I so wanted to like this product. I was all set to order it online and then realized I should probably try out the sample of it I had gotten from Sephora. Good thing I did. After two nights of use, my pores were congested w/ blackheads and I had 6+ whiteheads/blemishes scattered about my face. Turns out the main ingredient is coconut oil, which is highly comedogenic. This feels nothing like a serum; rather, it feels like a thin oil. If you are remotely prone to breakouts/blackheads I would stay away from this product. In all honesty, I think this product is a glorified coconut oil blend, and I'm sure there are far better night treatments out there.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Out Waterproof Formula

This mascara gives great length and fullness and doesn't budge. You practically need turpentine to get it off. What I dislike about it is the mascara overflows from the container every time you insert the wand. Not only is it an absolute mess and all over your hands, tube, counter, and makeup bag, but it is a waste of product! Will keep it though for the job it does on my itty bitty lashes.

In a moment of pure desperation, retail insanity, and perhaps panic over turning 30, I purchased the Tracie Martyn line at Barneys. This product is v. liquidy and fluid for a serum. It has a floral-herby scent to it and is violet in color. Was sticky going on but that soon subsided. However, this product did NADA for my dry yet oily, uneven, and blemish-prone skin. Possibly caused breakouts as well. I was a sucker for the hype (damn Vogue and Bazaar)and was delusional in thinking that I too could have skin like Liv Tyler. Not worth the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ it costs, imo!

Scrubs -Tracie Martyn - tracie martyn enzyme exfoliant

I was really in a retail relapse when I bought this one. Fed up w/ my dry yet oily, uneven, and blemish-prone skin, I bought this at Barneys. Out of all the Tracie Martyn products, I was least impressed w/ this one. It was rather ordinary, smelled like fish, was limited in amount, and yielded the results that any scrub would. So not worth the amount of $$$. Went right back to Barneys. Save your hard-earned duckets, girls!

Cleansers -Tracie Martyn - Amla Purifying Cleanser

In a moment of pure desperation and retail insanity, I purchased the Tracie Martin line at Barneys. When I hit 30, my skin hit a wall -dry yet oily, uneven, and blemish-prone. I thought this would be the panacea....anyhow, this cleanser has a gorgeous texture - it's like a foamy oil. The smell is quite nice too. Did a decent job of cleansing; however, it gave me numerous whiteheads. Gave it 2 trial runs and alas, it broke me out. Blessing in disguise I believe, as I must have been out of my bloody mind to purchase this (Cristal dreams on a Budwiser budget). Back it went to Barneys and I slept better for it. Would not rec for those w/ blemish-prone skin and/or shallow pockets.

I didn't care for the texture or application of this product. Felt like it dragged along my skin instead of speading smoothly. Was not v. moisturizing either. There are many other creams out there that are far better than this one.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

If one more dermatologist or magazine tells me to use this, I'll scream. While it's supposed to be some sort of panacea for sensitive skin and the HG of all skin cleansers, I think it's crap. My face would be cleaner if I rubbed body butter all over it. Sorry, I don't get the hype...

Scrubs -Natural Esscents - Sugar Limone Body Scrub

STOP buying Fresh's Sugar Scrub - this is a fabulous dupe and a better scrub to boot (plus, you can buy 8 jars of this for the cost of one Fresh jar!). A beautiful blend of citrusy lemon and brown sugar - absolute heaven to use. Am so in love w/ it that I have BEGGED the owner of this company TWICE to pretty please make other products in this scent...

Candles -Tocca - Candle in Stella

This is a beautiful blood orange/floral scent. However, the candle's scent throw is really poor. These candles are overhyped and overpriced for what you get, IMO. Too bad, as the scent is lovely.

Lotions/ Creams -Suds and Light - Silky Shea Body Lotion

This is a thick, dense lotion that goes on rather smoothly. Sinks in immediately w/ no lotiony (new word) residue. A really nice product that retains scent well. I got this in Pink Sugar and I don't even need to apply the perfume (but I do anyway b/c I am a product abuser).

Ok, yet another instance of my falling victim to advertising (a product called "orgasm"?! My response: "Oh God - must have it, YES YES!"). However, this stuff does give a glow like you've just experienced multiple O's. I can't tell you how many compliments I get when I wear this blush. I believe it's a universal shade, so I highly rx you to give it a try.

An absolute treat for your skin - incredibly moisturizing, does not compete w/ your perfume, and leaves your skin w/ a healthy sheen. Great for your limbs in the summer!
