I cannot say enough about this color. While it is frosty, if you use a light hand, you will be fine. I use this alone for work, or pair it with Dapple or Puppy for more going out. Some below say you can't wear it if you are over 30, but I am over 35 and it looks gorgeous on me. I think any Stila fan should have this as a staple e/s.

Shampoo -Nexxus - Theratin

Like the previous reviewer, I have naturally curly hair that needs tons of moisture. My other shampoo was just not cutting it and I have had good luck with all the Phyto Organics (PO) products so far, so I thought I would give this a shot. First, this product smells absolutely amazing. It has a very light coconut scent. When you squirt some of this in your hand, you can already tell this shampoo is different. It is very thick, and has a nice lather. You do not need a lot of it. I love the way my hair feels when I wash it out, and I follow up with PO Humectin leave-in conditioner. Viola! Perfect hair. The packaging of PO products are top notch, and their prices are reasonable. There are a few reputable online stores that sell it, and I also found an outstanding ebay seller who sells the product at a great price as well.

Conditioner -A/G - fastfood

For years I have been a Nexxus Humectress loyal user, but lately it didn't seem to be doing the same thing for my hair as it used to. I bought Fastfood over the summer, but was hesitant to use it because of the humidity. I dug it out the other day, and now wonder what took me so long to try it. I think this conditioner surpasses Humectress. It feels wonderful when you put it in your hair, and smells great with a tiny hint of vanilla. I apply it in the shower to very wet hair, towel dry and then apply product. I have very curly hair, and my hair has great curl formation with this conditioner. My hair feels very soft, and dries frizz free using a diffuser. The only thing I found with this conditioner is that it may make my hair TOO soft. My hair is still curly, but the curls seem to pull out a bit by the end of the day - which isn't a bad thing right now. In the summer when the humidity returns, that may be another story. It leaves my hair very shiny. The first day I used it I couldn't stop touching it because it felt so great. I would definitely repurchase this conditioner in a heartbeat. 12/4/06 UPDATE: Who knew you could get 67 degree weather here in the Northeast with rain and thunderstorms... Anyway, this conditioner unfortunately did not hold up with the high humidity, rain and wind we just had here. While it's good in the dry winter months, it did not do well in humid conditions. I deducted 1 lippie for this reason.

Cleansers -Clinique - Rinse-off foaming cleanser

I initially got this in a GWP, and loved it. I purchased a tube for myself, and still think this is a great product even tho I tend to like Philosophy Purity a tad bit better. You only need a small amount of the foaming cleanser to work. It lathers up nice, and works well to get off my m/u, but I do find a trace of my gel eyeliner once in a while. If you don't like your skin to be squeeky clean, then this is not for you. I can see how it is drying for some users, but it works great for my sometimes oily, sometimes combo skin. The only thing I don't like about it is it's packaging. As you get near to the end, it's hard to get the product out, even tho you know there is still a couple of weeks worth of washes in there. Also, the price on this has gone up :(

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)

I really like this cleanser. I am somewhat used to using a cleanser that I get a lot of suds out of. For some reason it makes me feel like I am doing a better job of cleaning my face, so when I tried this and got no suds out of it, I was skeptical. I am used to spending a bit of time massaging cleanser into my skin, so I took about a minute for this one (I use about a dime size amount). It washed off quickly and did not make my face feel squeeky clean - which I actually like. I dried with a towel, looked in the mirror, and it got every speck of makeup off my face. Even my sometimes hard to remove gel liner was completely gone. Not a trace. My skin also elt very soft and smooth, which was nice. I actually like the smell of the product, tho they could tone it down just a bit. I got this 4oz bottle for free with my Philosophy order, but would not hesitate to buy it when I am done with the bottle.

Styling Products -ISO - Bouncy Creme

I don't know what took me so long to buy this product. I have read great reviews about this product for YEARS, and finally bought my first bottle. I usually have to use a gel, so I tried my Biolage Gelee with the ISO and I have soft, beautiful, very shiny curls. I have never seen my hair so shiny. I apply the gel first, then layer a small amount of ISO over that, and it works great. It doesn't seem to work that great for me in humid weather, I use AG: recoil for that, but for the fall/winter, this is going to work beautifully. I am so happy I finally tried this. It is definitely a HG item for me.

All I can say is - believe all the hype. I had never heard of this before MUA, and would always be disgusted by how awful both my cream and powder shadows looked by the end of the day. The first time I used this, I used it with the Stila Eye pot cream shadow, and it looked the same 12 hours after applying it. I am very impressed, and will recommend this to everyone I know.

Liquid -Stila - Pivotal Skin Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

I received this foundation new in a swap, and am so glad I decided to give it a shot. It was easy to apply, and right away made my skin look great without that heavy foundation feeling. I was outside all day in the sun, and it held up great. I got home and didn't look the least bit oily - which my skin tends to be. It looked smooth and luminous - almost as good as when I first applied it. I will for sure repurchase this item.

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Gel eyeliner in Chocolate Shimmer

This is my first BB gel liner, and I am hooked. It is such a beautiful shade of brown with the perfect amount of sparkle to it. It's classy yet fun. I have very oily eyelids, and this stays put all day until I take it off. It's easy to apply, and if it seems too dark for you, don't apply as much and it comes out very soft. I can't wait to try other colors from this line.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Elucence Moisture Benefits

After reading about this for years on naturallycurly.com and on these boards, I finally found it at curlmart.com and ordered a small bottle of it (which is cheap!). I must say, this is a great shampoo. You really only need a small amount of product to get a good lather, and it has no sulfates. The smell is wonderful, and it rinses nice out of your hair. I have curly hair that tends to frizz in the summer, and this shampoo did not weigh it down at all. I will definitely repurchase.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types

I thought this was a pretty normal moisturizer given all the hype. It really does have a nice texture and spreads really nice. I have normal skin and had no breakouts. The smell was a tad potent at first, but then I got used to it, but it really did nothing special for my skin. Plus, with no SPF, it's really not worth repurchasing to me. I think my skin looked better using Clinique repairwear night cream. Tho Clinique is more expensive, I think I will purchase that the next time around, and continue to use my Oil of Olay for daytime use.

I swear I have been looking for the PERFECT product for the summertime humidity, and I think I finally found it. After reading numerous raves about this product off naturallycurly.com, I finally caved in and bought it. The first time I used it, I got stuck in rain and humidity for about 2 hours, and my hair totally held up. As everyone says, a little of this product goes a LONG way, and it is easiest if used on hair that is very wet. I used this on top of Biolage Gelee and had amazing results. I don't think the smell of this product is that bad, in fact, I think it's pretty faint.

Styling Products -Ouidad - Curl Quencher Moisturizing Gel

Having been a user of the Ouidad Curl Quencher Shampoo, I thought I try this gel. I tried it for the first time on my own, and my curly hair just flopped. It had no hold at all. The next day, I used my Biolage Gelee and added this to the ends of my hair, and it worked my better. It actually does feel moisturizing, and gave me great curl formation. Ouidad products go bad quickly tho, within about 6 months, I noticed a very strong alcohol smell to this gel, which is disappointing since I can't afford to dish out the $$ for another one because it goes bad. I am currently trying to find an alternative to this expensive brand, but if I don't, I will repurchase this until I do.

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioning Balm

I think I am also in the minority here in not liking this product. I couldn't wait to try this after hearing all the raves about it. I tried it in place of my Kenra Intensive Emolient Treatment. I have just past the shoulder curly hair, that needs moisture. When I applied this in the shower, it seemed like my hair couldn't get enough of it. I had to keep putting more and more in, and it still felt like I needed more. I put the micro haircap on, left it on for 15 minutes and rinsed. My hair felt like straw. It was even worse when I tried to diffuse it. My hair was unmanageable, frizzy and felt awful. I won't even give this a second shot. I am going back to my Kenra!

Shampoo -Nexxus - Phyto Organics Hydruss

I love this shampoo! I have been using shampoo specifically made for curly hair, and since I love Nexxus products, I thought I would give this one a shot. I used about a nickel sized amount for my curly just past shoulder length hair. Immediately after applying it I knew this shampoo was different. It felt very slippery when shampooing my scalp - I never had this feeling before when shampooing. It lathered nice, and seemed to clean my hair well. It rinsed cleanly and quickly without making my hair feel squeeky clean - which I don't like. I used Nexxus Humectress and a leave-in (now relabelled Phyto Humectin) and my hair felt great. I have great curl formation and my hair is super shiny. Once my hair dries, my hair is soft and feels totally moisturized. I would highly recommend this shampoo to anyone looking for a good moisturizing shampoo.
