I bought this because it was cheap and I really needed mascara...I love the brush,,,it gets every lash and does not clump. The formula is a little wet...but it is really easy to work with. I have found that this lengthens and separates beautifully...nice dark black shade , too( I think I got 'glam black', label fell off). You can create thickness as well as length. Directions say not to let dry between coats , keep working it till you get desired look. Looks great! This seems to react to hot temperatures though...if I am outside in 90 degree plus weather...it tends to flake off a little. This is a nice mascara though...I would re-purchase.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm sphere -medicated tangerine
In2th3night 11/2/2012 5:29:00 AM
Lots of hype about this product....I bought Tangerine flavored one. I paid...3.58 for it at Walgreens. It tastes and smells really artificial and nasty...there is no way this is a natural product. The scent and flavor do go away though. The first time I used this was at night ....it was still on when I woke up....does not sink in....just sits there ..like a barrier. It is just okay...not very good....does not condition or soften....I think I will stick to burts bees or shea butter balms.
These are really good glosses. I have the doe-foot gloss in 'shameless'(388383) and the squeeze tube in 'pink'(388458). I love them both. There is no scent and the colors are true to the packaging. "shameless" is a creamy peach shade and goes on really nice and the wear is average , but very moisturizing ...like a lip balm . "Pink" , in the squeeze tube is really bright pink in the tube , but VERY nice flattering color on , not overly sparkley ...just a face -brightening pink shade. I think the tube colors last a bit longer than the doe foot applicators ones do. But the tube style tends to have glitter in a lot of the colors...not all of them...seems most are a faint shimmer. The doe-foot style has more creamy colors. Love them!
My hair is dual processed (I pre-lighten and then deposit only my color) I have fine hair and lots of it, it is long. I used the deep penetrating cond. treament. The 1st time I used this, I only left it in for 2min. My hair felt okay like a normal conditioner would make it feel. The next time I left it in for 8 min.on the lower 3rd of my hair. Rinsed , then blew it dry. This cond. treatment seemed to have helped in drying time! My hair dried much faster...in 5 min. with my blow dryer , usually takes 10 min. or so. This made my hair soft and smooth and took most of the frizz away, that I normally get after blow drying. I used my curling iron on the ends and it cut styling time down for that , also. It has not weighed my hair down and it made it shiny and full. The smell kind of makes me think of Nivea cream. Not bad and it goes away after drying. I think this is a great deep treatment for once a week!
Lipstick -Maybelline - Rum Riche Color Sensational
In2th3night 12/12/2011 5:20:00 AM
This color looks like a warmed up mauve....but neutral...sort of like "your lip color but better" color...like a dusty pink. Very nice ...very moisturizing like a lip balm. This is a cream color...no shimmer or glitter. I think this is a great color for all skin tones. .. so moisturizing!... The color you see , is the color you get!..Please Maybelline , don't cancel this formula! I have four of these and I love them all!! ( crazy for coffee, let me pink, summer sunset, rum riche)
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - NOW Solutions 100% Natural Shea Butter
In2th3night 11/20/2011 10:13:00 AM
I bought this because I wanted to use shea butter on my legs and feet and hands. I have used Alaffia's handcrafted shea butter...on my face and hands, and I love it! So I wanted a larger jar...Now solutions brand comes in a 7oz. tub. It is pure white as opposed to greyish beige, like most shea I have seen. That leads me to think that this is refined shea butter. This melts deferently in your hands , melts into a thick dull-ish lotion.(other shea butters I've used melt to an oil)...it's very moisturizing and truly lasts...creates a thin film , but is not greasy. To me , it's kind of like Nivea cream (in the blue tub) without the scent and lasts even longer than Nivea. Great barrier cream for lips and hands, even the ends of your hair! (used sparingly) I love this on rough heels , it lasts a long time on that rough calloused skin. I found that even after washing my hands , it's still there a little bit. I love that there is no fragrance , too. Also a tiny bit goes a very long way!
I bought the colors - 'blushing' and Italian Ice'....'blushing' was the darkest of the colors that were left...@ Walgreens for $1.99 each. They really last a long time ...gloss -wise!!....the colors...well , I thought 'blushing' would be as it appeared , a dark warm coffee...it's more of a honey warm nude...and I have rather pale pink lips. There is no shimmer or glitter , this color is more of a cream type, but sheer. Italian Ice was very much like Milani's 'summer baby' ....but more coral..than gold/coral duo/tone. The scent is exactly like Milani...but very faintly vanilla like. To me these glosses are not sticky ...very smooth ...long lasting shine. My application lasted an hour without a re-application.I will be looking for more colors.yay!
I love this color and it truly lasts. I put it on my previously moisturized lips and blotted , then reapplied and blotted with one ply of toilet paper and dusted over the paper with MAC's Prep&Prime transparent finishing powder.(any face powder will do for this) and then set out for the night....it felt slightly drying....but comfortable ....even felt like I had nothing on my lips. I had two gin&tonics and was out and about for around six hours....without checking my make-up. I felt like my inner lip had no color left on it....but when I looked at myself finally...the color had not budged one bit! Amazing! I love it and would love to get the other colors in their line!
I bought this because I used to use medium pink and this is the updated version. I really like this because it's fool-proof...it's hard to over-do this on your cheeks...it also has a very slight sheen ...NOT glittery ...the color wakes up my medium skin tone and never clashes with the other makeup on my face...a believable coral tone with a nice texture..not cakey. I use the brush .. I think it's the perfect size for depositing the right size swoop of color. I have hit pan on this and the hinges on the container have broken on both sides ...so that kinda bothers me , but I taped the hinge. The packaging is nice and slim , great for travel.
I bought this at Ulta ...I loved the color so much...I got in the car with the B.F. and put it on.The smell nearly knocked the B.F. out! It smelled really strong like Jolly Rancher's candy. The next day I tried it on again...the fragrance was even stronger! I had to take it back ...the smell was overwhelming! Too much...smells like fake fruit punch plastic.BUT- the color is so nice , very light peachy nude with just a tiny bit of sparkle , that you can see up close...it's not too sticky...nice balmy feel. This does not last very long on my lips...I'd say it's the shortest wear of all my lip-glosses.It did not look shiny after about 5 minutes. Didn't work for me.
I bought this from Sephora , about 4 yrs ago. I saw the packaging and that made me pick it up to look at it...the name also. I loved the fragrance immediately! I bought the 1 oz. spray.(I think...well ,the smallest cutest) I have worn this a lot. I get compliments mostly from people standing close by. This is not a strong , overwhelming fragrance. It's very nice and clean...on me, it smells very lemony and a tad spicy...nice watery scent.I wish it could last longer , though.....so I carry it with me..to respray through the day. I now wish I bought the body butter (or cream) and the solid ...all the types of applications for this scent ...as I bet layering the scent would greatly help.I think this was discontinued ...but Amazon.com has it.
If you have ever used Prismacolor art markers ( I'm speaking of art supplies...markers for drawing on paper, etc.) These are exactly like those markers....pointed tip saturated ink tip marker style...I love them! They TRULY last and for me , they did not feather. I got the color 'Forever Mine Wine". Kiss proof , Pho proof (soup/stew), lasts overnight, also! The color choice seems good ...but the color of the package does not match the contents...from what I can tell...based on other reviewers also. The colors are brighter from what I have read about....I have that experience ,too : The color I was hoping for was a berry burgundy shade....this (Forever Mine Wine) was more hot magenta...but it is build-able...in depth and intensity(I can make this much darker by applying more layers)...I only slightly wiped it on...hoping for that water-color stain.... I love how this lasts so long! The product does not include a lip balm...so this can be a bit drying...just use your favorite lip balm or try layering it.Overall... I think it's not quite as good as Revlon 'Just Bitten" lipstains....I really love those...The color of the swatches and the tube color is very accurate. That is why I only give 4 .
I bought the 1 oz. at $2.85. I bought this to make a anit-itch spray for my cat and me. (He has a ear polyp and I can't afford to have it removed at the moment...and it causes him to itch...it's blocking his ear canal).....anyway ...I have a lot left ...I have used this (the gel on it's own) on mosquito bites and torn/dry cuticles ...this is wonderful...the next morning the redness and irritation is gone. it has a seaweed extract to thicken it ...so it stays where you place it. A little goes a long way ...very nice and cooling...... Oh, in case you want the anti-itch spray for humans and pets (dogs also like this) here it is:In a 1 oz. spray bottle- 2/3 of that bottle fill with witch hazel(I used a store brand) then 5 to 9 drops tea tree oil(as desired- this is pretty strong smelling oil, but it is the key ingredient)...then a teaspoon of the Aloe Life Skin Gel...shake to mix. You can apply by a cotton ball ...as most pets don't like the spray. You may want to test this and see if you or your pet is allergic...test a small area ,like your fore-arm..the pets leg...wait 24 hrs.
Treatments -Farouk CHI - CHI Organics Olive Nutrient Therapy Silk Oil
In2th3night 9/15/2011 7:50:00 PM
I got a free sample from Ulta. A small bottle. My hair is colored and tends to frizz during styling. I tried this first on dry hair , I used a small amount ..about the size of a dime on my ends. Great shine and did not weigh my hair down. I found that this works great with a curling iron, also. I also tried this on my hair after shampooing , on damp hair. I blew my hair straight. It seems to protect and add shine. I found a website that lists the ingredients ...but I lost it ..I will add this later. It is mostly natural oils at the top of the list and there is dimethicone. I think this is lighter than Argan oil...it may be because your hair absorbs the natural oils in this first and then the small amount of dimethicone follows and leaves a light coating. ..The smell is not too bad , kinda like unsweetened green tea..but goes away quickly....This is very expensive stuff ..I've seen it listed for sixty-something dollars for 8.5 oz.! ...but you can find it on eBay for a pretty good deal. A little goes a very long way.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Salon Sciences Instant Artificals : Protect
In2th3night 9/12/2011 7:09:00 PM
I love this! I use it as a base coat and it fills in ridges perfectly. Great as a top coat , too! I bought the one called "protect". It dries really fast too...it's thick and shiny on it's own...on bare nails. Instantly strengthens natural nails! It does allow your nails flexibility. This was $7.00 -ish at Sally Beauty Supply with a discount membership card. (which is $5.00 a yr...but you get a five dollar coupon off your next purchase of $25.00 or more) To me $7.00 is a lot to spend on a nail hardener...but this truly does what it says...for a change. I've tried a lot of hardeners and nothing else comes close to this one.
