Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I'm NC30 and wear golden beige. I normally wear luxury brand foundations and recently bought estee lauder DW. However I needed an everyday foundation for work, so didn't want something as heavy as DW or as expensive! I saw this on offer for £6.99 at Superdrugs and thought I'd try it out. Its actually very good. Coverage is medium and matte but a fresh natural smooth matte. It lasted the whole day of work, evened out my skin tone and gave my skin a smooth appearance. I tried nars sheer matte a few days ago and though that was good this actually beats it! Some ppl are saying it made their face oily but if you set it with powder it wouldn't do that. I'm combo skin and I don't feel this makes my skin any oilier. Also maybe it didn't have a pump before or maybe just the UK ones have a pump, but my one has a pump, which is awesome when you're in a hurry in the morning. I like this very much and would recommend.
Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase Paste #2 Medium

This is an amazing concealer for undereye circles. Its salmon coloured so you wouldn't be able to use it on blemishes etc - its for undereyes. Also because its salmon coloured it seems to correct and conceal my dark circles. Anyway I'm NC30 asian skin with yellow undertones. This is excellent, it conceals my horrible purple undereye circles, it lasts for the whole day of work.
I bought mine in Indigo from Debenhams. It was in the sale for 7 pounds so I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered online and it came sealed but not in a box! I know this is a small detail but I cannot gift someone something that isn't boxed (if I wanted to gift). Anyway now onto the product - looks lovely but irritated my eyes and didn't last at all. I do not have asian eyelids so whoever is using that excuse below is being silly anyway. It just disappeared after half an hour. I expected more from a high end brand such as Lancome. My opinion is buy but only if significantly reduced.
This is the lighter and fresher version of Angel and therefore it's better for office wear than the original. Lasting power however is not nearly as good as the original. With Angel you can smell it all day and a little goes a long way. However with Innocent, you can barely smell it 5 mins after spraying. Furthermore, it came with a cheap plastic cap which sort of took the glam factor away. So therefore pros - lighter and fresher than original Angel so can wear in office Cons - lasting power and cheap plastic cap If you get it on offer buy it and try I'd say. I got it for half price at £13 so it was worth it for me.
I love the scent of this cream! It's beautiful smelling, I don't know why some don't like it but I guess we are all different as humans :). This cream moisturises really well, without being greasy. I am so glad body shop brought it back and definately recommend it xx
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)

I use this to stipple in my foundation. It gives my face a smooth appearance so it works well. It also works well for applying blush - cream and powder, bronzer and bare minerals and sheer cover type powdered mineral foundations can be buffed in with this. However its cons are that it is really expensive and it sheds...a LOT. I do not appreciate using this to get an airbrushed look only to pick little hairs off of my face. The other day the hairs fell onto my chest and at first glance I freaked thinking how did I get a hairy chest! Then luckily realised it was the brush...but not luckily for my wallet :(. If you want to buy it then get it but as numerous girls have commented it sheds like a mutha :( x
Tinted Moisturizer -BeneFit Cosmetics - You Rebel Lite Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
Honey87 5/31/2011 3:08:00 PM
The original was too orange on my NC30 skin so I tried this instead. It doesn't provide much coverage - just fades away within an hour. Also when I first put it on it makes my skin oily and greasy :(. To rub salt in the wound (since this is quite expensive) the tube cracked and TM spilled out everywhere! This has happened to many ppl (see below reviews). Just not worth it. I use Estee Lauder Nutritious which gives me light-medium coverage, doesn't feel heavy or greasy and lasts well. It's a foundation but feels like a tinted moisturiser so that might be a better option.
Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup
Honey87 5/30/2011 9:38:00 PM
I really don't understand why they call this Double Wear. It doesn't have any DW characteristics. As has been said before it isn't long-lasting, it doesn't keep the oilies at bay - I have combination skin and am oily within an hour. It actually wears more like a mineral makeup, rather than DW. I think associating it with the DW name when it clearly doesn't have DW characteristics is very misleading to the public Estee Lauder! Also I am a MAC NC30 and have Asian skin. Estee Lauder's products just are not made for women of colour in my opinion. They have too many pink tones so I end up looking grey, as it what happened here. Staying power was terrible...at this rate it isn't even Single Wear!
Lip Gloss -Yves Saint Laurent - Golden Gloss 4 - Fuchsia
Honey87 5/30/2011 9:32:00 PM
This looked beautiful. It's a bright fuschia with golden glitter flecks in it. It looked nice on as well. However the staying power was useless! Nyx lipglosses are a third of the price and stay better...it is just very unfair to have paid what I paid and get this inferior product. It also tastes bitter and when it ends up going in my mouth (which is inevitable with a gloss) it tastes so foul I cringe. Not impressed at all, don't waste your hard earned cash folks :(
I love this. It's an Amplified Creme and their textures are really smooth and feel good on the lips. I don't like purple lips believe me, but this looks good applied the right way. I apply one coat and put a light pink lipgloss on top. It then looks pink with a purple hue rather than sooo purpley. However I love the pinky purple look it gives me once I put the gloss over it. I am Asian and that is a much more flattering way to wear the lipstick. Good product and good staying power.
I really love this. It's a sort of peach colour with shimmer but the shimmer isn't obvious or that noticable. I really don't like shimmer so I'm happy about that. You get 15ml in one lipgloss. It costs around $5-$6 in the US but about £6 in the UK. That is kind of annoying as £1 = $1.50 so they should take into consideration our stronger pound rather than changing the dollar to a pound sign for the UK. I do love this lipgloss, the staying power is good, it smells nice, it feels nice on my lips. This, gold pink and tea rose are lovely. I have ordered Dolly Pink as well so let's hope that is just as gorgeous! Buy this girls! x
Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner-BIRTHDAY SUIT
Honey87 5/30/2011 9:18:00 PM
This is a gold colour with a sort of greyish tone rather than a yellow tone and has a shimmer to it. I liked how this doesn't crease. It's a bit blah however seeing as I am NC30 so it just blends into my skin colour. It looked nice enough originally and made a great base, however I have had it two years and now it gives my eyes a dry and clumpy appearance. Not really impressed after that :S
This is a lovely pinkish reddish unusual lipstick, the colour is really unusual and matte thank goodness so it just looks beautiful and lasts forever on the lips. I really like it very much and would purchase again
This does not cover well at all. My dark circles still show through. I have to use it with the Bobbi Brown corrector and then this and then I can face the world lol. It isn't worth it, there are better concealers out there on the market. The Mac studio fix is more for blemishes than under eye circles. It's a very drying concealer so will make your under-eye look cakey and dry. I am still on the search for a HG concealer :(
This is an amazing brush, I don't know how I lived without it so long...it probably explains why my makeup didn't look so good lol. It allows you to do more intricate work on the eye, you can also blend eyeshadows under the eye for that smokey look and also can use it in the crease. I definately think this is a very important brush to have for eye makeup. The eye shader brush, the 217 blender brush and this are the holy trinity of eye makeup application as far as I am concerned. Expensive but worth it believe me
