Bath Treatments -Burt's Bees - Baby Bee Buttermilk Bath Pint
HollyE 3/9/2004 5:59:00 PM
I use this for me and my daughter. Smells great, and is really moisturizing. I got some for half off and was thrilled. I love it so much I'd buy it for full price though. The scent is sweet milk, honey, and apricots.
Lotions/ Creams -Scentful Bliss - Vanilla Zinger Marshmallow Shea Cream
HollyE 2/16/2004 4:22:00 PM
This is probably one of my favorite Vanilla scents. It's sort of a "zingy/tangy" vanilla, as the name implies:) Nice, but not sickeningly sweet, with enough cake scent to make it interesting. And, as loulou said, no almond or cinnamon notes that seem to come with most cakey scents. I've reordered the large size in this as well as the scrub and honey wash. I love it! UPDATE: My husband brought home some Vanilla Zingers from the store, and they really taste alot like the products smell:) Good stuff!
I purchased this on a whim, because the ingredients sounded interesting and the concept was similar to Eve Lom's. This cleanser has the consistency of thick paste, and has a slight rose (rosewater and rose absolute eo) scent. You just rub the paste all over, and then use a warm washcloth or cotton flannel/muslin and wipe it off. It really removes all my makeup, and I haven't broken out from it. It does contain Peanut oil, but it is low on Sage's list. BUT I know some people will breakout with any oil, so I thought I'd mention it. My face looks great. It's rosy, the tone is even, it's soft, and no breakouts. I'm very pleased with this cleanser. I've been using it for two weeks, so we'll see if the clear skin continues.:)
I got this body butter custom blended with essential oils of Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, and Tangerine. It's a nice tart grapefruit, but the orange and tangerine give it a nice sweet quality. Not candy sweet, but a natural sweet. The butter itself has a wonderful thick texture, that blends right into the skin. I'll definitely be ordering more products from Anji in the future.
It's described as a vanilla cake scent with fresh peaches, syrupy raspberries, and red currants. I can definitely smell the fruit, but the vanilla is faint. It's just enough vanilla to make it creamy. It's not a sickly sweet peach either, but a very natural scent. The red currant and raspberry really give this tart some depth, and I must say it's perfect. Not foody, and somewhat fruity, but a natural fruit, not a candy or sugary fruit. Just perfect.UPDATE: I must add that this tart is one of the strongest tarts I've burned. I could smell it when I went out in my yard. It's lasted longer than some other scents too.
Candles -A Zaftig Woman - Lemon Poundcake Soy Tart

Awesome scent! Very refreshing and warm. It's just a hair shy of smelling like Pledge, but the addition of the cake really mellows it out. I'm definitely going to order more of these. It's a great citrusy scent that doesn't bowl you over.
Lotions/ Creams -EO - Coco Body Balm-Natural Coconut
HollyE 8/1/2003 7:48:00 PM
This is some thick balm! It's quite heavy, but spreads well and almost feels a like it's whipped. What I love about this balm is that I can wear it with any fragrance. Although it's "Natural Coconut" it basically smells like a sliced open coconut, but fainter. It's not sweet at all. Some of the ingredients include: Virgin Coconut Oil, Honey, Green Tea, Chamomile and Aloe Vera. There is no fragrance added, so that's a plus too. Great for the entire body, but especially good on feet, elbows, etc. EO also has the matching "Natural Coconut" body creme too. It's very similar, but just a tad lighter consitency.
Mocha Latte has been my favorite smelling candle since I purchased one over a year ago. A very warm and inviting coffee scent with just a touch of deep chocolate and milk to sweeten it up. My house always smells so nice when I burn it. I don't really drink coffee, but I love this one. Anyone who is a fan of coffee should get this one. I've repurchased this candle(and tart) numerous times.
Lotions/ Creams -A Zaftig Woman - Shea Souffle-La PecheTarte
HollyE 8/1/2003 6:27:00 PM
Smells just like it's name. It's a tart, slightly creamy peach. I think I may smell a bit of apricot too. It's not sickening sweet, but smells very fresh and tart. Shea Souffles are very moisturizing and non greasy. They have the consistency of whipped frosting in a can. Another winner. UPDATE: As I have worn this more often I've realized that it's the same scent as their Peach Melba tart, which is the same scent as CBV and LOL Peach Ambrosia. These are some of my favorite tarts, so I'm loving this Shea Souffle even more now.
Lotions/ Creams -A Zaftig Woman - Honey Butter Souffle-Honey Orange
HollyE 8/1/2003 6:23:00 PM
Definitely tangy and citrusy. It "almost" smells like children's chewable orange flavored aspirin, but better. It's like sweet orange oil with an undertone of honey candy. Awesome and very strong scent. One of my favorites from AZW, which is hard, since I like so many.
Lotions/ Creams -A Zaftig Woman - Honey Butter Souffle-Hala Kahiki
HollyE 8/1/2003 6:13:00 PM
This smells sooo good. I'd read mixed reviews, but I'm glad I ordered it. Mine is a Honey Butter Souffle, so it may smell different in the Shea Souffle. Anyway, this smells like an even mixture of pineapple and blueberry with some vanilla to mellow them. Very fruity and refreshing. As always, the formulation is wonderful. Moisturizing and non greasy. I love AZW!EDITED: This got a bit too sweet for me after wearing it. It's not bad, just very sweet.
Lotions/ Creams -A Zaftig Woman - Lemon Buko Pie Shea Butter Body Cream
HollyE 8/1/2003 6:08:00 PM
This smells good enough to eat. I'm a fan of Lemon Creme, and this is similar. It does smell a bit more mellow though. Must be the coconut. I hope they come out with this scent in the souffles and candles soon. Wonderful stuff.
Lotions/ Creams -Natural Esscents - Holiday Body Spread Set
HollyE 7/27/2003 2:43:00 PM
The body spreads are the greatest formulation ever. Too bad they are no more:( I loved every scent in the set, except Sugar Cookie. I like it in the tub, but on my skin it turns into a sugar cookie/vomit mixture. My body chemistry musn't like it. Besides that, I love the body spreads. They are one of the best creams/butters I've used.
I also have the Shea Scrub in Pamplemousse and Squeeze Me. Both are wonderful tart, yet sweet citrus scents. Squeeze Me is more tart than Pamplemousse, but both smell really good and are invigorating. Even though they aren't the cheapest, they are very concentrated and last much long than normal sugar scrubs. They leave my skin very moisturized and soft.
I was on the fence about the shampoo, as it didn't seem too special when I used it alone, but when I finally tried the combo of the shampoo and conditioner my hair looks great. It's monsoon season in AZ, so it's humid all the time and my fine, dry hair frizzes VERY badly. Well, I used the the S&C combo, put some Sebastian 9 in my hair and blow dried it. My hair was bouncy, shiny, soft and no frizz. Also, I must add that it worked well at detangling my hair when I wet combed. My hair is generally healthy(no chemical processing), but a bit dry. So it may not be enough for someone with very damaged or coarse hair. I love the Tangerine Lemongrass smell too. It's predominantly lemongrass, but with the sweet/tart tangerine twist. I'm going to buy more:)
