This is really fantastic, let me start off by saying that I am currently on accutane so my skin is so sensitive I cannot use any other soap on it but the body shop's glycerin based at 6 bucks a pop. It's also super dry and I'm in the middle of a canadian winter and my skin also has HUGE pores, I'm not kidding here they look like freckles!! Anyway I bought this thinking hey well my old cleanser just ran out and the colour is a pretty pink. Right after the first use I noticed my skin felt a lot smoother and healthier, just right. There is some residual redness but I feel like that just b/c I'm using hot water and a facecloth. It goes away quickly and my pores are definitely getting smaller, as in I can no longer touch or scratch my nose and have blackheads pop out, hurrah! I do not like the smell of it all all, it smells very chemically bitter and almost like flowers? Another think to note, I have never had a problem with this before but everytime I use this cleanser it ends up in my mouth???? Why?? It tastes disgusting and that doesn't happen with any other product I use :P This is pricey but the bottle is very sturdy and huge and you don't really need more than one pump. Try it out, worse case you can return it and you've gotten a free face wash :P Merry Christmas!

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Waterproof Eyeliner Pen

I wish I wasn't allergic to this!!! I love eyeliner pens for their ease of doing the cat-eye look, I bought this in several colours from elf.com. The first few times I wore this my eyes seemed really dry and irritated so I stopped using this, recently I tried again b/c I remembered what a defined eye it gave me, unfortunately within several days of use, my eyelids were swollen, itchy, red and irritated and threatening a full blown eye infection *sigh*. Worth buying just to see if it works for you though at such a good price!

Powder -Prescriptives - All Skins Mineral Foundation spf 15

Wow, for someone so picky I'm surprised to say HG HG HG!!! I am normally a girl who needs a full coverage fdtn. and I have gone through so many bottles of liquid fdtn. I originally purchased this together with a custom made fdtn from Presciptives (which I love!!! HG too). I went home the next day and used the powder over the fdtn. and ewwww. Cakey, fake and oily all at the same time, YUCK! So this stuff had been sitting in the back of my makeup drawer for ages! I had recently been performing in musical theatre so I had been caking on the harsh stage makeup and sweating and I could see my skin stressing so the days I wasn't performing I boycotted my normal mu routine and just used my smashbox primer and the mineral powder overtop, WOW WOW WOW WOW. This provides full coverage and looks and feels like my real skin, I can literally look in the mirror up close and not be able to tell I am wearing fdtn. All I need is to put concealer on my heavy duty acne and it's perfect!!! I am so in love, there used to be days where I could not leave the house without a full face of labour intensive liquid fdtn. but with primer and this I look so polished and lovely!!! So a tip, DO NOT use over another fdtn, try by itself and It will be great!! :)

Shampoo -Joico - Body Luxe Thickening Shampoo

I'm on my second bottle of this stuff so I guess it must be good :). I used to have very thick hair but am on a medication that weakens and makes my hair fall out so I now have fine, delicate hair :( This is the shampoo and conditioner brand my hairdresser uses and obviously my hair always looks great when I come out so I thought I'd give it a shot, but at 14.99 per bottle this stuff is is priced like its liquid gold!!!!! But I have noticed how much nicer and healthier my hair is when I use this. It especially noticeable when I go to style it the next morning, it is a lot more co-operative which is saying something as my hair refuses to hold styles but with this my hair just kind of falls magically into place like I was Snow White! I find that no shampoos/conditioners ever live up to their promises to curl or straighten or volumize, it is the the shamp/cond. that helps the products work. Wold def. recommend! I also love that it's pH balanced <3

Lipstick -MAC - Lustering

This was my first M.A.C lipstick purchase and I spent ages mulling over what colour/finish to get, when I firs pulled this out my dad and I both went...wow so bright! But wen swatched or on my lips it is so beautifl, the first time I wore this I received compliments from people saying I was glowing and my lips were so lovely a shade! This lippie is a lustre so it goes on sheer but it is fairly buildable which is fantastic! Also, instead of fading, when the orginal 'sheen' dsappears after a few hours you are left with an absolutely beautiful stain left on your lips. Wow, such a gem! Love <3

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase paste

Wow! Most concealers I have tried have slid off my face within the hour or never stick at all...this one LASTS ME ALL DAY and provides 100% coverage. When I went back to the mirror tocheck if i needed to reapply or powder my acne I had a hard time finding the spots!!!! I have inherited cystic acne and am on my second round of Accutane so finding the right concealer is hey! Full full yet natural looking coverage. The pink undertones provide a good match for my blue/pink undertoned skin...maybe just maybe its in the running for HG :).

Foundations -Prescriptives - Custom Blend [DISCONTINUED]

All I can say is WOW, my goodness have I ever found my HG of HG!!!!! I started using this stuff a little under a year ago and I just went back to Holt Renfrew yesterday to stock up because my once beloved estee lauder is discontinuing this!!! I am actually panicking about this because when I got my completely accurate!! colour match the first time the sales lady compared it with their lightest premixed and I was 12 SHADES LIGHTER! That's right...TWELVE!!! It is perfect beyond belief, every single piece of makeup I've tried has been too yellow and I could see the woman putting my pink and blue undertones into the makeup...sighs of joy. I got a sheer-medium coverage with a dash of moisturizer as I'm on accutane and the winter months are cruel. What I love as well is that you see what is going into your makeup and it is talc and sunscreen free ( im allergic spf). It matches beautifully and today my friend pointed out that my skin was the first thing she noticed which is amazing because i have inherited cystic acne and rosacea as well as the fact im a hormonal teenager ! So to conclude, this stuff is worth the money as i have probably spent over a thousand dollars trying to find a good foundation and have tried all the pricey high end brands and nothing has left me as completely satisfied as this! To the people who have left negative reviews I think the problem is finding the right person to mix your foundation who knows what they are doing!! THIS IS KEY! I only trust my sales person to do the mixing for my foundation because it is an art as well as a science. This foundation is good for 2 years as it is antibacterial and spf free, somethings that can ruin your foundation. It applies well with either a sponge or a brush and lasts all say with no oil blotting! FYI Prescrpitives is shutting down the end of january so stock up before then as no new stuff is being ordered in! Good luck! Hope this helps!

Love,love,love this product! So amazing. I fought with myself about spending the money but it was absolutely worth every penny! I bought the bottle at least 3 months ago and I'm barely halfway through and using it 4 times a week. I use it on my lips and cheeks and it gives the most gorgeous natural lit from within glow!! It magically dries to a matte holding finish. On lips it is the perfect perfect natural but theres something else there stain! The only con is that if you use it before adding powder over your foundation it can wash away the coverage in that area. If this was not a stain I would use it as a perfume!! Since it is made from crushed roses, that is the smell you get, my mother is a gardener and guaranteed there is nothing artificial about the scent, it even smells more real than flower shop roses. So lovely!

First product review <3 Let me start off by saying I am a product snob, in stores I won't generally waste my time and just skip happily, chequebook open to the high-end stuff. Now to contradict myself, since my makeup budgets been hit, I've tried to become a 'recessionista'. Enter e.l.f. products. First of all, if I bought a new brush for every day of the month I would still be paying at least 70 less than I would for one good brush and a months supply of brush cleaner. The brush I received came in a protective plastic cover to protect while shipping, The pros of this brush for me include 1) PRICE 2) The bristles do NOT pick up or wipe your foundation off your face causing the brush to become yucky and wet 3) Picks up powder well 4) Does not cake on your powder 5) Bristles are not super-soft so it also doubles as a buffing brush, air-brushing the makeup I'm hearing a lot of negative comments and that surprises me, somedays my skin is so inflamed and acne prone it literally hurts and is raw, this brush did not hurt me. Yay!
