Blush -MAC - Sheertone in Pinch O'Peach

Best. Blush. Ever! :) I reach for this most days (it lives in my handbag) as the colour so easy to wear and looks very natural on my NC15 skin. It's a sheertone so it builds easily and looks soft on the skin. Loooove! :)

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
rated 4 of 5

This has become one of those products where I wonder how I ever lived without it! Finding the perfect concealer for covering up my hyper pigmentation and acne scarring has always been a challenge because I loathe cream concealers- no matter what I do you can always see them on my skin, emphasizing dry patches I never knew I had! Anyway, rant over ;) This stuff is great! With two layers I can cover up the scarring around my cheeks and mouth without it looking obvious. Perfect. :) But the best thing is that it does not budge! Ever EL doublewear doesn't last on me but I can get a good 12-15 hours out of this. I also don't find that it oxidises throughout the day. The packaging however is terrible, as many have said, the pump dispenses waaaayyyy too much. I use a regular concealer brush to apply it or my mac 224, however for under the eyes I use a different concealer as this one is a little too heavy and matte.

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
rated 5 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/28/2012 8:18:00 AM

Absolutely brilliant foundation, the colour is spot on for me (I use 51 and I'm in-between and NC15 and NC20 in Mac), it blends effortlessly with every brush I've tried and with fingertips to give that "your skin but better finish" that everyone craves. I was already a big fan of the original healthy mix foundation, but I did find that it oxidized :( This one doesn't at all and I find it to be even lighter on the skin, yet still have very buildable coverage :) It claims to last up to 16 hours which is a little optimistic, but even on my oily skin it lasts 10-12 hours with Milk of Magnesia underneath and set with a powder. The finish is semi-matt, very natural looking :) LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Tinted Lip Balm - Hibiscus
rated 5 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 11:43:00 AM

I LOVE this product. I think I've used it everyday since I purchased it in early December. Gives a beautiful natural tint to my lips, the colour is very flattering on my pale skin with golden undertones. The colour somehow manages to just brighten my face and I get a nice colour pay off. It is pretty moisturising so it's a great choice for winter, but as it looks so natural I also think it'll be lovely in summer :) It doesn't last as long as a lipstick, but then again, it doesn't claim to. Easily one of my top 5 favourite lip products :)

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
rated 4 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 10:15:00 AM

This mascara does exactly what I need it to :) I can get a nice natural look for day time, lots of length, but it also builds up really well if you want something more dramatic. The little spikey kinda bristles on the end of the brush mean that you can really flick out and extend the outer corner lashes- really useful if you want a sort of cat eye effect without using a winged eyeliner. The only reason I haven't given it 5 lippys is because I find it irritates my eyes a little after wearing it all day :( Also, I find it quite difficult to remove. However I would repurchase because I love the results so much- it gives great volume and length without clumping or giving me crispy, dry lashes :) Love.

Moisturizers -MAC - Oil Control Lotion
rated 5 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 8:47:00 AM

Love this stuff! Does it keep me shine free all day? No, but it keeps my oil at bay a lot longer than anything else I've tried. It also keeps my skin really smooth and is a great base for make up as it it somewhat hydrating- eliminating the need for both a moisturiser and a primer if you have oily skin.

Liquid -Chanel - Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 8:35:00 AM

Got to say, I love the way this makes my skin look! It is indeed matte, but it's not a flat matte at all, skin still has some luminosity without being full blown dewy- makes this product a winner for oily skin. The shade selection isn't fantastic and Chanel have discontinued a few shades in the UK, including mine (5 faence). They tend to sway towards being very neutral, which in all fairness, is quite rare with a lot of brands as I find a lot to be very pink or very yellow and not natural looking. I find this foundation applies best with either a sponge, beauty blender, or fingers. I usually apply all foundations with my ELF powder brush but it just made ML look too heavy- I think this may be because the foundation is so thick and creamy. When applied with the beauty blender, my skin looks completely poreless! Occasionally ML can look a bit heavy when first applied, but after about 20 minutes, when it's dried and settled a little, it just looks fantastic :) Unlike ELDW, this product looks best on my skin when I begin to build up the coverage a little more- this is my go to foundation on a bad skin day. The coverage is definitely medium buildable. But I find this foundation lets me down when I want to wear it for an everyday day at work. It doesn't last on my skin for as long as I need it to, and tends to get a little patchy after around six hours of wear. However, I do have very oily skin so this would probably hold up for around 8-10 hours on combination skin. I would not recommend this foundation for dry skin as it can cling to and accentuation dry patches- like most mattifying foundations. Overall, this foundation doesn't work as an everyday product but for a night out or for a day when I'm running errands, I simply adore it :)

Cleansers -Vichy - Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel
rated 3 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 7:14:00 AM

I've been using the whole normaderm skincare range for around 3-4 months now, and initially I loved it! Found that I had less spots and my skin's texture had really improved aswell :) But recently I feel that this is not the perfect skincare range for me as it hasn't helped with my oily skin and i am starting to breakout again :( It's a shame because this cleanser foams up really well and removes make up really well too. It has a slight fragrance but it's not overbearing at all. Good for those with sensitive skin as it also is in no way drying! As despite being oily, I am prone to dryness around the mouth and cheeks and this product did not affect that in any way I would recommend this product to those who have combination skin with perhaps moderate acne as I do not feel that it is strong enough to tackle really bad skin, and it will not aggravate dryness.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 4 of 5
HoneyLust22 2/9/2012 6:49:00 AM

This is my everyday foundation for work as I need my make up to last for at least 12 hours. I find that DW will stay on my oily, blemish prone skin, but after 6ish hours, it doesn't look quite so perfect and it starts to feel a little icky on my face as the oil builds up. However, I really like the finish as it's natural, semi-matte. Despite being oily, I don't like really matte finish. I'm in the colour 1w1 Bone, which is very pale with yellow undertones, much more of a natural skin colour than MAC's NC15. Overall, the colour selection seems really nice for pale-medium skin tones. I love the fact that EL cater for pink, neutral and yellow undertones :) I apply this foundation either with the ELF powder brush or with my fingers and occasionally mix it with a little bit of MAC's oil control lotion to sheer it out a tad and help with the dreaded shiny face! I feel that despite being a medium-full coverage foundation, it looks and performs to its best when only a little is applied. It can look very natural and I find lasts longer on the skin. It has quite a liquidy consistency for a medium-full coverage foundation, which i really like. It's very different to revlon Colorstay or MAC Studio fix fluid which are far thicker and quite difficult to blend I find. Although I think this foundation is not quite perfect, it's the closest I've been to finding my HG foundation and if you have oily, blemish prone skin, it's really worth giving it a try! :)
