Skincare - Face -Murad - Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel
ILoveBuff 1/4/2013 9:19:00 PM
I can never be without this stuff again!! I was turned on to it a couple of years ago - I caught the Murad acne system infomercial one night and ordered it because I was at my wit's end with my skin. While I stopped using the entire system after a few months, I always keep the Exfoliating Gel on hand. If I'm breaking out or my pores are clogged, one or two nights of putting this on before bed will clear me up. I use it in combination with Clinique's Acne Solutions cleanser and the two work well for me. For reference, I'm 29 with oily, very acne-prone skin.
I'm glad I got this only in the holiday mascara set instead of purchasing it outright. I don't get the hype over this product! The little brush is perfect for bottom lashes but the mascara itself is not that great. It mades my lashes stick together and I feel like it's gone within a few hours.
Cleansers -Clinique - Acne Solutions Antibacterial Soap

I'm 29 years old, with oily skin that is prone to clogging/breakouts. My skin tends to dry out very easily if I'm cleansing with the wrong thing. I have used the whole Acne Solutions line off and on for over a year. I recently switched to the Mild Liquid Soap and after a week or two found my skin breaking out and very congested. I always go back to the Acne Solutions Soap. I have cleansed with it for two days and my skin is already much more clear. FYI I use the bar soap. I originally used the foam cleanser, but I just went through it way too fast. The bar has lasted me since March of last year!
Such a pretty, neutral pink polish! Great for manicures. I was a little nervous when I saw how opaque this is. I usually prefer sheer colors when doing my own nails since I'm a little shaky, BUT I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this goes on. I would definitely suggest both a base and top coat with this one since I think the color would show any ridges/imperfections in your nails. This is not one of those polishes that requires multiple coats! Just one did the trick for me and looked great. I have a light, neutral skintone but I think this would look great on a variety of skintones. NOTE: I received this as part of my July Birchbox shipment, so I gave it a 3 for pricing as I have no idea how much it would cost to purchase.
I cannot write enough about how much I love Obagi. This has been a miracle for my skin. The only thing that has ever worked before for my moderate acne is Accutane. When I had my last facial, I literally only needed three pores extracted! That in itself is huge. I get compliments all the time now on my skin, and it feels wonderful! THIS WILL DRY YOU OUT IN THE BEGINNING! My skin peeled a good bit the first week or so. Stick it out, and use the BP gel only every other day if you have to. You will be so glad you did once you start to see results! Also, make sure you follow the directions exactly and you will be amazed with what a difference this makes to your skin!
I got this with my starter kit when I first began using EM. I tried it once, as a blush, and I wasn't thrilled, so I just put it in my vanity drawer and forgot about it. After reading the reviews here, I pulled it out this morning and used it as an allover face color, and I'm so glad that I did! My skin looks like velvet. No glitter is visible either. For reference, I have fair, cool-toned skin.
This is my perfect lip gloss, hands down. It goes well with my golden brown hair, fair cool skin and blue eyes. It also wears well and I usually only have to re-apply after eating. I love MAC lipglasses in general, but this is by far my favorite!
Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Olive Oil and Honey Soap

I wanted the regular Olive Oil Soap, but picked this up instead when my grocery store was out. First of all, I love the honey smell that's left on my skin all day. BUT - this is my new great facial cleanser. I can't use many ingredients in my skincare - sulfates, silicones, etc. - so I thought KMF soaps would be a good way to go. Goodbye clogged pores, blackheads, blemishes (well, not goodbye blemishes totally, but I have not broken out again since I started using the soap). Plus, I was blotting 1-2 times a day, and now I do not have to blot my face. My makeup stays fresh all day! Huge rave from me. Can't wait to try the regular Olive Oil Soap.
My stylist recommended this...I bought it, used it once or twice, and then didn't use it for a few months. Last night on a whim I washed my hair with this, and today, I've been sitting at my desk, dabbing my face with a Benadryl "Itch Relief Stick" to combat the itchy rash left behind by this shampoo. I know it was this, as it's only on the places my hair touches, plus my scalp is itching terribly as well. Into the trash it goes! I hate sulfates.
Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation - Intensive formula [DISCONTINUED]

For the record, I have oily, acne-prone skin with old red marks from past breakouts. I wear this every day and even look pretty good under the hideous flourescent office lights. That in itself is saying a lot!! Since switching to mineral MU, I really don't break out anymore. I love this foundation and will purchase it as long as I'm able to. I do have to blot once a day, usually around noon, but I have to do that with ANY foundation.
This is my HG undereye concealer. I apply it before my mineral foundation and it lasts all day, barely creases, and totally covers my allergy-related dark circles. It's worth every penny!
These are awesome! I, too, used the Clean and Clear sheets before, but find these to be just as good and much cheaper! I just stocked up at my Target - got their last three packs, which gave me 150 blotting sheets for $3. You can't beat that! These do a great job of removing shine, and I typically need to do it only once each day.
Skincare - Face -L'Oreal - AcneResponse Intensive Adult Acne Peel
ILoveBuff 8/23/2006 1:03:00 PM
I feel I can safely reveiw this product after using it for now over a month. I think that the cleanser (pre-peel prep treatment) has caused me a couple of cystic bumps on my cheeks, because it contains silicones and that is my normal reaction to silicones. However, I am still very pleased with the peel after discontinuing the use of the cleanser (I use my normal cleanser to remove makeup, then apply the peel). Pores are clearer and smaller, skin is smoother and softer, and acne marks are fading. Great product! I think it could work for anyone; you just have to figure out how it works best for you. I use it every other night with no irritation and great results.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30
ILoveBuff 8/20/2006 11:09:00 AM
This does make my skin oilier than usual, like a lot of other reviewers said. However, I will continue to use it because it's one of the VERY few moisturizers with SPF that don't contain silicones. Silicones are horrible to my skin.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom-lotion
ILoveBuff 7/10/2006 12:12:00 PM
I adore this scent. I layer on the lotion and body splash, and it lasts all day on me. I hope that B&BW never discontinues this scent, as they are apt to do!
