it was bugging me. I've tried a lot of products in the past, acne-free, proactiv, chemical peels, clenziderm...hell, a lot of stuff! I research any product before I buy the reviews on this were pretty good and I wanted something I could easily get my hands on so I bought it 3 days ago. So far, so good! I put my own spin on it though. I wash my face with my hands for a moment, then I use my clarisonic Mia to get the wash in there and get any gook my hands couldn't. I follow with witch hazel to tone. After I apply the BP lotion at night I lightly mist my face with a mixture of 3 parts water, one part glycerin to keep my skin from drying out. My skin DOES look a little better and smoother. I have this uneven patch that I'm considering taking a TCA peel to but other than that I'm pleased!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Milk of Magnesia

I had watched MANY a review of this on YouTube and also read reviews about it here and a few other websites as well. Now I did get the generic brand (CVS) but I compared ingredients and found that they were all the same and figured it would be ok. I tried it today, seeing that I was off and not planning on going anywhere. I lightly stroked a light amount over my cheeks and on the sides of my nose where I get the most greasy. my face did turn white but i dusted off the excess and applied my make-up as normal. An hour in I did a face dab and noticed there was no excess grease so I was pleased but a few hours later after forgetting about it, i was in tha bathroom and oil slick...yuckers my face looked very greasy!! idk, maybe i did it incorrectly and I was hoping that it would work seeing that i'm getting married next month and i'm on the prowl for an oil control/pore minimizing lotion...so I came, saw and def did NOT conquer...back on the hunt...

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 3 of 5

I got the Mia yesterday so I guess I'm kind of biased as I haven't allowed a general "2-week trial" for a solid review, BUT I noticed something today that I wanted to comment on. I used it for the 1st time last night with my clenziderm daily gel wash (I'm on the clenziderm 3-step acne program for oily skin, it's been about a month but my skin has improved a lot though it wasn't that bad to begin with) and my skin was definitely glowing which was nice and my skin felt tingly and clean. My serum gel soaked in my skin nicely and I thought this might be something good for me. I used the Mia again tonight and then followed with the clenziderm pore therapy (toner) and found that there was an awful LOT of dirt on the cotton pad! I had to use two before I felt like all of the excess dirt was lifted! I was kind of taken aback because all of the reviews that I've read on this site, other sites and information on the Clarisonic site itself stated that the Mia offered a deep down clean, lifting dirt from pores etc, so why was my skin still laden with dirt after TWO 1-minute cycles? I wanna like this, and my skin does feel quite silky after, but I purchased this with goals and intentions! I have like maybe 4-5 tiny blackheads (so small that you can't see them unless I tilt my head to the side, which I do...alot) on my cheeks that I'm trying to get rid off. They make the texture of my skin seem a lil rough. They had started to clear, but after a wknd of skipping my skin supplements and not being strictly regimented as normal with my 3-step kit they kind of came back. I really hope that when I start using the Mia twice a day (i'm only using it at nite to start to avoid a possible "purge") that the extra dirt will be vibrated away lol and the bumps will subside. I'm only giving it a 3 as oppose to a 4 because of the extra dirt, I didn't even wear make-up today so...*crossed fingers for future*
